She'll just be a civilian for a long time before awakening =x=
Knight Title: Findias Page of Earth
Challenge: Never doubt the truth in lore.
Uniform:
Concept Sketch! [ That's supposed to be her as a Page but uh... what I'm guessing is too much detail happened. So um. Artist, simplify? ]
Top -- Three layers. Bottom is a long dark green, long-sleeved shirt with three tails hanging down past her knees. Second is a pale yellow-cream top that stops about mid-thigh. Outer-most is a brown leather chest armor. [ Armor concept is meant to look like bark, but this can be ignored for this stage if necessary if this is too much! ]
Bottoms Trousers that tuck into boots. Dark grey-green?
Gloves N/A this stage
Belt A light green cloth belt that loops around her middle. Exact design I'm willing to work with the artist on.
Shoes Brown leather boots that start just below her knees. [ Again, meant to have some faux-bark look, but can be ignored for this stage! ]
Shoulders N/A
Accessories Brown leather choker, metal arm guards with Celtic knot designs (exact are to be discussed with the artist), and headgear that is a cross between this tiara and the fronts of these helmets. I'd also like it if she had a small, simple, leather sword sheath strapped to her cloth belt! Storage for her weapon.
Weapon
Page____ A simple wooden sword hilt, carved with both the symbol of Earth and Celtic knots. [ This shape, not materials! ]
Squire____ A more complex sword hilt, this time constructed of wood with accents of metal along the pommel and cross-guard. Adorned with the symbol of Earth, and Celtic knots; other imagery can be worked out with the artist. [ This shape, not materials! ]
Magic_______ Gripping the sword hilt, Findias is able to condense her magic into a beam of light vaguely similar in shape to a short sword. This "blade of light" is, in fact, blade-less. Unable to cut, it has the density of wood. For 30 seconds Findias can maintain the sword. Findias is able to block physical attacks with the light sword, as well as attack an opponent, but is unable to block or cut through magical attacks or barriers. While the sword is summoned, the light emitted from the blade compels Chaos-aligned opponents to feel honor-bound to attack Findias.

The following is really just a bunch of "behind the scenes" info that's half useful info for the quest... half just me trying to keep my ideas in a single space.
"Why an Earth Knight?"
Fiona herself is of Scottish-Iris heritage. Though I had a concept or two about her being an Uranus knight--speed and all that fun jazz--her heritage won over big time. Couldn't get anything else to stick the way Earth's Celtic aspect does to her. Beyond even that, her family's heritage could open up fun personal plot dips into both her family and knight heritage. Would certainly explain their age-old background and love for the lore of both countries, even if over time the family forgot their connection to Findias.
"Why use Findias?"
Mixed reasons. Much as I love more modern renditions of fae--cute and sparkly and totally cool chilling on flower petals--I grew up with mythology of a far more grittier nature due to my family. And personal interests. The Tuatha de Danann were a semi constant that liked to poke back up every now and then. More recently, a book series I read that utilized them and the four treasures made the spear and the sword stand out in particular detail in my mind when I started brainstorming wonders for Fiona. It really turned into which weapon I had a stronger concept for, and the Sword of Nuadu won out big time.
"Why the beam of light for her magic?"
The treasure of Findias in Irish mythology is the Sword of Nuadu. One part of the mythology describes the sword as a "glowing bright torch." Along with the sword being one that "no man would escape from when it was drawn from its scabbard," and the shop rules that knights cannot have bladed weapons, I figured a more abstract route would be fitting! One aspect of Earth is Virtue. Light, virtue.... it made sense in my head. Even from the nature route, calling it 'condensed sunlight' is one I'm willing to take if that's necessary. I was having trouble figuring out how to make it a 'sword of light' without making a bladed sword as her base weapon, but a more lightsaber looking blade made out of magic might... work~?
"Reborn, or descendant?"
Descendant. Descendant. Descendant. I cannot say it enough because the moment I started working on Fiona's info and the idea hit that she'll likely be a knight, the fact that her heritage is so important to her made it the only option. Her ancestor is likely male--Uscias, or just knows of him??--whom will be of especially mixed opinions of his very temperamental descendant. Fiona herself will be taking a few extra glances at her various heirlooms--even if 99% have nothing to do with her knight heritage.
Am opening this up for crits though :3~

Hi Kailey~ I come bearing a few small tweaks! First, magical lightsaber yes. For her magic, she should not be able to use it twice per day - Knights have a single finite magic pool! So she has thirty/sixty seconds, regardless of how she divvies it up. Also, I'd like to see a direct tie to Earth's themes! Perhaps when she hits an opponent, they experience guilt for some dishonorable thing they've done or other, or have a moment of questioning their honor/virtue? Something like that? Quote me once you've made tweaks and I will return~

8D -all of the highfives for magical lightsabers-
Oops xD;; Keep forgetting knights don't have a useage number, but a usage... pool. Pretty sure I edited all traces of that out. I take it then I should just keep the pools 30/60?
Tried adding in an effect that hopefully plays on both the lore of the sword--that none could supposedly resist the sword when unsheathed--aaand the Honor aspect of Earth, so enemies feel complelled by honor to attack Findias when they see it. Not sure if I explained it properly though, or if instead of seeing it triggering the effect, if Findias should hit them with the sword first. It'd just still have the "once per channel" rule. Did intend for it to have the potential to have her get in WAY over her head in so far as the number of people affected at one time isn't necessarily limited. Teacher totally intends on being a tank--that's her story and she's sticking to it.
And I apologize for any spelling errors above or in my posts, tablet has no spellcheck so I'll just be.... checking things next time I can acess desktop ewe;

I do think thirty and sixty is a good number, yes - however, the effect of feeling honor-bound to attack her should last for the full duration of her magic, since it's all the same thing, as it were. I think it's a great additional effect, though!

Oh ok o3ob I thought that 30/60 was potentially too long to have the effect go, thus the idea of just 10 seconds per hit on someone while the "lure" just goes on so long as the sword is summoned... BUT HEY. I'm cool with it going all through XDb
