Matt would wake up to the sound of a kettle boiling. He would wake up to the sound of somewhere warm, somewhere on a nice comfy and rather plush pink bed-
- As a giant slime monster all teeth and tentacles, wearing a pink apron held out a tray of camomile tea out to him. "Tea and sugar?" They smiled a toothy smile that would have made lesser children scream in terror.

He was still dreaming, he was pretty sure that the ground his body was laying had morphed into something soft like clouds. The only other thing he would remember was the grinning face of Sasha’s body as she plunged her staff into his chest. OH Gawd, he was dead wasn’t he, Matt was dead and now floating in some world high above the sky waiting to see the pearly white gates. There was a chance he thought as his mind still slowly woke up to the burbling noise, that heaven would be filled with bouncing boob women that would for once adore him and not attempt to kill him.
The teapot whistled as Matt finally opened his eyes blinking at the ceiling of an unfamiliar room that almost appeared layered in pinks. He had expected heaven to have more blues and whites with a faint sunrise coming in along the horizon, but hey what did he know other than the random paintings. Looking over to the voice his eyes full of hope of breast, Matt was greeted with the large toothy grin.
“OH GAWD WHAT ARE YOU!” a scream erupted from his lips as he tried scuttle to the farthest side of the bed, “this is hell isn’t it. I’M IN HELL! No, no no no…. no… maybe its purgatory PLEASE, tell me its purgatory.”

"Actually, closer to San Francisco in the Human World I think. I guess that's sort of like purgatory?" The slime demon scratched his head with one long tentacle before putting the tray aside on the oak and lace covered table.
And then suddenly he was leaning a little too close to Matt. "Oh my goodness, how are you by the way are you- are you still breathing and doing human things, I've studied all about your kind you know, I've been studying humans for ten years now I know things like is it true that Human children aren't born from Pumpkins because, also can you actually not breathe underwater because that seems like a terrible, terrible problem, there's probably a cure for something, don't worry, I'll devote my next ten years to saving all you lovely, squishy, pink Huma- oh! I'm- " the slime monster straightened up, and seemed a little more oval than round, -"Squishy. That is my self appointed Human name." He whispered it in excitement. "And you are?"

“San Fran?.... how the hell did I get here?” Matt replied as his voice wavered off as he tried to think of what had happened last but from being stabbed in the chest everything else was well black. Quickly he ran his hands over his face and thing wiggled all of his fingers, checked his ears, nose, and even to see if he could wiggle all of toes. One piece, everything was still in one piece for the most part except for the loud beating and throbbing coming from his chest. Putting his hand over his chest he closed his eyes and took a deep breath of air, when he opened them the creature was in his face asking him a bazillion questions.
“Hey hey hey! Will you stop that!? Personal space. Respect personaalllll ssppaacceee.” Geez, despite the eagerness of the monster’s curiosities into humans he did seem to lack a little bit of common decency. Pumpkins and under water breathing, there was certainly a lot of somewhat necessary info on humans but rather common knowledge easily learned in a book or two.
“I think humans do pretty good without needing to breathe under water and the name is Matt,” he replied about to hold out his hand for a handshake but quickly tucked it back under the sheet as the thought of what a perfect name he had sunk into his brain. “It is.. nice to meet you Squishy, but can you tell me why I am in San Fran and how do I get back home?”

"But I just baked cookies and they're in the oven!" Squishy looked really, really sad. "I made them with Human ingredients and everything you have to try at least one! I mean you've only been here for four days and you were just so delightfully unconscious." He lowered his voice to a loud whisper. "I like watching you when you sleep."
