The first Gorillaz video I ever saw was Clint Eastwood. I first saw it at a hotel in Florida 2 years ago. I was immediately addicted to them ^^.

Clint Eastwood was the first video I saw from Gorillaz. The second was Feel Good Inc.

i first saw Clint Eastwood, and i've watched all the others in chronological order since then. fandom meets mild perfectionism.

Like most everyone else, the first time I saw the Gorillaz was back in the day when the Clint Eastwood video came out.
You may be surprised to learn, however, that originally I was creeped out by the Gorillaz. In a big way. At the time I was terrified of most monsters, so ghosts, zombie gorillas, and androgynous guitarists, all put together, were "scare-Atticus'-pants-off" scary. To add to this, all the boys in my grade would sing along to the chorus the best they could, which bugged me a lot.
And when I say they scared me, I can give reasons for each member:
2D: CREEEPY hollow-looking eyes, tooth-missing-ness.
Murdoc: Dude looks like he molests puppies, then mutilates and kills 'em.
Russel: SCAAAARY white eyes.
Noodle: ...actually, she didn't scare me. But I, like a lot of people, thought she was a boy.
Del: WHEN I SAW HIM MY BRAIN A SPLODED WITH FEAR. He's big. He's blue. He's a GHOST WITH SCAARY MAGICAL POWERS.
It took the remix of "19-2000" to come out on the radio and convince me the Gorillaz weren't all that freak-a-leeky.

I feel weird because I just found out about "Tommorow Come Today" a few months ago and it was the first one to come out. Still, It's my favorite Gorillaz song, next to El Manana.

My reactions on th'peoples... -CLINT EASTWOOD- 2D: Aww. He's cute. He has big eyes, tho'...an big feet...blue hair? Hmm. Maybe...he's a clown... Murdoc: First off, I fough' his name was Mudroc. Or Merdoch. Can't remember. But...I will admit this...I was like... mmm...secksi.Noodle: He's cute, in a little kid sorta way... Russel: He looks like a doughnut. o_O I have no idea what my logic was behind this. I just remember finking tha'. Oh, an I fough' tha' he wore glasses, too... Del: Hmm...another clown...connection? Weird looking lips. Later, much later, I saw FGI. I fough' they looked...oddly familiar...an it wasn't until I went t'there site, an listened to C.E. on th'jukebox, that I realised they were th'same as those awesome people I saw some years ago. I still fough' Noods was a Japanese-British crossdresser who sung on Kids With Guns. o_O er...how does one molest a puppet...? (Edit: I love your A SPLODED comments, Mr. Finch. XD LOL moment.)

Hmm.....I had heard the 19-2000 remix on the gum commercial and LOVED it, I was pretty sure I had heard Clint Eastwood a few times, but I never knew who it was.
Then I saw a pic of Gorillaz in someones sig, and my origional thoughts were:
2-D:'.....I've never seen an asian with blue hair.' *I really did think D was asian.*
Noodle:...I just remember thinking she was a boy.
Murdoc:'*HISS*' *I hated him the VERY first timeI saw them.*
Russel: 'Hmm. neutral '
I Hated them at first, because I was like 'AMERIMANGA RAP-NESS' because at the time I had only heard the rap section of FGI *No clue why* Then a few weeks later on the commercial for Now 19, I saw part of the music video and I was like ' eek heart WOAH, MY LIFE IS CRAZY' and had to go out and buy the cd before I exploded.

The first song I heard was Clint Eastwood. I didn't see the video 'till later, but my mum did. But looking at the album cover...
2D: He's funny looking. I like his hair. Can he be my friend?
Murdoc: He's scary lookin'.
Russel: He's big and could prob'ly kick my butt.
Noodle: Mummy, I think there's a girl in Gorillaz.
I like their car!
Yeah, so that's what I thought. My mum played the first album all the time.

Clint Eastwood was the first song I heard. But at the time I really hated it. Then 19-2000 came out and I remember really liking it, but I didn't know who it was by. Then Demon Days came out, and my then-boyfriend's brother played it in his car ALL THE TIME. I heard "Fire Coming Out of a Monkey's Head" and "Feel Good Inc." the most when I was in his car, and I was like "OMG this is awesome." I then purchased Demon Days and my obsession grew.
first impressions:
Noodle: like lots of other people, i thought she was a boy at first. didn't take me long to figure out the truth though.
russel: thought he was very cool. still think so.
muds: creepy. eww. but now, of course, he's awesome.
2D: so cute! yep. now i still think he's a cutie, but now i also think that he's a genious in disguise.

XD Am I the only one who didn't think Noodle was male.
I wanted Noodles hat, I thought Murdoc was a sexy beast (O.O wink , I thought Russel looked like a pillow, I thought Del was weird because he was blue and I thought 2D was very Damonish.
I was surprised at myself for liking Gorillaz back in 2001. I was ten or nine. My music taste was Le Crap. It was all S Club 7-ey SHits rubbish I was into. XD I was just flicking through the channels and on comes Clint and I'm sitting there getting my groove on to the music, then I went out and bought the single, it all happened so fast. It just goes on from there. I didn't have a computer back then so I couldn't enjoy the magic of Kong though. crying
