Gaming - There isn't much that he enjoys more than a day off with a good game. Over the years he has amassed an extensive collection of both games and consoles, so much so that he has an entire closet dedicated to storing it all. For the most part he plays online, under the IGN Ironclad (a partial anagram of his name) or co-op with his neighbor who gets just as into the game as he does- it's not unheard of for his landlord to call up to tell to them to quiet down. It's only a matter of time before they're both given a formal warning or simply kicked out for their behavior.

Bow hunting - The digital world isn't the only place he enjoys killing. He loves the solitude the forest provides but most of all he loves the rush he gets when he takes down something that could easily eat him if given the chance. Of course using a high powered rifle would be safer, he's had a few close calls, but it was far too loud for his tastes. Out of all the different weapons he has tried the compound bow is definitely his favorite. He tries to camp out once or twice a month, with shorter morning trips on his days off more often. For safety's sake he'll either bring along a small handgun or his more than reluctant neighbor- saying that he needs to make sure someone knows where to find his body if anything goes south.

Virtues: He's not all bad…. I think:

Confident - "I suck but you suck even more." He's confident in a way that he knows that he's garbage but still puts most others beneath him. He’s smart enough not to let on that this is actually how he feels, considering the job he’s pursuing, and generally comes off as self-assured. Nico is good at what he does and lets his actions speak for him, he’s not one to brag about accomplishments.

Protective - He's sort of like a house dog that won't let anyone touch the human he's currently sitting on. If for any reason he believes you're a threat to those he cares about he'll find a way to scare you away even if it means pissing off the one he's trying to protect.

Assertive - Nico definitely knows how to take control of any situation, or try to. On top of being confident he isn’t about to let just anyone walk over him, that’s something someone has to earn. He is very strong-willed and will absolutely get what he wants if he wants it badly enough.

Flaws:

Temperamental - It's reaaalllyyy easy to set him off- one moment he'll he calm and relaxed and the next he'll be absolutely livid, considering whether or not caving someone's face in is worth both expulsion and jail time. Since joining the Academy he's gotten a lot better at just 'walking off' his bad moods and he tries to stay away from people to test his nerves but even his roommate has him on edge sometimes. He's definitely one to throw game controllers or yell over his headset when he's playing games.

Impulsive - Something he’s trying to improve on (and failing for the most part). He acts before thinking and sometimes what he does comes back to bite him. It’s been more than a few times that he’s either gotten himself hurt or raked over the coals, if he doesn’t get better soon it’s likely he won’t graduate from the academy on time.

You can't spell 'assertive' without 'a**' - He has the tendency to walk all over people if they let him, and once he’s done it he assumes he can do it again. If you give this kid an inch he’ll have a mile or ten and you really have to make sure you prove that you have a spine before he takes you seriously.

Unfortunately you haven't posted the negaverse side of this quest so I can only comment on his civilian side for now.

Gaming: You mentioned that its only a matter of time before he gets a formal warning from his landlord? Does this not concern him regarding his hopeful carer in the Police force? Certain things can follow you through life and if he was to become homeless (no matter how temporary) this sort of information could spread to his academy and reveal that he isn't willing to abide by rules causing a black mark against his name.

Saying that though his actual gaming hobby is fine and so is the hunting but I would like to know how did he get into hunting? Was it a family tradition or did he just decided one day to give it a go and found he loved it?

Flaws

Temperamental - Again is This flaw cause for concern at the Police academy? I think its fine to vent his frustration though gaming but does he ever let this side show when he is training? Does he ever do anything else to let of steam?

Impulsive - would you be able to provide some more examples of this impulsive behavior or is it more tied with his temperamental flaw that he erupts before thinking he better not.
