I am making a Rukonai Illegal, where is information about them so I can make one right? I was also told that they were exiled, fugitives or just plain thugs and some were ex- officers. What does it mean ex officers? Is that specific ranks or in general? Also who is the leader of this side?

They're a loose faction of, as said, illegal officers who've fled Seireitei. They don't quite have ranks but soon enough a leader will come about.
They weren't Captains, they could've been Vice-Captains or lower though.

Being an ex captain makes things complicated, I did see there is one RI who is an ex squad 10 captain. I figured to ask this here since it seemed like a common question. I am going to PM you about my zanpaktuo idea.

They were characters who were below Captain's and left or were exiled. His profile was changed from Captain to Illegal having that he was never a Captain. It just hasn't been edited yet.
