Name: Isaiah Rhys Augerinos
Nickname: Luci (don't ask). Sometimes answers to Rhys, or Auger.
Age: 26
Birthday: January 5th
Sign: Capricornhole.
Gemstone: Garnet
Blood Type: O-
Fav. Food: Ambrosia.
Hated Food: Soda of any kind or carbonated drinks.
School: Recently graduated DCU with a degree in architecture. However, his job is selling life insurance.
Hobbies: Tarot Reading - Luci never charges for this, though donations are welcome. His deck is of the Thoth tarot, and he knows a variety of spreads to go along with it. These are typically rainy day activities, enjoyed with good company alongside a cup of hot coffee to warm the bones. He doesn't often disclose his opinion on tarot, and when solicited he'll likely only smile and sip his coffee without breaking eye contact. Isaiah will only offer to do readings to people who express an interest in the supernatural or occult, and almost always chronicles the results in a notepad kept with the deck. On request he will use a Rider-Waite deck, but he's not a fan of the illustrations and finds the Thoth deck a little more true to his tastes.
Journaling - Apart from jotting down Tarot results, Isaiah uses journaling as a means to keep track of people. Clientele, restaurants, birthdays or even random facts collected along the way are chronicled in his vast array of leather-bound black journals, and are then labeled for their subject matter and shelved on one of many bookcases.Typically he will not take notes in public places unless it's an emergency, as he's rather protective of the accumulated thoughts. However, he possesses a few ambiguously-named journals with equally puzzling subject matter... These are hidden separate from the rest, and are red rather than the typical black. Occasionally Isaiah will bring some of these journals with him in public and reference them as needed.
Giving Cypher a Ride - Isaiah owns an ornery, dusty old cat by the name of Cypher - and this cat has a few strange quirks that disqualify him as a normal feline. Cyper enjoys riding on the shoulders of his owner, where he will begrudgingly allow Isaiah to hold onto his paws, and watch his surroundings pass by on the shoulders of his owner. Isaiah often uses his cat's incessant needs for outdoor escapades to explore his surroundings and discover new shops or other potentially interesting locations in the company of his only pet. And since Cypher easily accepts love and devotion from strangers, allowing the cat to hitch a ride provides an excellent opportunity to meet other people (and most ask if the cat is, indeed, real).
Designing Churches - As a testament to human construction for thousands of years, Isaiah is fascinated with designing fantasy churches in his spare time. It requires quite a bit of research - from visiting various churches around the world and photographing them in great detail to the meticulous planning of flying buttresses and finding a means to parallel the construction of the church to the ideals for the religion it represents - but he finds it an excellent time sink. He has framed blueprints to a variety he has designed, along with copious amounts of the photos he'd taken from previous excursions. Thus, Isaiah is easily spotted at various religious locations, often times with a camera in one hand and a notebook in the other.
Virtues: Decisive -- Luci does not flounder with choices. When presented with a multitude of different options, he takes stock of their potential benefits and drawbacks and makes his decision in due time. He does not make said choices lightly, either - deciding on his morning coffee receives as much consideration as the type of coffin for a death in the family. Because of this, Isaiah is easily relied upon in situations where a difficult scenario comes to a head, and tough choices stand in the way of progress. This doesn't mean that he always makes the
right decision, but he typically always makes a decision. Often times those decisions are even chronicled in his journals for later reference.
Wise -- Surprisingly, he acts far older than his age. It's unclear if his wisdom stems from a life of difficult circumstances or a plethora of novels read and meticulously filed away, but Luci almost always has a proverb or interestingly deep observation to make about current circumstances. Most of these relate to the benefit of the human spirit, or some other means of emotional or spiritual growth, but he has a few cautionary words of wisdom up his sleeve as well. Though his proverbs are not widely shared, as he finds that some are cliche or sometimes less effective when spoken word for word, but when the situation calls for a little more mental development, Isaiah is the one to seek.
Bold -- When Luci makes tough decisions, he'll often call upon some serious cojones to do so. He is not one to shy away from circumstances that involve bodily injury or stepping on toes - as such, if he finds it in his interest to chastise a popular peer, he will do so without fear of backlash from their profusion of friends. In the past, he dressed in a manner that set him apart from the crowd, or took part in hobbies far different and potentially laughable. He doesn't hesitate in contacting or reaching out to others, or saying no to a stipulation that he doesn't agree with. His words aren't loaded, either - if Isaiah tells someone he can perform the requested task, he will do so.
Flaws: Overbearing -- Without fully realizing it, Isaiah often suppresses other people with his almost dictatorial approach to relationships. If one does not assert themselves, he will make all the calls in the friendship without soliciting the other person's opinion. If confronted about this, he won't see a problem with his approach - if someone else wanted to go to a movie rather than take a walk in the park, they should say so. As a result, shy individuals are often neglected when in contact with him, as he will rule the relationship unchecked. Those with a strong enough personality to object to him are able to keep this glaring flaw in check, though it takes constant work to do it.
Austere -- All work and no play makes Isaiah a dull boy - plainly speaking, Isaiah doesn't know how to have fun. He can't let loose like others, or partake in ludicrous activities (which he probably regards as beneath him). He's simply too old for his own age - where others might see fun in a night of clubbing or perusing the town at night, he finds it woefully pointless and wholly boring. Others view him as a stuffed shirt sometimes because of this - he may stubbornly refuse to go to a bar with someone, or visit a casino, simply because it doesn't appeal to him. He doesn't like to laugh, strangely, because he finds it too unprofessional. Thus far, no one has successfully brought out a playful side in Isaiah, and he is perfectly content with that.
Overreaching -- In his mind, no one is above Isaiah. One could found religions on Isaiah. There is nothing in the word Isaiah cannot do if he has the will and interest to do it. He puts too much faith in himself and his abilities, and that shows in his social endeavors by way of arrogance rather than confidence. And that pride will occasionally lead to losing situations, where Isaiah overextends his abilities and tasks undertaken end in disaster. If Isaiah agrees to come up with an excellent bicycle design, said design might end up botched because he put too much faith in his spatial thinking and knew too little about the needs of a bicycle to create a working concept. More often than not, he'll even brush off ensuing criticism by asserting that he did, in fact, accomplish the requested task.
