Heard of it but don't really want to get involved. If I somehow already had bitcoins I'd be trying to cash them out right now. One bitcoin was topping $1000 USD as of last week.
Mining bitcoins is no longer a poor man's game as mining rigs were going for around $1M at one point recently. The only real option is to build your own rig and then good luck competing with the current machines.
In short, if you got in on the ground floor then bitcoins are the bee's knees. However, I think it's only a matter of time before the regulators shut it down or ruin what makes it useful.
