x- Soyez fiel - - Be Faithful - xThe Vance Family Cottage The Vance's family cottage is a rather small, secluded home high up above Loch Lomond. Because of the seclusion, the Vance's don't usually hold back their magical abilities, however they're careful just in case some Muggles go adventuring. The cottage is actually Muggle friendly, besides a few rooms in their basement. With the house there's a two-car driveway, however the Vance's only have one as they're completely confused by cars and have no need for them, the one they have is simply for when they need to actually go into town, which is almost never.x xBasement xxxx xMain Floor xxxx xxxx xxxx xBackyard xxxx xSecond FloorMaster Bedroom Lexine's Room Sybil's Room Evan's Room x x xSecrets of the Vance CottageThe Vance's made sure that their basement doors had charms that repelled Muggles. Not because they allow Muggles in their house every so often, but just as a precaution. Even if they somehow managed to see the door, the door is unable to be opened by Muggles either way. The main study is in the basement, so it looks like nothing to hide, but they also have quite a few things from the parent's old Hogwarts days, as well as Lexine's new ones are stored there, as well as their potion room which is in a decorated door under the steps - mostly used by Amy and Lexine. The basement is also where they practice all their schooling and magic, so it would probably be bad if someone walked in on them.
They all have hidden doors in their rooms that lead down to the basement as well. If Lexine or Sybil were to knock a pattern on either of their walls, their closets turned into stairwells down. If Amy or Ethan were to move a certain book in their bookcase, the wall would move next to their bed and behind it stairs lay. Evan has yet to figure out how to open his hidden door, as he's a bit young and doesn't care much. He doesn't spend much time downstairs whatsoever. Almost all of them use these doors, but it seems that only one door is used to get them all in there. Each staircase collides somewhere, so if two are coming downstairs from two different rooms, they would end up meeting somewhere along the way as they went down. When they call the staircase, a door ends up appearing across from the staircase.

The Pets of the Vance Family Treex x x xxx xxx Pandora, Archimedes and Reeseex xPandoraThe StrongPandora is a cat whom was saved by Ethan Vance when she was about to get killed by her owner. Ever since Ethan saved Pandora from being killed, she's followed him around. He tried to get her to leave a few times, but she always comes back. She's now very attached to Ethan and is usually found curled up on his lap. Even though she does this, she's still very independent and likes to be alone, which is why her and Reesee don't really get along, although she loves the little kitten and will never let her get hurt and would never hurt her, always sure to help when she's in danger.xArchimedesThe WiseArchimedes and Amy had been friends ever since she had bought him in Diagon Alley. The two bonded over the course of the years she spent in Hogwarts, often they played together when Amy was upset (not really having a lot of friends) and she sent letters to her parents just about every day, which Archimedes always made sure got to them. Even though small, Archimedes is a very old owl and very wise, often able to show Amy things she didn't know or didn't realize. They have a very strong bond, and usually Archimedes likes to fly around the house and gets along well with the children. Archimedes is an all around nice owl, and gets along well with most other animals, although can't stand that Reesee keeps trying to jump up and catch him.xReeseeThe RuntReesee is the brand new kitten in the family bought for Lexine for when she goes to Hogwarts next year, as she didn't want Archimedes or Pandora to come with her. She wanted a pet of her own. Reesee often tries to catch Archimedes when he's flying, making Archimedes mad, although it makes her upset when Archimedes pecks her as punishment (often Lexine shoos Archimedes away when this happens). Although, she does get along with the other animals and knows she'd do anything for them. Reesee is always a happy kitten, and is very playful. Now, because she's so young and little, the other two do look out for her as she's always getting into trouble and Amy is reluctant about letting Reesee come along to Hogwarts with Lexine. Lets just hope she gets her act together.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~Third Year ~~~~~~~~~~~Seer "The best way to keep something bad from happening is to see it ahead of time..." A luxurious Aston Martin pulled into the driveway of the the Vance house. Iñigo, gazing upon the nice house from the front seat, hardly could keep his smile from widening. He loved this little house...everything about it. It reminded him of the old place he used to live in...well...relatively at least. It was similar in size and material. The silence between him and his father was soon broken however."Iñigo, are you sure this is the place?" Calvin asked him, not even knowing there was a house up this high on Lomond.
"Si papa, I'm sure of it," he said to his father without hesitation. This had to be it. He couldn't imagine Lexine living in anyone of the houses further down. He honestly could just picture her in this house. But truthfully, he didn't know, but his father was quick to get him out of the car.
"Okay, son, just go knock. I have some errands to run and some business to attend to. Have fun," Calvin said to Iñigo, while pulling the handle of the car magically. Iñigo quickly got out of the car and once his feet had touched ground, his father zoomed away...off to no one knows where. Some days, Iñigo could swear that his father did not care about him. What if this wasn't the right home? Would he have to go find his Dad somewhere out there just to find the right one...would he have to walk? With a casual shake of his head, he walked up to the door, his gaze wandering as he took in the surroundings. The house was quiet and just the way he personally liked it. He loved quiet areas, which was part of the reason why he loved camping so much. It gave him time to calm himself and this seemed to be a perfect place to do that. Just being here calmed his nerves a bit.
As he made it up to the door, he reached his hand up, only to put it back down because of the fear that kept telling him that the house was not Lexine's, but he figured he would give it a shot. He reached his hand back up and knocked and at the same time, rang the doorbell that was placed to the right of the front door. As the sounds echoed in the surroundings, he smiled, absolutely loving the natural look of this home. It was far better than his, but he figured that no one would believe him if he told them that. "and you can't see it if you refuse to face the possibility."
Lexine sat quietly in the basement study reading up on next year's potions in one of her parent's old school books when her little sister came down the steps. Lexine took one glance at her, then looked back down at her book. "Go away Syb, I'm reading..."
"Sorry weirdo, but mum told me to call you up. That friend of 'ours is 'ere..." Sybil said as she leaned over the guardrail. "Is tha' a textbook? Like, a school textbook?" She asked mockingly.
Lexine rolled her eyes as she set the book down, marking the page. "Yeah, I know, I'm strange, or whatever you were going to try and insult me with," she sighed, hurrying up the steps. Sybil followed at her heels.
"Is this tha' boy 'ou visited last summer?" Sybil asked. "Do 'ou like this boy? Oooh! Lexine's got a cruuuush!"
"Oh, shut your mouth Sybil."
"Don't tell your sister that, Lexine." Amy, Lexine's mum, sighed as the girls passed her. "Be nice to your sister, or you're not allowed to go on that trip with Iñigo," She warned, walking past them into the other room. Lexine rolled her eyes, then went to the door just as the bell rang. Unlocking and pushing open the door, Lexine smiled as she was met with Iñigo.
"'Ello there, Iñigo," she greeted. "I see your father didn't come. Least my parents don't have to worry about making awkward small talk," Lexine joked. She then realised that her sister was still standing next to her, eyeing Iñigo curiously. "And, you remember Sybil, I presume..."
The younger girl looked up at Iñigo, a soft frown on her face. She then turned on her heel and set off for her bedroom. Lexine watched her sister, then looked over to Iñigo, dumbfounded. "Anyway, want the grand tour, or what?" Lexine asked as Iñigo walked in. She closed the door behind him and walked to his side. "I mean, it's not really much to explore, it's not as big as your house, but, ya'know...suits us..." She said, wondering out in front of him, then turning back towards him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~Third Year ~~~~~~~~~~~Seer "The best way to keep something bad from happening is to see it ahead of time..." The boy sat there at the front door for a little while, starting to have second thoughts about whether or not this truly was the girl's house. Had he really been wrong? This question swirled through his head, but fortunately for him, his thought process was interrupted by the door opening. The best part about it was that it was indeed Lexine, which filtered out all the doubts that this was the wrong house...unless this was a friend's house that she just happened to be in, which seemed a little farfetched, but it could happen. He was always a person than ran several scenarios through his head to solve certain predicaments. But luckily, all of his scenarios went out the window, when he heard Lexine's mother speak for a brief second and then he stood face to face with Lexine and her sister, but her sister seemed to go up to her bedroom before he could eve say anything.
"Did I do something wrong? Why did she go to her room?" he asked Lexine quietly, making sure no one overheard him. It did not please him that the second face he saw that day was a frown. He wondered if he silently did something wrong without knowing. He was never one to upset people. He hated upsetting people, but he had to get over it this time around.
"Of course...I surely want to see your house. I really love this place...well...so far," he said to her, a smile finally finding itself back onto his face. "Believe it or not, I believe this house is much better than mine. All the nature and what not around it. But forget about that, let's go," he said to her, motioning her to continue forward into the Vance house. "I also would like to know how your summer is coming along," he said to her, hoping that she was having a good time. "and you can't see it if you refuse to face the possibility."

Lexine shrugged while Iñigo watched after her sister. "I have no clue. She's an...odd one... I mean, we all are, to be completely honest, but she's probably the strangest." She looked over to the steps where her sister had gone to and started wondering the same, but quickly let the thought go away.
Lexine looked over to Iñigo as if he were mad. His house was giant, and had to be fun to explore. Sure, Iñigo may not believe it, but his house was clearly better than the Vance house. Either way, she walked out in front of him and quickly turned on her heel. "This is, quite obviously, the kitchen. We don't have, like, a 'foyer' area." She shrugged, walking off farther into the house. She pointed one way into an open room. "That's the living room, although my mum is currently in there. She's a bit tired, soo we probably shouldn't bother her much... My da's out, so we don't have to worry about him..." The girl explained, walking backwards towards the steps. "And that" Lexine said as she pointed to the back room that looked out into the lake. "Is the play room. Rarely used by anyone but little Evan. When he gets a bit older, my parents are probably going to turn it into a...sitting room, or something." She slowly walked into and found herself sitting in the hanging chair in the nearest corner to the door. The room was rather messy, Evan had obviously been playing as little cars were set about all over the room, as well as the tracks. "Sorry 'bout the mess... Sure, the kid's five, but he doesn't like to clean." Lexine smiled, leaning back a bit. "So," she started, looking over at Iñigo. "Wanna go upstairs or down?" She wanted this 'tour' over quickly simply because she wanted to talk. She'd probably bring up something stupid like something from the potions textbook, but whatever. Her summer had been spent in near dead silence until now, it was nice to have someone to actually talk to.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~Third Year ~~~~~~~~~~~Seer "The best way to keep something bad from happening is to see it ahead of time..." Iñigo calmly grinned when she said something about how they all were odd. Lexine was odd in some ways, but then again, so was Iñigo. Everyone had an odd thing about them, but that was usually what set them apart from everyone else. He didn't dwell on the fact however and just kept looking at her until she finished and started to give him the tour around the place. He drew some looks from her when he said her house was beautiful and that he really liked it. He expected as much, but the face she had on was priceless. She looked as if she just saw a rat chasing a cat...with a hammer...like that old muggle cartoon. "Listen, listen, listen, I'm not insane. I just really like this house," he said to her, complimenting her home and hoping she would take it. No, he would make her take it. "And I'm not going to let you say it is not either," he said to her, smiling.
They started walking through the house, passing the kitchen first and then passing the living room. He marveled at the small house, taking in everything as he went. It was a little house, but quite frankly, it had just as much to do as his house, just it was more compact and you can get it done more quickly which was an added bonus. Next off was the play room, which Lexine presented it as rarely used, only by her little brother. That's where he got confused. Lexine said that when the boy got older that they would convert it to a...what? A sitting room? What is a sitting room?
"Can you please explain what a sitting room is? I quite frankly have no idea what that is?" he said to her, laughing. His house probably had one, but he never was in it. "And I guess upstairs" he said to her, letting her lead the way, a casual smile still on his face. He was glad to be at her house this time around. "and you can't see it if you refuse to face the possibility."
"Okay, okay, okay," Lexine said, nodding gently and putting her hands up in surrender. "I mean, the house is indeed nice, but I just have a hard time believing that you actually like this place. It's like an ant hill compared to your house. So tiny and insignificant." Lexine said, walking around a little, then turning back to Iñigo. "However, if you really like it, then go right ahead and like it. I can't stop you," She joked, putting her hands up once more. "No, but really, thanks for saying so." She finally said, smiling and bowing her head a bit in gratitude.
She finished the tour of the downstairs quickly and sat in the hanging chair as Iñigo stood in the door frame. She was rather surprised that Iñigo didn't know what a sitting room was...after all, he was rich... "You're...you're kidding, right?" Lexine asked. Once she realised, by his dumbfounded look, he wasn't kidding, Lexine sat up and let her feet fall to the floor. "Well...a sitting room is kinda like a living room...but it for like...sitting??" Lexine though, trying to piece it together. "It's where you'd sit around with guests and talk to them and stuff...I think..." Lexine sat a minute, thinking, then looked up at Iñigo, "To be completely honest, I haven't a clue..." She finished off, getting up, then looking around the room. "But I'm guessing my parents actually know... Although, I don't quite understand why they'd be putting it in the back of the house..." She thought. Then, shaking her head, as if shaking the thought out of her head, Lexine walked over to steps. "Oh, I forgot to say," she said, motioning to the kitchen. "There's an archway in the kitchen that leads to the dining room." Lexine then started up the stairs with Iñigo behind her.
When they made it up, she lead him down the hallway and pointed out the rooms. "That's mum and da's room, we're not exactly allowed in there, so don't ask; that's Evan's room," she peeked in and waved to her little brother who was sitting on the floor and playing with some of his toys. He smiled brightly and waved at his sister and Iñigo. Then got distracted by his toys once again. "That's Sybil's room," Lexine said, looking into her little sister's room. She looked in as well and saw that her sister was sitting on her bed not doing anything. The little girl looked over at the two of them, then looked away. Lexine looked from her sister to Iñigo, then walked forward once again. "And this is mine," Lexine walked into her own room and bounced down on her bed. "We all have our own colour schemes, it seems..." Lexine mumbled, looking around her room. "But hey, whateva'...' She shrugged. She fell back on her bed, and motioned for Iñigo to sit on her window seat.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~Third Year ~~~~~~~~~~~Seer "The best way to keep something bad from happening is to see it ahead of time..." He listened to her intently, feeling as if he was being rushed around a bit but he wasn't going to say anything to her about it. He didn't really care too much if she was rushing him, but he could only wonder why. That was more what he was thinking about. Did she not want him to see the home or something? He didn't really know, but not knowing the fact left him a little confused, but his face did not even give the slightest hint that he was. He knew that if he was to even move anything on his face that she knew him well enough to pick it out; so he kept to himself...reserved.
And that's when they got onto the subject of sitting rooms. He didn't know what it was even for. Can't people just sit in the living room? "I figured that you sit in the room Lexine...it is in the name isn't it? I was more asking why one has to have a room for it and what that part is. Couldn't you guys just do that in the living room?" he asked her jokingly, covering up his lack of thought when saying he had no idea what it was. Of course, he did not think before he asked the question, but he quickly played it off, which he thought he did well. And that's when everything got amusing. She started attempting to explain what it was, but by the end, she admitted that she had no idea. And all he could do was lift a hand, motioning towards the room, an amused look on his face. "Now you see what I mean," he said to her, laughing a bit before he pondered what people could actually do. I guess they could sit and talk, but nothing more than that or reading. Sounded quite boring actually.
And that was when they went upstairs, only to be told that they were not allowed into a room and not to ask. He raised his hands in the air and said, "Hey, hey, hey, I wasn't even going to ask," he said jokingly, giving her a playful wink before finally continuing behind her waving at the young boy Ethan as he left. And next up was Sybil's room, in which they were not greeted as nicely as her Mom and Dad's room. The girl seemed distracted with other things going on, but he would not ask or say anything because it was not his place to be asking those sorts of questions. It could be because he was here. And last but not least, after they left Sybil's room, they moved to Lexine's room, which was a vibrant orangey color. It was definitely lively...more lively than the other rooms. There was a seemingly comfortable bed and a nice seat at the window, which also seemed to be comfortable.
"I like this room...very lively. The color is nice," he said, taking a seat at the window seat in which she basically told him to sit. Well...not physically tell him, but more with body motion than any other type of communication. "and you can't see it if you refuse to face the possibility."

Lexine glared playfully at Iñigo before shrugging. "I suppose we could...but, I mean...my parents are strange, and I don't really understand the meaning in changing that room into a sitting room. But hey, you probably have like..twenty in your house, so I suppose you can't say much," Lexine pointed out, pointing a figure at him. "even if you don't know about them, they're probably there...somewhere..." She said, putting her hand down. Iñigo's house was giant, so Lexine hadn't a doubt in her mind that there was at least one or two sitting rooms in his place. Who knew how many he had considering the size of that place.
"Okay, okay, just sayin'," Lexine said defensively as Iñigo said he wasn't going to ask. She put her hands up in front of herself and then dropped them, nudging him gently. She just noticed the wink that Iñigo gave her as she turned herself around. She tried her hardest to not giggle or blush. Luckily, she was successful.
Lexine lay looking up at her ceiling as thoughts started to crowd her head. It was getting much too busy up in there as of late...maybe she could clear out the attic while Iñigo was there? Of course, it would be rather difficult; most of those thoughts were rather personal and definitely didn't need sharing with anyone. She looked over to him as he said her room was nice. Lively. She smiled gently. "Yeah...surprisingly enough." She said sighing. "Honestly, I look around this room and wonder how it's so bright and lively, and then there's me..." She smiled slightly, then rolled over onto her stomach to look over at Iñigo. She propped her head up with her hands and looked up at him. "So, how's your summer been?" She asked. Lexine of course knew that Iñigo was going to Spain soon, however she hadn't a clue if he did anything else before that. After all, he was rather wealthy, so she wouldn't be surprised if he and his father spent some time else where. Of course, while Lexine was at Iñigo's house, she noticed that Iñigo and his father -- whom's name was slipping her mind -- didn't exactly seem rather close. Of course, she could be wrong, but she wasn't quite sure. She didn't know his father very well either, so it may have just been her misinterpreting his body language.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~Third Year ~~~~~~~~~~~Seer "The best way to keep something bad from happening is to see it ahead of time..." Iñigo smiled at the girl as she glared at him. And all he did was laugh when she had said that he may have twenty, just because it was most likely true. "Yes...yes...yes...which is definitely twenty too many," he added, chuckling even more. The thought of even having a sitting room really annoyed him, just because he truly didn't have a reason to have one...which was yet another reason why he hated his house. There were so many unnecessary rooms that he didn't even need. For a house to be a house, he believed there should be just a few rooms...and the littler the better, which wasn't a good mentality to have when one lived in a castle, but hey...that was his preference. And his preference must've been different than Lexine because they seemed to enjoy other's home more than their own, which was definitely humorous to think about.
As the two go to their room, he took the window seat, just like she had told him...well motioned him too. At the moment, the girl had been looking up towards the ceiling, seemingly thinking about something. She always seemed to be thinking about something and her expression just about told him that it was not up for discussion so he did not push the matters. But he did hear the girl speak about herself negatively...again. "You have your lively side...just like this room of yours. Stop trying to be enigmatic," he said to her jokingly, smiling at her as she turned onto her stomach and propped her head up. She asked how his summer had been and all he could do was sit there...thinking. That is, until he figured out his answer. "Boring...extremely boring. That is, until now I suppose. I hadn't really spent anytime outside of my home. My father has been on a lot of business trips and whatnot; so there is really no one to take me anywhere," he said gloomily. He couldn't wait to leave for Spain though...to see his family. Then again, he was just as happy here...with Lexine.
"How about you? How has yours been?" he asked her calmly, looking into her eyes as he asked. "and you can't see it if you refuse to face the possibility."
