For someone who so loved fashion, she did not care for models. Considering that she didn't care for most people though, that wasn't to surprising. But when she saw that one of the competitions that were paired with the DCU design program was a children's pageant, the blonde had warmed to the idea. She liked children, at least the ones who had ANY semblance of manners or sweetness. Not the ones who used their age to get away with all sorts of horribly cruel things, but just your standard children. The thought made her think of her little "knight" winston, a young boy only eight years old who had taken it onto himself to walk her home every day.
And when she said "walk her home" She meant the three blocks between his home and hers.
It was truly precious.
So she entered the hall were the pageant was gathering. The actual show wouldn't be for a few days, no this was the meet up for the young models to be paired with a college student of the design program, to have their measurements, colors, and tastes taken into consideration. In exchange for being the clothing guinea pigs for the young college students, the little models would be competing for a small scholarship for when they came of age to attend college.
The sound of chatter and laughter filled the large open space, and Leora made her way to the stage area were parents and children, along with other students gathered, students meeting their pre-assigned models. She was dressed in her usual ruffly lolita styled clothing, walking with confidence on her very tall heels. Not that it made a difference. The girl was terribly short, making her look more like a doll then a grown woman.
Slung on her arm was a small closed top basket, an old fashion sewing basket, complete with little wicker hinged flaps on the side. She strolled up to the man attending the event, who gave a faint smile. " Ah, Leora. Glad you could make it, you have been assigned to... " His voice trailed off as he fliped through the papers on his clip bored " Alejandro Cervantes. " He said, turning to scan the room oh children in various stages of idle play or sulking.
