It wasn't an uncommon sight to see Athene with some sort of hot drink during the colder months, the habit one that he'd picked up as a base-ranked senshi, when the cosmic outfitters had decided that it was good idea to lumber him with a shorts and t-shirt and get up.

He no longer wore shorts, but the habit of picking up a hot drink prior to patrol was one that had stuck, probably helped along by the fact that his senshi outfit was not a particularly warm one - more suited to the warmer months than the chill of weather edging towards winter.

Tonight had been no exception, and his hot drink of choice was a medium-sized hot chocolate, although the evening was cold enough that Athene was more using it as a sort of portable hand-warmer than actually drinking the contents.

He'd had a run of quiet nights on his recent patrols and so far tonight seemed to be shaping up as no exception as he let his feet take him in the direction of the park.

Athene looked over at the approaching aura, one of his slight but friendly smiles on his face as he recognised the blue-haired Page "To be fair this is much better than my first senshi outfit was" he admitted as his smile turned slightly rueful. "My first senshi outfit was pretty much a t-shirt and shorts get up" and even less cold weather practical than his current outfit.

"I've been doing okay" he said, absently tugging the end of his braid with the hand not holding the chocolate as he added. "Well better at any rate." The battle against the Monochrome Princess had left him bruised and with a burn scar on his right leg. "And if we're talking about the fight against the Shade Queen, it wasn't really my finest hour" there was a rueful note in his quiet voice as he spoke - after all the fight against the Shade Queen had left him badly bruised, barely standing and needing stitches in his left side.

He'd ended up having to give up his Thursday night Aikido classes too because of them - acknowledging that stitches and Aikido was not exactly a practical combination, although it was a temporary thing - Athene fully intending to take the classes back up once the stitches came out - well at least for Arian to take the classes back up.

He took a sip of the chocolate before asking "And how have you been doing Hara Berezaiti? Have you been well?" He hadn't seen the Page at the Shade Queen battle, although if she had seen him then she must have been there, he had however seen her during the fight against the fake Iris, and even though she'd gotten caught up in some sort of watermelon attack he'd also seen her managed to tangle up the Shade thing at least temporarily by using her scarf.

Athene nodded "I guess there's that" he acknowledged ruefully, after all he had had worst hours - like trying to use his senshi attack only to have the temperamental thing decide not to work.

"I thought your scarf tangling was really good - I mean you managed to hold the princess clone with it for a bit with it" he pointed out, before adding. "I'm glad that the whole Shade thing seems over though and I'm glad you're doing okay too."

"That makes sense" Athene said, adding "The whole borrowing ideas thing that is - it means you can make your own style." He smiled slightly "And mayhaps the scarf will get heavier or turn into something that can help you more."

He shrugged slightly not really knowing much about Knight weapons, but basing his words on what he knew of Camelot's shield.

"And that's great" adding "About the aikido that is" as he spoke Athene wondered if Hara Berezaiti had found the Thursday classes that he'd mentioned on their first meeting, adding "And I'm glad that you're enjoying it." before admitting "I kind of haven't been able to go to classes lately" the sticthes currently in his side had put paid to that. "But I'm hoping to start them back up soon " and by soon he meant pretty much as soon as the stitches came out.

Athene smiled slightly "Well we don't have fliers or chocolate, but I'm actually part of a team trying to try and look out for new senshi and knights, although there's not that many of us - just the four really.

The smile turned a little rueful, "This thing doesn't seem to come with a how to manual so I've had to pretty much stumble-learn my way through being a senshi which is something that I wouldn't want to wish on anyone." Especially given the fact that he'd never been particularly brilliant at being a senshi, even if time and experience meant that he was no longer so hopeless. "So I try to share what I've picked up on. The others in the team felt the same way too which is how we ended up coming together as a team."

"I've only been to my asteroid the once personally" Athene admitted quietly. "Even though I probably should go visit it again given that it's the place my senshi name comes from." He hesitated before continuing "But I don't really want to wander around it on my own, even though it's kind of silly given that there's no one there, nothing living." He shrugged slightly before adding "I guess what I'm trying to say badly is that I get not wanting to go visit your wonder."

He smiled slightly at Hara's suggestion to maybe get some people together "I think that's a neat idea" he said. "I'd be happy to give you a hand if you decide to do it. Maybe bring some treats or let those I know, know about" he hesitated adding. "Sorry if I'm being too presumptuous." After all Hara hadn't actually said that she would definitely do it.

Athene nodded "Mayhaps" he said quietly. Remarque had suggested the same thing on their last meeting - well more like the Dark Mirror senshi had pretty much offered to play travelling companion. He absently tugged on the end of the braid, not particularly wanting to think on his last encounter with the Dark Eternal.

"And I'd be happy to help" he said, hand dropping away as he nodded. "I think that a get together would be great. I'll message the senshi in my phone, see if they want to come and can let anyone I come across while on patrol know about."

He thought about it, adding "I can also bring some treats along, mayhaps give you a hand with other things..." his voice tailed off as it occured to him, that outside of them accidentally running into each other on the patrol beat that they had no way of contacting each other.

For a moment Athene hesitated and then set down the take-away cup and took the opportunity to scan for other auras - really scan for them as he weighed up the fact that it had been a pretty quiet night so far against the next step that he was considering.

He came back with nothing, it seeming to be just the two of them and so Athene thought he could chance the risk. "By the way, we need a way to be able to contact each other if I'm going to be able to give you a hand I mentioned" as he spoke he let go of the henshin, his ornate fuku changing to a more simpler (but warmer) sweater and jeans, his long hair back in the simple braid that was his normal way of wearing it although the glasses had remained the same.

He looked up at Hara Berezaiti quietly, "I'm Arian like this - Arian Laith." As he spoke he fished in his jeans pocket, relieved when he was eventually able to retrieve a pen. "I can give you my mobile number if you want." Although he had no paper, the cardboard from the take away cup of hot chocolate would probably do the trick.

Arian had not been expecting Hara Berezaiti to mirror the action and let him see the civilian beneath the powered identity and her choice to do just that had taken him by surprise.

It had also left Arian feeling touched "Thank you" revealing the civilian beneath the powered identity was a pretty big thing and his simple words were his way of acknowledging it. He smiled slightly as he added "And yes I recognise you," they'd been sharing Aikido classes for a little bit, for all that they hadn't really spoken to each other. "But it's nice to officially meet you."

As he'd been speaking Arian had fiddled with the cardboard on the take-out cup of the hot chocolate, although calling it hot was probably a bit of a misnomer at this stage given that it had been a while since he'd bought it. He'd managed to separate the cardboard from the cup and using the pen that he'd fished from his pockets he carefully printed his mobile number on a clean bit of cardboard "Here," he said offering the cardboard to Holi. "My mobile number" he clarified.
