So far as I know, this is the first and only DIABOLIK LOVERS guild, made for the lovely Reverse-Harem anime. Since this is basically a fandom guild, it would be ridiculous if there is no main forum about Role-Playing.

I know that everyone has their own way of Role-Playing and their own rules. Though, I think it would be nice to place some basic rules for everyone.

• In this guild I prefer everyone to speak English, which also goes for Role-Playing in forums and/or chats. Though, it is up to you if you want to keep the Role-Play private to prevent one another from joining.
• To prevent confusions, be sure to use proper English, this includes capitals and punctuation.
• If there's a forum Role-Play, please ask kindly if you are allowed to join, unless the person, who started the forum, clearly said it's an open Role-Play.
• 18+ Is allowed, though this does not only mean sexual content; it also includes violence, bad language, alcohol, drugs, etc. Though, be aware that if you chose for a forum Role-Play everyone is able to read everything you do/say. Sexual content, violence are already included in the anime, though, be sure that your Role-Play partner approves this rule as well.
• I know a lot of the girls like to be paired up with the main characters, which is allowed. Though, if one agrees to Role-Play your anime crush + his/her OC/FC, you will have to do the same in return. It will be fair like this. If this is not the case you can simply cancel the Role-Play idea, or contact the guild captain for advice.
• God Modding and Mary Sue's are not allowed at all times.
• To keep following the Original Story-Line of DIABOLIK LOVERS, I kindly ask you to not change anything else of the original story; this includes area, time, setting, family tree, etc. You are allowed to add your OC/FC into the story (this also includes his/her own home, family, etc.), but be sure not to bash the Original story if you have respect for the developers who clearly worked hard on this anime.

I might once update this forum (if I am possible to do so) to add rules, tips or definition of certain words which are used a lot in the Role-Playing community. If you want to see a certain rule in this forum, don't be afraid to send me a PM so we'll discuss about that to see if it does not clash with the other rules. emotion_bigheart

Role-Playing dictionary:

Fancharacter (FC):
A fan character is a character that is made up by a fan of something such as a show , t.v, movie, ect. Another word for Fan Character is Oc meaning original character.

Sometimes Fan Characters can be comlpetely made up by there creators or sometimes a picture from the media which is being fanned and simply re-colored most people do not condidered those fan characters because the lack of thought.

Sometimes when making a fan character most people make them Mary-Sues, or in male cases Gary-Stues these are characters who basically are ridiculously to powerful or perfect. Such as Blaze the cat who is not a fan character but she is a princess, has fire power, beutiful, time travel, powerful, has own set of emeralds, ect. A lot of times you will see that a fan characters are an item for an original character.

God Modding:
"God Modding" is in essence when someone’s character has the ability to do practically anything without limits or boundaries. And example is when they simply cannot be harmed by any and all means other RP-ers try.

-It can be killing or injuring a character without the player's express permission.
-It can be when they simply can’t be hit and dodge all attacks or anything for this matter aimed at them.
-It can also be using other characters that other people RP with. In other words, if you do not RP as Legolas, then you cannot have Legolas say anything, or do anything, without the player's express permission.

The absolute worst is when they make out another character to be what they’re not, just to make their own character seem superior. They make others seem weak, screaming for help, when they’ve made it quite clear about their advantages and strengths. This is called power-play. It’s a strain of God-Modding, but instead of just being irritating, it’s offensive to boot.

Mary Sue:
See Mary-Sue. A female fanfiction character who is so perfect as to be annoying. The male equivalent is the Marty-Stu. Often abbreviated to "Sue". A Mary Sue character is usually written by a beginning author. Often, the Mary Sue is a self-insert with a few "improvements" (ex. better body, more popular, etc). The Mary Sue character is almost always beautiful, smart, etc... In short, she is the "perfect" girl. The Mary Sue usually falls in love with the author's favorite character(s) and winds up upstaging all of the other characters in the book/series/universe. There are several main types of Mary Sue:

Victim!Sues: The Victim!Sue is your whiny, wimpy, pathetic female character who can't seem to do much of anything except cry and get herself into trouble that the romantic interest of the fic has to rescue her from.

Warrior!Sues: The Warrior!Sue is usually loud, obnoxious and (of course) an amazing warrior. She'll usually have some tragic past that led her to become a warrior, and she'll upstage all of the Canonical characters with her mad Sueish powerz.

Mage!Sue: Similar to the Warrior!Sue, the Mage!Sue has amazing strength in magic, or has a magical power that nobody else has. She'll usually wind up upstaging all of the magical characters of the series.

Punk!Sue: Also called Noncomformist!Sue or Goth!Sue, the Punk!Sue is usually written by female beginners in the 11-15 age group. The Punk!Sue is loud, obnoxious, annoying and generally the type of person who you'd want to send off to boot camp for six months. The Punk!Sue almost always has angst coming out of her ears and isn't really a bad person, she's just oh!-so-angry at whatever tragic past the author has chosen to give her. The Punk!Sue is based on what the 11-15 year old author thinks is "cool" and wishes she could be. This includes Evil!Sues.

Misfit!Sue: This includes all Sues who are supposedly geeks, nerds, misfits, etc. Usually, the Misfit!Sue doesn't start out as inhumanly beautiful, but winds up getting a makeover and finding out she had the potential to be a guy-magnet (or girl-magnet, depending on the genre) all along. Also includes the "My parents want me to do this but I want to do that and it's not fair!!one!" type of Sue. Usually, this Sue is very bookish and smart, but will find some sort of physical talent nobody expected and become a star as a result.

Another thing to note is that a Sue will usually have a completely off-the-wall name, like "Viquetoria". The more weird and pretentious the name of the character, the more likely it is that she's a Sue.

Finally, Sues often have weird, improbable or impossible bloodlines. A secret half-elf child of Elrond and a nameless human would be an example of this. A character who was Dumbledore's grandchild and Tom Riddle's daughter would be another example.

Original Character (OC):
Stands for "original character." A character created by a fanfic author or roleplayer. Said created character does not belong to the canon cast but is inserted anyway for entertainment.

Many OCs appear as long-lost family members, past lovers, or exchange students. These background stories provide alibis for the sudden appearance and previous absences of the OC.

OC may also stand for "other character," in this case representing an extremely minor character, introduced or mentioned but not extremely active in an original series.

Then again, it wouldn't be an OC if it's based off Yui. xD Which is why I put down the definitions of certain words that may confuse people.

Also, a character based on a certain anime/series/manga/game/movie/etc. cannot be called an OC, it's a FC.

The character you describe is still not an OC, it's a FC since it's related to the original story.

Dude, who the hell wants to play Yui? She's goddamn pathetic in many ways. I rather stick to my OCs, and try to get them in the original story.

As explained in the Role-Playing Dictonary, an OC is an selfmade character that is not related to any fandom. A FC is specially made for a fandom, while in the history and/or relatives is described that the canon characters of a certain anime are related to the FC's past/family, etc.
