GUILDS INACTIVITY: GAIA'S FAULT OR OURS?
Talks of guilds turning into ghost towns or withering away into nothingness have been constant in its members (for those who even bother to post that is) and while some would be ready to point out fingers at the current administration of the site and its recent runnings and activities, we have yet to wonder what could be the other causes for the rapid fallout of members not just in guilds, but in the Gaia community as a whole.
Yes, we cannot ignore the fact that the ridiculous inflation in the marketplace, the shoving and endless forceful propaganda of Cash Shop Items and Sales, and much needed updates in sectors of the site like Guilds, Towns, and what-not that are continually ignored, have made people's goals of acquiring their dream avi nothing more than a mere fantasy, made people frustrated at being looked at as wallets and not people, and people altogether just giving up hope in getting a better Gaia, or having a Gaia that they once knew and loved. Hence the fallout, hence the leaving of some, if not many, Gaians that have made this site part of their own little world once.
What is the reason to stay with all this s**t happening after all?
*pause*
And here is where another question rises.
What about the community? Isn't it enough reason to stay? Upon reading various and lots of thread as of late, people have been leaving left and right, and while the factor of current site issues have forced their hand at abandoning their account, another factor had been... "the guilds... the CB... the community... wasn't what it used to be." Whatever happened to the community? Whatever happened to us?
Have you ever wondered looking back at the guilds we were or are still in, back during its glory days, and what were the reasons why we loved being in them? Was it the people, the quirkiness, the uniqueness in each guild, making us feel at home and belong? Whatever happened to that? What happened to the drive of making guilds that little home where people can be themselves, and not just be another place to just slap on events in hopes that people will drop by and do something magical for the guild, and activity will be in full swing like it used to be back in the hey-day? So a few key people left, whatever happened to the ones that stayed? Are we nothing more but ghosts of that guild's awesome past? Whatever happened to living it up, and passing on the great home we've experienced to the future generation?
With the numbers in the community slowly dwindling, there are still a few of us that still hold on to that hope, that small hope that Gaia will return the way it was, or get better, that guilds will become once again those awesome places where we'd make great memories with great people. So let's huddle closer, find a way to get-together and try, at least, to bring a piece of our guild's great past back into the present. We're the only ones who can do something about it, since we're the ones that are here.

CATCHING FIRE: BURNS WITH MANY FEELS crying (For those who have not watched the movie, there will be spoilers. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED, don't say I didn't say s**t.)
For someone who has difficulty shedding tears, this movie, has definitely made me a tearjerker three times. THREE TIMES! I was warned before watching this with my buddies that day, that there will be many feels in this movies. And there are, I s**t you not. Where to start? Well, for one, the first tour speech at District 11 (which was Rue's District) it was an emotional moment, what with Katniss recalling her experience in the Games with Rue, and to add on to the injury some humble old liver-spotted man had to get SHOT IN THE ******** HEAD! HOW COULD THEY BE SO ******** HEARTLESS?!?!?! (Okay, I know it sounds more morbid than sad but for those who watched it they know what they felt at that time.) I'm not going to add on more for reasons that I'd rather you experience the feels themselves, I remember leaving the theater with my heart feeling so heavy I thought I'd be sucked in a blackhole or something. Never has a film tapped into the human soul and squeezed it and made known its emotions! The ending might've been a cliffhanger, but I'm definitely looking forward to the two-parts movie of this awesome series finale: The Mockingjay. HAPPY 50TH ANNIVERSARY DOCTOR WHO! Celebrating 50 years of its awesome British influence in television airwaves, a special premiere was aired last November 23rd, pleasing and exciting many of its fans that have been waiting for months for its release. Mixing science fiction with a fair amount of whimsy and wit, along with the ingenious conceit that his alien form can regenerate into a new body—and with it, a new persona —the Doctor has demonstrated a pop culture longevity (and continuity) matched only by fellow Brit icon James Bond. For all you Doctor Who fans, 'The Day Of The Doctor' is a definite watch, it won't disappoint! A PUYATERS' OPINION ON WHY YOU SHOULD WATCH SLEEPY HOLLOW (TV SERIES)Contributor: Ria_The_Wolf12
"The reason I like Sleepy Hollow is because while the plot is obviously fantasy, the characters are relatable. Abby has skeletons in the closet she's doing her best to get over while living her life. Ichabod, while in an ENTIRELY new place, is still his own sassy self. To accompany that, there's a perfect amount of emotional moments and funny moments, as well as intense situations and scenes. They're creative so far with their monsters, even though they've been common things like witches and demons, though the sandman and sin-eater were nice touches. All around I think it's interesting, for both fans of the original and people who may have found the original too boring. It always leaves me feeling like I can't wait a whole week for the next episode! I highly recommend anyone try it!"

FEATURED GUILD! WORLD OF DARKNESS: SECRETS OF THE SHADOW!So Puyaters Anonymous got a chance to have a bit of Q&A with WOD:SOTS's Captain Wraith1993 about his new RP guild! A bit about the captain behind the World of Darkness: He's been on Gaia since July 2009, preferences of RPs are usually in fantasy. As for video games, fantasy RPGs, but he plays a decent spread like action adventure, some fighters, a few hack and slash, and a shooter or two. And he is a Puyater! A nocturnal creature, as he tends to go to sleep in the early am hours.
Now for the questions!
Q.1. How did you come up with the concept of World of Darkness: Secrets of the Shadow? And the name?
A.1. That one's easy. I based it off White Wolf's "the World of Darkness" tabletop RPG. I've always had an interest in it once I found it but never was able to play it until I convinced my friends to give it a shot. We had some fun with it but due to life have been unable to get together which inspired me to finally go ahead and actually make this guild which I had been mulling over for a long while. As for the "Secrets of the Shadow" bit, it's a nice summary of the setting and thought it was a nice subtitle.
Q.2. When did you first start up the guild? Who were the key people involved in the development of the plotline, and the guild?
A.2. Well, like it says on the guild home page I started it early in September with just two other members who were familiar with the game. They helped where they could, mostly with feedback as I tried to balance freedom and fun with, well, balance and fairness while still holding the core concept intact. I learned pretty quick that I followed the saying "if you want it done right, do it yourself" more than I thought I would since I did virtually everything in the guild. So I do most of the work since I tend not to require anything of my Crew in terms of work. I've never been a Captain so I'm not really comfortable ordering people to work, and like I said I prefer to do it myself so I can get it just right. But I always seek feedback where I can to refine and fix anything that could be made better.
Q.3. What makes your RP guild different from the others?
A.3. Well, I haven't been in too many RPs lately, but when I did I don't recall seeing many where the Captain or Crew took direct control of NPC story elements to ensure no characters was locked out with nothing to do or to drop some action into a dull thread. It also helps to coax up a story be it big or small. Like the Doctor I introduced who seems to kill people in the strange name of "Equilibrium" and may also harbor a darker secret. Or the Creature I unleashed before who eats men whole and whose skin mops up the blood, which bears the mysterious number 42 on it's shoulder. That and my fairly defined but still variable set character options, not including any the players may think up so long as they're fair and so on.
Q.4. What's the plotline or arc of your RP? Describe the world and creatures involved in the RP.
A.4. Now that would be telling. Some may not like a secret plot, but without a big story looming over your head I think there's some more freedom, especially given the multiple smaller stories I can throw out to players that they may like more than some meta plot. As for the world and creatures therein, it was easy to set since it's based on the World of Darkness. Vampires, Mages, Werewolves, Changelings, Hunters, and various minor options like Psychics, Cultists who worship alien gods, Blood Bathers, and the Possessed. The major ones have their own stories, origin theories and specific enemies, but that doesn't mean you don't get some crossover. The minors don't get that, but they get some more freedom as a result I think. I had to make some changes though, Vampires can't be harmed by the sun as it would be highly detrimental to players and implementing a day/night cycle would be near impossible.
Q.5. What are your plans for the guild in the future?
A.5. Future plans are a bit vague at the moment, I have ideas but not much set in stone. I'm more focused on getting and keeping everything moving right now. Only a small number of the guild are active so that's something I'd like to address before much else. But there are some things I may do. I didn't include all the character options the game presents due to a perceived lack of interest or a narrow character focus. And on the off chance the Guild actually grows to massive size I could open up new cities to spread the concentration out. Tied to that is positions and titles in the city. Like the Vampire Prince or the Mage Hierarch and such. Hopefully with more active players I could let some trustworthy ones take the positions of power which could by itself cause some inter player plots when I start using NPCs of one group to mess with the other. Might be fun to start a player war in the shadows while my darker secrets wait on the deeper shadows with grins of evil.
Interested in joining his RP Guild? Hop on over to World Of Darkness: Secrets of the Shadow and join in on the action!

FEATURED PUYATER MEMBER OF THE MONTH! RAI BRIAN KATAGIZTA The Life Of a Visually Impaired College Student Contributor: Rai Brian Katagizta
Baggy pants, high-cut bulky rubber shoes, cool shirts with a matching black shades and a fancy hairstyle of black and white natural hair color; this is the look of a 20-year old guy from Davao City, Philippines. He is currently in 3rd year BS in Psychology course and guess what… he’s a totally blind person. Yupz, you’ve read it right! Believe it or not, he is a visually impaired/totally blind person and is now in 3rd year college. He is “Rai Brian Katagizta” in Gaiaonline; Angelo Brian Peliño in real life: a member of the Puyaters Anonymous guild under Captain The Dark Closet Rebellion.
Brian or Rai is a simple boy who was sighted when born but became blind due to two separate accidents that he met along his life. He was born with sensitive eyeballs, (though he could still see through the use of eyeglasses when he was just a child), but when he was in the fourth grade last March 2003, one of his classmates accidentally poked his left eye with a finger while playing causing him to be blind. And on August 21, 2005, his 2-year old younger brother punched his right eye, transforming his world totally into black. Additionally, due to successive eye surgeries, his ears soon got affected causing him to become hearing impaired too (causing him to use a hearing aid to hear the world better). He was 12 years old then and is in first year high school but he needed to quit schooling after what had happened.
Almost a year had passed, May 2006, a non-government organization (Resources for the Blind Inc., RBI), visited their house for the first time. This organization caters the needs of visually impaired people to go on with their lives despite their disabilities, and helped Rai to go back to school on June 2006. Undergoing Braille training (Braille is the system which blind people use for them to read and write) in one year, Rai was able to go back to first year high school in June of 2007 and continued studying to the point where he is now.
“What did you feel when you become blind? Isn’t it difficult to live especially in school?” a question which other people often asked to our protagonist. With these questions, Rai always answer in this way,
“I feel thankful. Before when I could still see, I see the world often going bad against me. Many schoolmates often bullies and make fun of me, they often take my snacks and my small daily allowance. I’m that kind of student before which is always only sitting at the side, no one really cares, can’t point who can I call my real friends… adding the fact that I’m not really good in academics. No talent that I know in me... not mentioning my super clumsy personality then.”
Then Rai always added, “But when I become blind, everything had changed. I realized that if I would just allow other people to pin me down, I would end up being a beggar sitting at the side of the streets, holding a rusty tin can and waiting for coins to be dropped from heaven. That I would not allow! That’s why I continued in my new life with the new me; a more strong-willed and courageous me.”
Also, he had mentioned that he didn’t find any talents in him when he could still see but, when he become blind, his talents in writing Tagalog or Filipino poems and English short articles bloomed; and especially, his most beloved talent: his talent in Rapping. Before, he is always at the side of the class without any way to notice him. Now, he is an aspiring Christian Rapping Artist who could perform on stage and dreamed to follow the step of a famous RAP icon in the Philippines: Gloc-9.
“I was really over-whelmed when I first managed to perform on stage. People were calling my name, they were appreciating my rapping and I met many friends because of it. Also, because of my blindness, I saw who are the people that I could consider as my real friends. Now, with every ten performances that I’ve done, I only have a single successful performance. Why? Because of my hearing impairment. Can’t hear the sound system clearly you know hehehe… But this can’t stop me to continue dreaming to be successful in this field where I am now.”
Let’s go to another side of the life of this folk… a brief summary of his touching love story; of course, as a blind guy.
Rai met a girl when he was just in third grade; his classmate. But because he had a pin-down personality when he was in elementary, he was too ashamed to go near his crush who is a girl who comes from a wealthy family. A girl who was a top student, a very beautiful young girl, and has a very wonderful singing voice. Now, believe it or not, because of his said to be stupidity (according to Rai himself), he haven’t talked to the girl for more than a minute for the four years that they were in the same school. And after the elementary graduation, he hasn’t heard of about that girl again.
When he became blind, Rai thought back to his childhood crush.
“Before that I could still see, I can’t even go near her. Now that I’m blind… what would I have to show her…?”
Due to this thought, an idea suddenly rushed in his mind: “If my beloved was in the world of music, I’ll try to go in.” But because our friend has a not-so-good singing voice, he landed on the world of rapping. And that’s how he found a big part of his personality: his personality as a rapper, as a writer, and as a Filipino poet; all because of his Princess.
When Rai had reached third year high school, he started to find ways to communicate with his beloved princess with the help of his friends through friendster and facebook (because he doesn’t know how to use social media at that time yet). But, after a million poems and letters that he sent to his princess, not a single reply he had received. And after a year of trying hard to communicate, last 2011, after five years of stupidity (according to him) he found out that the girl whom he loved dearly for the past years, the one who is his inspiration for his ambitions; is now engaged with another man.
Because of that fact he had discovered, he stopped writing and rapping for several months. But with the help of our Lord Jesus Christ, he came back now, not as a love rap artist but as a certified Christian Rap Artist; creating and rapping for the Lord, the one who never failed in his life.
Is life as a blind difficult? With him, of course yes, it is. Not only difficult but, very difficult. But with the help of his parents, family, friends, all the people around him and of course to the Almighty One, everything for him are just a part of life and he needs to face it.
Now there he is, going on in school, continue using his writing and rapping skills and going through to his goals.
From Rai Brian Katagizta: “Respect limitations of each individual. But never close your sight on WHAT YOU THINK their limitations are.”
========================================
How Rai Brian Katagizta got his gaia user name?
A few years ago, he uses “RaiZero” as his rap name. But when he found out that somebody was already using it in the Philippines, he changed it to RaiKatagizta (a rap name which is still unstable). Rai is a nickname from Brian which is sometimes used by his friends to him; a nickname which he found out means “thunder or lightning, and thrust” in Japanese language and “to state an opinion” in Algerian. He was impressed by the meaning lightning because his idol, Gloc-9, was a well-known fast flow rapper in their country. Additionally, because of his philosophical attitude, Rai which means to state an opinion is a perfect name for him. “Katagizta” came from the word “Kataga” which means “word” in Filipino language together with “salita”. Katagizta was formed by Rai like the concept of forming the words “pianist”, (pianista in Filipino) which means an expert in using piano or somebody using piano, guitarist or guitaress, (gitarista in Filipino) which means somebody who is expert ind using guitars; Katagizta means and expert or somebody using Filipino words, synonym to the Filipino word “Makata” which means a Filipino poet.
THE MILLION DOLLAR QUESTION:
"How could he use computers?! How could he use facebook?! And gaia?! IT’S TOTALLY IMPOSSIBLE!!!"
With the fast development of our technology today, screen reading softwares like Job Access With Speech (JAWS) and Non-Visual Desktop Access (NVDA) were created. These screen reading softwares enables the computer to literally “talk” to voice out what is on the screen for the visually impaired person to use.
Do blind persons memorize the interface of the computer keyboard? Yes they do. But not by as quick as one-two-three… with the help of organizations for the blind like the Resources for the Blind Inc., RBI (which was mentioned in the story of Rai), visually impaired people was granted a chance to undergo various life trainings, like school and job trainings; including computer trainings.
You may also research more about these facts on google or see a blind person using computers, playing blind chess or even playing tennis on youtube.
Still curious about their life? Don’t worry guyz… Rai said he is more than happy to share to you facts about their life system. Or, for easier communication on his side, (he is still working out to use the gaia as of now), you can add him up on facebook. You may search his name: Rai Brian Peliño (RaiKatagizta) or his email add: raizero.katagizta@gmail.com or finally, you can ask our captain, Dark Closet Rebellion, for a link to his account. Just tell him that you are a Puyaters guild member for him to recognize you smile
P.S.: He is praying for a new princess as of now… cute chikz… very much welcome heheeheh… smile
Finally, he said: “I still can’t maximize my effort in gaia as of now because I’m still not used to this site and still finding ways to make this site accessible to my screen reader. But don’t worry because I’m working it out. Just catch me if I’ll try to comment, participate in forums or post on the guild. Hope to know you more guyzzzz…”
========================================
Special thankz to: Our Captain, The Dark Closet Rebellion who is a classmate of Rai in a subject and on the same course, and is a close friend of him for inviting him to join the Gaiaonline and the Puyaters Guild.

Artwork Name: "What-should-have-been-the-October-issue-cover" By: The Dark Closet Rebellion FEATURED WRITTEN WORK!By:Rampaging Dino, From The Circus Writing Contest Last August 2013 Quote: “You’re not actually afraid of going into the old carnival at night, are you, Avery?” taunted one of the two boys who stood outside the abandoned carnival grounds. “Of course not, Darren!” Avery quickly retorted. “I just think it might have been a bad idea to come here at night. There could be murderers hiding in there, too.” Darren laughed loudly at that. “Stupid! How are we supposed to see the ghosts that are rumored to be here if we don’t come at night?” Both boys paused to look at the abandoned carnival grounds. It truly was a creepy looking place. There were still a few lights that lit up the place, supposedly so security guards could keep hooligans out of the area, but the city had decided a couple of months ago that they didn’t have the money to pay for guards. The lights themselves were also falling into disrepair, many of them flickering or broken altogether. Stalls that were once brightly painted now had the paint peeling off of them, revealing the pale grey wood below. Towering over the desolation like a beacon of destruction was a large ferris wheel; the cars hung crookedly off of rusting supports. It had been seven years since someone had died at this park and the city had shut it down, but the state of everything made it seem like it had been much longer. “Come on, scaredy cat. We’ve got ghosts to find!” Darren grabbed Avery’s arm and started dragging him to the chain link fence. It was easy enough to scale the fence, and a minute later, the two teenage boys stood inside the abandoned carnival. Avery shivered a little bit. It had been creepy outside the fence, but it was downright terrifying inside the fence. As they walked up and down the aisles, Avery could swear he could see things moving from the corners of his eyes. However, every time he turned his head to look, there was nothing there. Darren, on the other hand, was looking around eagerly, clearly hoping to see some spook peeking out from around a corner. They eventually stood in front of the ferris wheel with no ghosts having been spotted, much to Avery’s delight and Darren’s dismay. Up close, the wheel looked even worse than Avery had thought. He was actually surprised the city hadn’t torn it down; the structure looked like it could fall over at any moment. “You heard the story of how the woman died here, right?” Darren asked as they stared up at the rickety structure. Without giving Avery a chance to answer, Darren plowed on, “They say she was committing suicide by jumping out of the car, but a lot of people claim she was pushed by something…otherworldly. The people who saw the incident from other cars said she looked at something next to her with a terrified expression then suddenly jerked to the side and out the door where she plummeted to her death.” “Why would a spirit want to just randomly kill someone?” Avery mused aloud. “If you kids hang around long enough, you might just find out,” said a whispery voice from behind the two teens They whirled around to see where the voice came from. A deathly pale older man covered in bloodstains grinned at them. “It’s the ghost!” Darren screamed. Avery was already running for the front of the carnival, and Darren took off right behind him, both of them screaming the entire way. The old man stood there looking at the teens’ retreating backs, laughing. “That trick never gets old,” he chuckled, wiping his eyes. PUMALAKAKATS (RANTS)Codename: Gaia Cash or How Narumi Misuhara is gouging us! Rant: Have you noticed that absolutely nothing lately hasn't been said or done by the staff that doesn't revolve around Gaia Cash in some way? Well guess what people? EVERYTHING from here on out will revolve around Gaia Cash. We won't get anything done around here unless we pay for it and I mean with real money via Gaia Cash. Narumi Misuhara, who was "promoted" from the Engineering/Development staff to head of Projects said so himself. That's a fancy way of saying he decides what will and will not be worked on. He doesn't do any work on any of the projects himself anymore. His job is to make sure that anything that IS done MAKES MONEY FOR GAIA and he reports to the COO (one of the money people for Gaia inc). IF it doesn't make money, it doesn't get done. If it costs money, it won't even get a second look. Take Guilds 2.0- that's a prime example!
My question is, SINCE WHEN IS IT THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE USERS TO MAKE MONEY FOR GAIA? Why should WE be responsible for making money for Gaia Interactive? Why does everything we do have to be a money making endeavor? I come to Gaia to chat with friends, play games and have a good time. I don't come to Gaia to work for Gaia Interactive. I never signed anything agreeing to PAY TO PLAY?
If I want to DONATE to the cause, I will donate. Remember when we had DONATION ITEMS? That's what the "Monthly Collectibles" used to be called. We didn't have a Cash Shop. We could "Donate" $2.50/American Dollars and get our choice of 2 and sometimes 3 items for our avatar every month. Now, we buy Gaia Cash to spend in a Cash Shop, or in the Regular Shops, now called Gold Shops, which gives you an option, in many but not all cases, of using Gaia Cash to purchase items.
Now, it is going to be mandatory for us to PAY TO PLAY. Naruimi Misuhara stated in his latest journal entry for everyone to read that from now on, "This biggest change between then and now is that all projects going forward must earn their production cost." Here's what this means for us in guilds. Guilds get screwed again. For 7- count it- 7 long years, Guilds have not gotten a decent upgrade while the Forums have been getting regular, major upgrades. And the funny thing is, if the Guilds had been updated and upgraded at the same time, Guilds wouldn't be in the mess we are in now! But that's neither here not there. The PROBLEM is, THERE IS NO WAY FOR GUILDS TO MAKE MONEY. What are Guilds going to do? Guilds cannot buy Gaia Cash? Guilds cannot USE Gaia Cash. How can Guilds EARN THEIR PRODUCTION COST?
How in all that is holy and righteous does Narumi really expect Guilds to "earn their production cost"? His brilliant idea is for USERS to BUY GAIA CASH AND DESIGNATE IT FOR USE TO UPGRADE GUILDS. Here's the problem with that: 1.USERS CANNOT DESIGNATE HOW TO USE GAIA CASH WHEN IT IS PURCHASED!!! 2. WHO IS GOING TO PAY FOR THE PROGRAMMING AND MAKE IT COST EFFECTIVE TO MAKE IT VIABLE FOR US TO DO THAT ANYWAY?
If Gaia thinks user numbers have fallen over the years steadily before, wait and see what happens if they start pulling this kind of crap. We should not be expected to pay so we can use a properly working site. The site is supposed to work properly so that we can use it!
Now, if this isn't a sad enough state of affairs for Gaia, Narumi has let his staff come up with another money making scheme, a way to wheedle more of our hard earned money out of our pockets and line Gaia's coffers. WEDDINGS! That's right, the latest scheme is to allow Gaians to get MARRIED & DIVORCED on Gaia. Of course, this is going to be another way to FORCE US TO BUY GAIA CASH. Oh, we will have the OPTION of whether or not to do it, but it's the principle of the matter. Here's how it will work as I see it: 1. You pay Gaia Cash for Wedding Attire in either the Cash Shop or a New Cash Shop/Bridal Boutique 2.You pay Gaia Cash for a Marriage License/Divorce Papers, Officiant/Judge 3.You pay Gaia Cash for use of the "flash space" for ceremonies, receptions, etc 4. You pay for the privilege of having your "Mr/Mrs" under your name,WHICH IS ONLY GOOD IN THE FORUMS... That's right folks, it's a Forum based function.. Guilds are shut out of this again- at least until Guilds 2.0 happen.
All this boils down to this: Gaia is not going to do a blasted thing unless WE pay our hard-earned, or our parents' hard-earned money for it. The days of coming to Gaia and playing for free are gone. No more announcements to tell us of how wonderful it is for a new enhancement that is being brought to us. No, now it's all about Gaia Cash, Cash Shop and how much it's going to cost you if you want anything done here on Gaia. Better start saving all that money Grandma and Grandpa send you for your birthday kids. Take a second mortgage on your home if you want Guilds 2.0 to ever get done before the next millenium all you faithful Guild members. If you thought your wedding in real life was expensive, cash in those Savings Bonds or CD's at the bank if you want one here on Gaia! Oh, and games, I suggest you go to Facebook where you can still play many of them FOR FREE, I do. I haven't paid a penny there in all the years I have been on Facebook and those games are better and more plentiful than Gaia's!
Here's another problem with using Gaia Cash for anything. Narumi admitted that any funds that come into Gaia via Gaia Cash go toward ADMINISTRATIVE COSTS FIRST. Excuse me? Administrative costs first? Hell no! If I am buying Gaia Cash and earmarking it for a specific project, I damned well better have each and every penny going to the developer to be working on THAT project. I don't care if the COO, the electric company, the water company or anything else gets paid. I am paying for Guilds 2.0 to be worked on, for specific developer/s to be working on that project. You find another way to get the other stuff taken care of from someone else's Gaia Cash. As it is, too much of our money goes to ADMINISTRATIVE COSTS and very little goes to "projects". I know there is overhead, but they need to find other ways to cover "overhead".
This has got to be one of the most poorly run companies I know of if there is no marketing department. If there is a marketing department, why in all that is good and holy can those people not go out and earn money for the site in advertising funds? I know little children that can do a better job at doing that running lemonade stands than the so-called professionals running Gaia in San Diego. And, please, don't tell me that mobile apps are taking all your advertising/sponsorships away. Any GOOD/DECENT marketing people can find advertisers in the kind of market that caters to Gaians. And you cannot tell me that a certain Anime company that used to be a sponsor here ran to mobile apps and not the internet. Not the biggest Anime company in the USA that has it's own internet site! Someone is blowing smoke up someone's skirt. I say someone at Gaia let that sponsor slip away!
And last but not least, we have a BIG HALLOWEEN EVENT coming up, which of course will be FORUM BASED again; although Narumi did mention that there might be Trick or Treating. My question is... How does Narumi Misuhara plan for the Users to pay for this event? After all, he must have something in mind. What are we going to have to buy to make this event profitable for Gaia's bottom line? Only time will tell, I'm sure he will think of something. And let us not forget, right after Halloween comes Xmas event. Now that you know has to be a big money maker, after all, it is in the real world, it has to be here in Gaia World too!
Got something you want to rant or praise for the next issue? Post them here! Scream and shout and let it all out!

Warning and signals; Are not enough. For us to suffer less; And Sleep at night, At peace.
Your wind blows like a bullet train. As it passed every town, It leaves a devastating traced. Roof's are like crumpled paper in the air. Trees are like's matches sticks scattered in streets.
We are a country, Of Hope, And Happiness. But in every tryst you visited, You can't see a smiling face.
Broken Houses and families, Is all that you can see. for some of it's members and pieces, Are still missing, And not in place.
Bodies lies in streets. Kids are crying, Craving for some food to eat, A place to sleep, And a shelter for them to take a safe rest.
We will stand after this. and clean the mess that you've left. For tomorrow we all know, That sun will shine in every heart, Of every FILIPINO people that you've hurt.

 Hey Puyats!
Well, there's not much for me to say here, aside from the fact that I really, really had fun making this newsletter (would've been more fun if there were more people involved) but yeah. So my original plan of two released issues were all boiled down and stuffed into one newsletter, so you might notice some Halloween-ish themes mixed in there. sweatdrop
However, I have made mental notes this time to follow the deadlines, and when I say I'm going to release something at this certain date I will have to release it! Or so help me I will be sorry! scream Wait, was I just threatening myself? Alright, that's the lack of sleep talking.
Alright, for anyone who's curious on what PUYATAN means: it's the deliberate act of staying up. Like when you say, 'Puyatan ko to!' it means, 'I'll stay up for this!' It's a declaration of staying up for something, something you're willing to spend hours and hours for. So guys, what are you Puyatan for?
If you're just a member of this humble guild, or an outsider looking in, you are more than welcome to contribute to our newsletter! Hopefully one day it would mutate into a magazine, or blog or livestream radio, something who knows! Big dreams for this guild, big dreams!
Oh, and feel free to post your reactions and comments on our issue here or here, I'd be more than happy to hear from you guys, let you know what you think of what we did here!
Oh and I just wanted to say something about this month... I don't know, it seems to be a month of FEELS with a lot of people dying... Brian Griffin, Old liver-spotted man, old woman Maggie, Cinna from Catching FAYA, Hershel from the Walking Dead, and now the recent Paul Walker... it's just... too much for my feels to handle guys crying
*sniffs and turns away* Dammit onion ninjas, well I wouldn't want to end this issue with a sad note, I mean, why do I got to be so serious? (No pun intended to my avi) So guys, be sure to help out in getting activity in our guild. Like I said in the editorial, the only people who can help us here in the guild is US! :3
So continue to stay awesome Puyats, may the force be with you and try to get some sleep. TRY, at least.
