Three Tenets of the Creed
1. Stay your blade from the flesh of an innocent.
As an Assassin, we strive to ensure the peace of all things. We believe that political assassinations and the death of the corrupt are keys to bringing peace and a true sense of security to the common people. Slaying innocents and civilian bystanders who do not have to die could spread strife and discord. This in turn can ruin the name of the Assassin Order itself.
2. Hide in plain sight
Remain unseen. Use stealth to get close to your target and escape just as quickly.
3. Never compromise the Brotherhood
The actions of one must never bring harm to all. If an Assassin fails in his or her duty, and was captured or chased, he or she must never commit any action or say anything that could be tied back to the Brotherhood, or bring harm to any member of it.
The Maxim
"Nothing is true; everything is permitted", the maxim of the Brotherhood is not a doctrine to be followed, but merely an observation of the world. In Ezio's words: "To say that nothing is true, is to realize that the foundations of society are fragile, and that we must be the shepherds of our own civilization. To say that everything is permitted, is to understand that we are the architects of our actions, and that we must live with their consequences, whether glorious or tragic."

Ranks
Novice
A new recruit, yet to be trained in the ways of an Assassin. Respect is earned, young assassin and you would do well to follow the tenets of our creed upon completing missions. By doing so you will be able to use new weapons and learn new skills to help you in your journey.
* Levantine Novices Novices in the Levantine Brotherhood are not permitted to use long swords, short blades, throwing knives, nor the Hidden Blade. As you progress in rank these items will be given to you to acknowledge your progression. Should you engage in a fight as a novice your options are: to flee or fight with your fists. Usually novices are only tasked with investigating targets or gathering information as your skills for combat and freerunning are severely lacking.
Novices are considered students, and need to obey all other members of the Order. Should they be given a mission they are required to gather their own information, in addition to gaining permission from the local bureau leader before conducting it. Failure to follow the tenets of the creed or if one's actions are severe enough even a Master Assassin can fall back to the rank of novice, being stripped of all his weapons and privileges.
Upon becoming an Assassin in the Levantine Brotherhood
The Levantine Assassin wields no special equipment, only being equipped with a Hidden Blade, a sword, a short blade, and throwing knives. The amount of weapons they hold depends on their rank. On very rare [RP perks] occasions, will an Assassin be allowed to use two Hidden Blades. This privilege is rare due to the materials available to make a Hidden Blade were scarce at the time when the Levantine's existed.
* Italian Recruits aka Novices
In the Italian Brotherhood, novices are called recruits. They possess all of the same skills as the Levantine novices yet are permitted to wield a Hidden Blade. Recruits usually wear masks to conceal their identity until they gain further experience, although not all choose to do so nor is it a requirement.
Assassin's Armory in the Italian Brotherhood
Aside from the weapons and skills they inherited from the Levantine Assassins, the Italian Brotherhood is capable of using: heavy weapons, long weapons, crossbows, poisons, guns, and explosives. They also are able of fighting on horseback.
Additional Information
Apprentices
Apprentices are someone who is born into the Assassin Order. Here at Pockettu, apprentices are acquired through breedings. All apprentices are trained from a young age, progressing through several tiers before being promoted to the rank of Assassin.
North American Brotherhood
In Colonial America during the American Revolution, the Assassin Order was nearly wiped out. When Connor began to rebuild the Order, he recruited several locals who were had grown weary of Templar oppression. Due to the fact that the Order no longer had an organized structure, the Apprentices chose their own attire, with only one of then known to wear a hood. Their equipment was not standardized either, wielding weapons ranging from butcher knife to a Hessian Axe.

Bureau Leaders
Bureaus acted as sanctuaries for members of the Assassin Order, where their users could physically and mentally prepare themselves for a mission, allowing them to restock on weapons, sleep or meditate. It also allowed Assassins a place to wait for the appropriate moment to strike, or for the dust to settle after an assassination.
Inside each bureau resided a leader, who held either the rank of Rafiq or higher. They would often give Assassins useful information on where to learn more about assassination targets. Once the strike had been planned and approved by the bureau leader, an Assassin was given a feather to soak in the blood of their target as proof of their success
Certain Locations An Assassin bureau was an Assassin-controlled safehouse located in cities during the Third Crusade and the Golden Age of Piracy. They served as a safe haven for Assassins during assassination missions, and were similar to the Resistance safehouses found in Cyprus.
During the Third Crusade, bureaus could be found in Acre, Damascus, and Jerusalem; whereas, during the Golden Age of Piracy, bureaus could be found in Nassau, Havana, Kingston, with a 'ghost' bureau being located around the Cayman Islands.
There are two types of contracts that can be made: Assassination Contract Healing Contract
Assassin's cannot challenge or create conflicts on their own unless the challenge is made against a Templar. Your Assassin has the right to refuse a contract, should you feel it necessary.
To make a contract with an Assassin. Please post your request here, filling out the form correctly. Please include a good reason or check with the owner if you feel that contracting will or will not become a problem.
If the Assassin lost during the battle, the contract has been terminated. You may recruit the same Assassin once their resting period is over, or you may recruit another for the same fight.
Each bureau leader is looking for different qualities in their recruits. Please pick wisely upon choosing a leader for your assassin to follow!
Levatine
Altair:
-Humility: Humility is a lesson I almost died learning. I have given up too much to the sin of pride, and my closest friends have paid in kind for my own arrogance. Live humbly and be considerate of yourself and of others. - Honor: Respect yourself and those around you. Do not give empty promises and complete the task that it is given to you as a test of your own honor. - Skill: As a Grandmaster of the Assassin's, only those of the highest skill and value can be directly under my watch. We are the leaders of this organization and that should reflect inside and outside of battle. - Virtue: The creed was built on a list of virtues that we must uphold in our own ways of being. Do not judge or condemn easily and carry yourself to a higher standard that garners respect from others. Be righteous and account for every action. - Open Heart, Open Mind: Our line of work requires a certain readiness for the unexpected. We live lives full of loss, sadness, anger, pain in great deal. But there is still opportunity to love, to endure, to enjoy life. Be open to all of it, and what could possibly be beyond our own human existence.
Malik:
- Loyalty: The Creed must always be followed. Don't compromise the Brotherhood through your careless actions. - Cooperative: We are brethren. We should strive to work together as a team to follow the orders given. Do not be a hero, novice. - Follow Orders: Get the job accomplished while still following the tenets of the creed. - Land Surveying: As you know I am in charge of mapping out the locations we travel. Since I cannot leave here often you are to be my eyes out in the cities. Report back to me any changes so I may update the maps. - Maturity: I am not looking to babysit anyone. I have enough problems with a certain Assassin as it is.
Italian
Ezio:
- Loyalty: Whether it is the Creed, your family, or your country, do not falter in your loyalty and in your defense of what you hold dear. - Cooperative: Working together with your fellow assassins is key when going on missions. There is no honor in a single man dying from taking needless risk. - Nimble and Strong: Roma is full of tall buildings as well as cathedrals, we need those who have the ability to reach the top or weave through rafters and stay hidden. Those who are clumsy will not be accepted into the creed. - Swimming: Roma and other areas are built around sewers and canals. We do not need those who can not swim and who can not hold their breath beneath the water. - Understanding: Sometimes the truth is hidden behind many walls of lies or codes, you must be able to seek out the meaning behind words as well as following clues left by other assassins. Just as you must find what drives your fellow countrymen and women.
Ottoman:
Yusuf:
- Loyalty and Cooperation: Follow the Creed. It can be hard at times, but remember, it is for the good of the order and the safety of everyone that we do so. We strive to work together here! Any issues with another assassin in our brotherhood must always be resolved quickly and in a positive manner, or everyone's well-being could be at risk. - Hard work: The Templars tend to be very active in our area. You must have the stamina and energy to deal with constant threats, and be able to keep on the move if need be. - Look out below: Much of our transportation around our area is done via roofs and zip lines using hook blades. I would hope if you apply you are not afraid of heights, or a little speed! - Nerves of steel: We specialize in bombs; if you are nervous around things that go BOOM, you probably don't want to join us. - Healthy humor: While we expect all of our brothers to be serious when it comes to their missions, we also know that a sense of humor is a good thing to have, especially when dealing with tense situations. We do not frown upon anyone who likes to have a little fun in their life, as long as it does not interfere with our tenets and goals.
North American
Connor:
Justice Seeking: If someone is wronged then they deserve to get the justice they require. - One with Nature: The ability to climb trees, track animals and people, among other things all through the lay of the land. Inability to do so will cause complications for you. - Loyalty: To your goals. Although our paths may differ I do not wish for you to hide your reasons for joining. Together, may we see an end to the injustices that this nation has brought upon us. - Morals: Our creed requires blood the be split but do so by your morals. If you see to it that a man live then let them. Do not kill without need.
Aveline:
- Loyal: They know what their purpose here and will not stray from the Creed - Smart: They know how to speak a different language - Improvisational: The south has a whole bunch of unknown terrain with unknown creatures. When plans go wrong, they must know how to deal with it with minimal damage and getting the task done. - Serious: No rushing ahead first. From time to time it's okay but they keep a calm mind with any problems that comes their way and get the job done.
Caribbean
Edward:
-Sea-Fairing: You must have sea legs, lad! We travel by the seas more so than land. - Defying: Go against the grain and you shall see riches and fortune in your life. - Loyalty: To your fellow crewmen and to the Jackdaw. The creed included yet I won't kill you where you stand if you stray... yet. - Brutality: To be aboard my crew you cannot lack a backbone, lad. No need to play coy - you are to show your teeth. Strike fear into the hearts of man. - Wanderlust: You need a sense for adventure. A taste for the finer riches as well. A pirate's life.
So you got what it takes to follow one of the leaders?
