Silence filled Kioda's ears broken once in a while by the beat of her wings. She had found a new hiding place on Eowyn, to store her mass of orbs and had left to search out more dragons to kill. It was becoming a waste of time hunting Kiandri or even Firani dragons at this point. They fell by her claws at too quick of a pace. Interestingly enough her visit to the female Hybrids home had given her little help either. It had recently been emptied of all the special orbs held in the glass case in the main room. Practically an empty nest now, the way it stood bare in the desert.
Flaring her nostrils with each breath Kioda enjoyed the thrill of the flight. The sun on her back felt amazing the way the heat seeped into her sore muscles. Barrel rolling to the left Kioda was sure she had seen something move in the distance.
Food!
Pulling her wings against her body the Ysali Drakein moved from her smooth flight into a steep dive towards the sand. Meat was harder to come across here than in Serenia or Soudul but she didn't mind. It still had more moisture in it than most of the rodents she had been living off of on Ayr.
As her shadow passed over the creature, giving way she was coming for it. The thrill of the chase ignited in the Drakein. Opening her jaws Kioda landed in the sand. Tossing it up in waves around her. Catching a mouthful of gritty rocks and no food Kioda's teal eyes snapped to find the creature. Coughing out the sand Kioda's hind quarters wiggled before she took her first leap towards the food. Her teeth sinking into the flesh as warm metallic liquid splashed over her tongue. Wetting her mouth as she drank the blood, reviling in the meat that dangled from her maw.
Curling up where she stood Kioda purred. Munching on the first limb that entered her mouth. Her wings tucked tight up against her body, tail wrapped protectively around herself.

The firani drakein had his eyes narrowed as he lay in the only bit of shade he could find in this blasted desert. Though being what he was heat didn't bother him, it was more the endless thirst he and little to hunt that caused him to conserve his energy. Dapyhir had been on an endless search for a rather troublesome young girl who's travel patterns made little sense. To him it seemed as if she was wondering around aimlessly, allowing the hot wind to guide her movements. It was baffling, as it was her supplies must be running out soon so was she just trying to seek her death out here?
Licking his lips, his narrowed eyes glimpsed up to notice the familiar shape flying overhead. Gaze trailing after it his head now turned in the direction of where the drakein had landed. The wind was blowing gently, but even the small drift was able to waft the scent of blood in the air. A fresh kill. The other was probably hunting this barren waste land and found something. Turning his head he stretched his long neck before clambering into a standing position. Perhaps if this drakein lived in the area he could inquire about Tilawen's whereabouts. Maybe they had seen this strange hybrid that seemed to have a death wish.
The drakein had a habit of preening himself before meeting with other drakein, he liked to look his best and if was some guilty part of him that wanted to show himself off even if it ended up being for an enemy. Following the scent of blood it wasn't too hard to locate the drakein and he felt his own hunger peak at the sight of fresh meat and blood.
"Seems like a positively radiant day for a hunt." He commented idly as he sat down several feet away, good distance from snapping or lunging distance.

Kioda's teal eyes rolled aimlessly towards the sound of someone speaking. Her jaw crunching down and snapping another bone. The taste of marrow coursed over her tongue. Narrowing on the strange unfamiliar Drakein. Chewing on the leg for a moment, Kioda let the silence fill the air. She wasn't sure if speaking to this one was a good idea. To many Drakein were bonded, and liked to strike a conversation with her before the two legger appeared behind some corner.
Letting the dead carcass fall to the sand Kioda licked the length of her maw. A part of her muzzle pulled up and away from her teeth. A simple and very subtle way of showing she wasn't afraid to bare arms against the unknown Drakein. Tightening her claws on her kill, Kioda summoned her magic. Calling the vines to wrap themselves around her meal as she shifted to sit on her haunches.
"The sun does have it's moments." Kioda agreed, "that can't possibly be what brought you here. Is there a slave driver with you? One of those two legged beasts or filthy birds?" Kioda asked her question with teal eyes flashing past Dapyhir. Lifting her paw she ran her tongue over her scales. Cleaning the blood from her hide, narrowing her gaze on the Drakein again.
"I'm not sharing."
