That familiar chill was in the air again--the chill that said that winter was coming. Joy of freaking joys. Just what she loved--cold, slushy snow and jolly shoppers and men in giant red suits with too-happy smiles. She didn't hate Christmas--rather, she loved the presents aspect--but she definitely rang on the more 'bah humbug' side of it all. She liked summer. She hated winter. The end.
So bundled up in a plush down coat with a faux-fur lined hood, stuck her feet into her boots, and braved winter's chill. There was no snow--not yet--but the ground was hard as stone as she strode across it with the grace of a gazelle. She didn't bother to look back at the little apartment that was once home...because with a new baby in the house, a little demonshit to be exact, home wasn't home anymore and Valium was left with an odd sort of longing...
Popping her earbuds into her ears and cranking Pierce The Veil as high as it would go without deafening her, Vali started the long walk to the local coffeeshop-slash-cafe. Coffee sounded amazing right about now.
