It was starting to feel like a breeze now as Takeo was taking a day to rest from his battles. He sat comfortably at his camp as he cooked up some meat he brought with him from home at the roaring fire. His mask was even slipped off his face as anyone could see his face and also took noticed of the white paint drawn on his face of eyes. Sitting there, he took the time to finally relax from his hunts and training which is what Takeo has really need. It seemed that every day his father has been pushing him to fight and train at every chance he could. Even at his home, the young ninja would be ambushed by him to be kept on his toes. “There is never a moment of peace for a ninja . . .” Takeo muttered under his breath as he poked at the burning logs to keep the fire burning. There are days that he wanted to wind down or else the stress will make him crack. He wanted to enjoy the time he is in the forest and observe the nature around him and the flowers in bloomed, but that enjoyment of his is a secret of his that he will take to his grave. Oh the things his father will say . . .
Once his meat is cooked to perfection, he pulled it out from the fire and grabbed the stick firmly in his hands and sink his teeth in the meat. It was highly delicious as he hummed in delight. Takeo was so involved in his meal that he didn’t took noticed that he was being stared down in the safety of the forest around him. It was a dire situation unknown for him as he was only being stared down until the right time. The ninja was down to the last few bites left of the meat. He planned to head out for a hunt before going home, but then his plans didn’t go according to what he thought of as he heard a branch snapped in the background. Luck was on his side as he had reacted quickly enough to see that an Ysali dragon was after him. He caught the sight of a cut injury along its scales and Take automatically remembered it from his last hunt out here in the forest. “A sense of revenge?” It’s what he thought it could be about. Sacrificing his meat, he quickly crouched down and stabbed the long stick in the small dragon’s chest deep inside. It roared in pain and it collided to the camp fire as it was caught in a blazed. Another dragon was waiting behind, but the moment Takeo saw it the Ysali dragon ran off to go back to its group.
The ninja ran after it to hunt it down. He ran through the forest as he leaped over fallen branches and bushes, but he was exhausted after the long run only to decide to let the dragon go. Hopefully that will be the last time he was ambushed and Takeo went back to his camp. From the long walk, he saw that his camp fire was out and the dark smoke was wafting up in the air and a dragon orb was left behind in the ashes. It wasn’t his most ‘graceful’ hunt, but he got an orb in the weird process. However, he did realize why his father have done all those random attacks on him at his time of rest. He just survived from that due to his quick thinking and can do home unharmed.
