Shinon's Two-Part Fanfiction and Fanart Contest!
Ah, yes, December. One of the months I loathe. No, please don't ask me why, I am not inclined to explain why I dislike this horrible month.
Anyway, since it's December (Nevermind that I'm getting a head start by posting this two days early, consider me being generous by letting you have two extra days to jump on the bandwagon.) that means Holiday Festivities, Cheer, and Gaudy music all around.
So, FEFers, these are my contests:
This will be a "Two-part" Contest. First part lasts from Dec 1 til Christmas Day.
Second part is the Day-after Christmas til New years Day, Jan 1st.
FIRST PART OF THE CONTEST:
Write a fanfic involving the theme choices of "Family", or "Winter", bonus points for involving both.
Draw fanart of the above theme. Characters being all merry together in familial bliss, or dressed in christmas/festive outfits, or playing out in the snow, bonus points for all of the above.
Likewise, here is a CHALLENGE fanfic/fanart theme:
Write a fanfic involving metaphors and euphimisms for death and mourning with the winter and make it as dreadful and sad as possible.
Draw a fanart depicting such a scene.
Winners for the "Happy" Fanfic and Fanart will receieve:
First place Fanfic: 100k
Second place Fanfic: 50k
Third place Fanfic: 25k
Honorable Mention: 10k
First place Fanart: 100k
Second place Fanart: 50k
Second place Fanart: 25k
Honorable Mention: 10k
Winners for the "Sad" Fanfic and Fanart will receieve:
First place Fanfic: 150k
Second place Fanfic: 100k
Third place Fanfic: 75k
Honorable Mention: 25k
First place Fanart: 150k
Second place Fanart: 100k
Third place Fanart: 75k.
Honorable Mention: 25k
Is it obvious which theme I prefer better, yet?
SECOND PART OF THE CONTEST:
Theme for the fanfic part is: New Years-like theme. Celebrating the old, ringing in the new. Saying goodbye to the past, embracing the future, that type of stuff. It doesn't necessarily have to be a "new year", just themed around "letting go and receiving anew", ect. Starting over, that type of thing.
Fanart theme: ...You guys are probably gonna laugh, but I'm serious: I want a scene depicting a new years party at a bar or in a cozy home, preferably a group shot, but a single or just a few people is fine, too. Bonus if they're drunk and/or kissing someone else to ring in the new years because I'm a 'tard like that. Also bonus points if it's Shounen-Ai or Shoujou-Ai.
Winners of the Second Part of the contest will receive:
First place Fanfic: 100k
Second place Fanfic: 50k
Third place Fanfic: 25k
Honorable mention: 10k
First place fanart: 250k!!!!
Second place fanart: 175k
Third place: 100k
Honorable Mention: 75k

PLEASE READ THIS SO YOU KNOW HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR WORK TO ME!
Since my phone is quite retarded at the best of times, here's how you submit your stuff in to me:
For Fanfics: please PM me with your story, putting "Fanfic Contest Entry" in as your subject line so I will know!
For Fanart: PM me with the subject line of "Fanart Entry", in which I will contact you further in how to go about showing me your fanart. (Because my phone is retarded and only shows certain images on gaia and photobucket absolutely spazzes like a mofo.)
...And that's it! That's all there is to it.
All submissions turned in for the first part must be in before midday Christmas Day Central Time (GMT -6) to count!
All submissions for the second part must be turned in before New Years day Central Time (GMT -6) to count!
All submissions will be reviewed and the winners posted officially on January 2nd and the prizes dished out accordingly. Good luck, I look forward to seeing what you're all capable of!

Also should probably clarify this since some people asked: You can participate in all or whicever parts of the contest you want, you are not required to participate in both parts to enter the contest. So if you like fanfic theme for part one, enter it! Dont like part two's? Cool, skip it.
Also should be noted all entries must be FE related.
Any other questions needing to be clarified, feel free to ask!

OKAY PEOPLE, IT IS OFFICIALLY DECEMBER, NOW GET OFF YOUR ASSES AND START WRITING OR DRAWING AND SUBMIT YOUR STUFF IN TO ME. D8<
I also probably should have stated this before but when submitting please clarify which part of the contest you're submitting to. For part one, state its for the first part and if its for the sad or happy prompt/theme.

Although, this should also be said that if youre gonna try and combine the happy and sad, youre still gonna have to decide which side you want it featured in when you submit it, as I don't want "somewhere in between". If you do combine the two and want it in the happy side, then it has to be all doom and gloom first, then turn happy. If you want it in sad, it has to be happy smile and sunshine then doom and gloom.
Hope that clears it up.
