(Note: This ties into his current plot where he travels to Jauhar to talk to Yaholo.)
It was quiet the night after Rastian had been "birdnapped" by a certain Scorra, who was still very keen on following him around. While he still didn't appreciate the animal's presence, Echowen had taken a liking to it and chattered endlessly if Rastian wanted him away from the bird for more than five minutes. It was clear that he wasn't going to get this bird to leave him alone, no matter what he tried.
He knew he was still quite far from Jauhar, which really bothered him, he wanted to get to Yaholo quickly so he could tell him the news about Oulixes! However, time didn't seem to be on his side, nor did fate. He sighed as the fire crackled and the Scorra settled next to him, before slipping into a deep sleep.
While Rastian drifted off to sleep, an Aldabuck crept close to the group, drawn in by the fire. It meandered about, kicked some dirt, and leaned over Rastian's head to munch on his hair tie.
"Mmm...?" Rastian grumbled, turning his head to gaze up at the creature. What the... What was that thing? It was too fuzzy to make out... He sat up once more and gave it a puzzled look, before his eyes were suddenly covered by his tumbling hair. He blinked, ran his fingers through his hair, and glared at the Aldabuck.
"YOU JUST ATE MY HAIR TIE, DIDN'T YOU, YOU STUPID ANIMAL?!" He screamed, lunging for the Aldabuck. "I've had it to here with you beasts! Get over here!"
But Rastian was far too slow for the speed of the Aldabuck, and landed face first in the sand. However, the Aldabuck hadn't split the scene entirely, and wandered back over to lay next to Rastian. It appeared concerned, or at the very least intrigued with the man. Or, maybe it wanted to see if he had any more delicious hair ties to eat.
