It had been cloudy all day, and Wolframite had been patrolling for a few hours before he felt the wind was picking up too much and warning him it was time to head home. He teleported to a nearby store to pick up some dinner, put it into his backpack, and started to head for the bus.

He had no idea he had been running late until he saw the bus heading away, and he raced just to see it drive away. Great. He had already used all his energy during his patrol which meant teleporting home was downright impossible.

Sighing, he started to walk to the long way home, not having enough on his and Billy's budget to get a taxi, not having a license, let alone a car, and not wanting to call Billy at work.

Then it started to rain.

"Oh come on!" He shouted to no one, and had to race down the walk until he went to the only place that had an awning and some light. Sighing, he stood underneath, now properly soaked and feeling chill. He should have brought his thicker jacket. He still had to make the walk home or decide to take the subway. Neither were appealing this time of night.

It was another boring day for Kor as he looked through the books and figured out the bills. It was paperwork for now because business had slowed down thanks to winter. Maybe it would pick up after people got their Christmas money or whatever, but as it was, he hadn't gotten a lot of customs. He was behind the desk, feet on it, books in his lap when he heard the rain starting to fall. Glancing towards the doors, he blinked and arched a brow.

"Odd..." But at the same time, not really. It just didn't call for rain in today's forecast. It wouldn't be the first time the weather man was wrong. "Starting to think I should prepare for the opposite of what he said," he muttered to himself.

Just as he was about to look away, someone appeared under his awning and seemed to be stuck there because of the rain. Being the kind of man he was, Kor couldn't let the kid just shiver out there in the cold. Glancing to the clock, he put the book down and got up to open the door. "Hey, kid. Uh.. Come on in before you die out here or something." He just didn't have the heart to let him stand there. "It doesn't look like it's going to stop any time soon."

That much was true, it was pouring down and with the thunder rolling like it was, the rain was bound to last a few hours. It was a place of business, so it's not like he was going to do anything bad to the kid. Besides, cops already were wary about tattoo parlors from what he'd noticed. They tended to hang around when the sun went down and he got the majority of his business.

Ladon jumped when he heard the door open and turned to see a taller man (though who wasn't taller than him?) standing there. He offered him to come inside, and while he was very wary of strangers, it was both wet and windy outside. It would also be very rude to turn down someone in favor of horrible weather and look like a complete d**k.

"Ah...well...um, okay. T-Thank you." He really wasn't sure, but a warm, dry store was a warm, dry, store. When he went over, he hadn't seen what sort of shop he was standing under, and came in with a confused expression. It wasn't a store that sold trinkets or stationary or food, not that this guy looked like he would be selling little granny nick-knacks. What he saw were great displays that showed designs and patterns and little drawn skulls and barbed wire. Even if he had never stepped foot in a tatoo place before, he could give a guess.

"Oh....so.......this is a tattoo place?" He said, hair dripping as he looked around. He was starting to wonder if he should have stood under a different awning. Last thing he needed was to get robbed or be approached by some bikers.

The jump just made Kor chuckle. He'd seen that coming. When the other moved inside, Kor headed to the back to get a towel or a few of the smaller towels he used when washing things down in the store. But they were clean and folded. He'd come around again to hear the other ask and he nodded a bit. "Yeah. My own little piece of heaven on earth, you could say." He just grinned and offered Ladon the towels, tilting his head a bit.

The kid looked nervous, even as he looked around. "Never been in one before? Nothing to be scared of. Go ahead, look around... I've got piercings on display. Earrings, navel rings, gauges, nose rings. Any kinda piercing you want, I got it. Any questions? Just ask, yeah? I know lots of people are curious about what goes on here."

He scratched at his tattooed arm and just watched him. "I'm Kor. I own this place." He smirked and offered his hand to the other, arching both brows, trying to look not so intimidating.

He glanced over to a display case when it was directed, and then stepped back when he was given a list of all the places that someone would want to puncture. "Ah, no. I don't want anything like that. That's....a bit much." He already had enough scars and damaged body parts that drilling holes in places just didn't come off as appealing. He also wondered what Billy would think if he came with a pierced belly-button or ..n..n****e.

"I'm Ladon." He returned, and looked around before looking back at him. "You own the place? Wow. You don't look that old. Ah...I mean....not that you look like a kid or anything...just....not super old?"

"Ladon? Interesting name." He grinned a little and shrugged, moving behind the desk and looked at his schedule. Nothing until later tonight. How boring. He looked back up to the teenager and then just laughed, a hand waving in front of him. "Oh man, no, I'm not old. I'm twenty-five, turning twenty-six in a couple of months, but still. I scrimped and saved since I was a kid, basically, to get my own business. I didn't always want to be in tattoos, but hey, people change." He gave the other a wink and then sat on the desk, watching him.

He looked like a cat in a room full of rocking chairs, nervous and completely on edge. "..You know, you can relax. It's not like I'm going to come after you with a tattoo gun."

"Ah, sorry. I didn't mean anything by...acting any sorta way. Just, I find it weird people would want to stab things into them. Don't people get sick that way?" Didn't they get infections and loose limbs? He always considered anything with needles to be risky, and he also thought hurting yourself didn't make sense. He already had enough scars to know they hurt and that he wished he didn't have them riddling his body.

"What did you want to do when you were a kid that made you want to save up in the first place if you didn't want to be a tattoo artist?" He asked, peeling off his coat and letting the water drip. He felt bad for getting the guy's floor wet.

Green eyes looked more amused as the kid talked. Honestly it was kind of refreshing to see how hesitant and skittish the kid was. God, calling a teenager a kid, he felt so old. "Considering the fact I use new needles with each tattoo and I keep the place spotless so I don't get my license taken away and my shop shut down? I've never had anyone complain about being sick afterwards. Some might feel queasy during because of the blood, but.. I stop, let them take a breather and continue on." Kor grinned a little and pushed his hands between his knees, leaning forward at the question.

"...Uh, as a kid all I wanted was.. to be free. Foster care and what not, you know? So I ran away, joined a gang and got into tattooing once I saw how much money was made off of it. But then I saw how pretty tattoos could be, how meaningful. You meet the most interesting people in this job. I honestly couldn't see myself doing anything else." Kor's eyes lit up as he talked and he got the widest smile on his face. "I've inked people of all ages, shapes, and sizes. Last week I had an old man come in here wanting a touch up on one of his tattoos. Pretty badass man. Marine or something."

Then the kid was peeling off his coat and Kor went to grab it for him, grinning. His floor was tile so it was honestly easy to dry and clean up. "I got a dryer in the back. Wanna toss your clothes there? Well, shirt and coat, anyway. I don't have any extra pants, but.. I got another towel?"

Edit: OMG I just noticed I spelled his name wrong. Sorry. On my phone.

"You bleed that much?!" Why would you get a tattoo if you gushed blood and passed out?!! Tattoos were becoming less and less cool to the teen and more an act of an insane person. Then again, a lot of pretty girls had tattoos. Then again, they probably were secretly crazy too!

Khor was not being out in a good light as Ladon found out he was in a gang. Gangs to him were the assholes in his neighborhood that caused problems, and he was starting to have a poor opinion of the guy despite him helping Ladon out of the rain.

At the offer to take off his shirt and coat, he tensed up. While he knew Khor might not have ill intentions, he was still a stranger. A stranger who might not understand that under Ladon's shirt were scars and burn wounds. He didn't want this guy calling the cops as if his parents abused him or something. Then again, if all else failed, he could kick him and run. That or visit him as Wolframite once he went to the bathroom.

Thing was, he really didn't want to get sick. If he did, Billy would be worried and that always made him feel guilty.

"O..Kay." He pulled out his phone and apartment keys from his jacket, the. Took it off. Then, pausing just a moment, he took off his shirt. Being damp, he was instantly cold without the soggy clothes, but held them out all the same. Scars dotted his body, along with a burn mark that went from his shoulder up to his neck and ending at his ear. "May I have that towel now?" He said, feeling cold and even more vulnerable than before.

"No! No, no, no.. Most don't even realize they are bleeding until I mention something, so I try not to. But some see the rag I swipe the area in to get a better look at what I'm doing and know the red isn't from the tattoo. Some just have to see blood on anything and want to feel sick. However, I've seen grown men pass out while I'm tattooing their ribs or spine because those are two of the most painful places to get tattoos." Kor's green eyes had a twinkle to them as he talked and the grin on his lips had gotten even wider, making them look impossible to fit on his face. Kor McKneil had a very weird face structure.

Kor joining a gang was inevitable. They were there when no one else in his life was and they'd become family to him. He wouldn't defend any other gang other than the one that he'd joined and eventually ran. Seemed like Kor was just hitting wrong buttons with this kid.

Then the kid tensed and Kor sighed. When he was about to protest that the other could keep the shirt and jacket on, off it came. The taller one moved forward and gathered the clothes up before blinking at the scars. "Seems you've seen your fair share of the nasty side of life." Prying? Oh he wanted to, but not everyone wanted to talk about their scars. He'd met many like that in his line of work. He walked to the back room for a minute, putting the clothes in the dryer and came back with another towel for him. "Here," he said as he stepped around the corner, tossing it to him. "In case you get too cold.
