Hey, Just thought I would give my two cents at this point.
Rabid's work out most of the guilds imagery and questing opportunity right now. The classes were more like job descriptions, well that's how I took them anyway, I suppose if your RPC was a mechanic or something like that, they could just have some prior knowledge and stuff without having to make it a class. If you can wait a little bit I'm sure the guild will be fleshed out a lot more.

If you can wait a little bit I'm sure the guild will be fleshed out a lot more. I would like the mere simplicity of just that, the stats and number crunch is optional feature to add anyway. I just find that 'wanderer' is just too much an ambiguous term to identify a character's profession though am sure most use it by default simply to say 'I'm not a bandit!'

Look, the guild is only "technically" four days old. I appreciate you wanting to help, but I haven't finished working out all the bugs yet. I already have characters people can just kill, they're the bandits. I created them so that if someone's character is stuck, they can play a bandit if they really want to and attack other characters; also, because their starting health is a lot lower than the actual character, they are used to collect items for people's inventory and go out on missions. I'm working on adding more NPC, since we only have 5, but I've already put a lot of work into this guild and it's still not complete. I might add cannibals when I get the chance, but right now I need to get everything set up. As for the classes, it's just what you do as a profession. Most people, as it says on the main page, are in fact wanderers. I don't want any classes to get special treatment, I've based this guild off of Fallout and The Book of Eli. We can have a bunch of wanderers, that honestly doesn't bother me. There are some people who go out of the box, such as DarkBlaven, who made his character a messenger. Please understand, this kind of stuff takes a lot of time and effort and I appretiate your suggestions, but I'm not finished working out the bugs.

To eliminate any confusion: don't go by the actual established date, that would be when I started it, I only handed the guild over to Rabid last week, give it some time to grow. wink

I'm thinking of establishing a 'smith-like' character, or if someone else can do that, be my guest, I just hope s/he doesn't become a 2-D stereotype that has little to lack of a personality.
Reason? Well think of it as expanding creativity and a market. Food, water and occasional weapons are nice but there's more to life than survival (especially when people start to miss comforts of the old world)

If you want to have someone that does metal work you can do so if you want. Would help out my guy, he mostly fixes things.

You have tons of potential! Keep going, Girl smile

Unfortunately, Rabid has told me someone was already working on a repair man (must be you? lol). I had also asked if I could get a warehouse a special device called a 'recycler' (I think she mistook the 'magical' idea literally than metaphorically) that helps with a bit more outsourcing for material but both were turned down so no go. I could probably make an assistant helping your character but that's about it. P.S. If anyone is curious about where I got the inspiration for such ideas, I invite you try playing Last Stand: Deadzone, or just check out it's wikipedia via google, Yeah it's a Zombie Apocalypse theme'd game but take out the zombies and you pretty much get what Wasteland theme is like.

I honestly wouldn't mind if you really wanted to, he can do some if needed but he's mostly just like a repair engineer I guess. Doing metal work and other stuff would involve actually doing it so having a blacksmith might be useful ninja
