The air was thick today, and muggy too! There was just no escape from this heat, no matter where she went. Moxxie growled in irritation at the heat that seemed to be swallowing her whole. She'd tried going for a swim, but even the water was hot! What was a girl to do, when even the most obvious of escapes were thwarted by this terrible heatwave?!
Laying back on her bench, she raised an arm to her forehead and wiped her brow with misery in her eyes. "This heat couldn't get any worse if it tried ..." She muttered, before crawling onto her feet once more and leaving the park bench behind.
Perhaps she could find a nice tree to lie under, maybe if she asked it nicely enough it would offer her its shade - if only for a small amount of time?! Goodness she hoped so! A glint of excitement swept across her face as she darted off towards the nearby groves, in hopes of finding that one promising spot.
