They pushed open unlocked doors, quietly investigating with an intense curiosity. The cuff laid heavy against their wrist, a reminder of the promise Aleria had made to these Hunters, these humans. Despite their status, they were still mortal, short-lived and unpredictable.

Aleria opened the last door in the hallway, thinking it might be empty like the rest-- but no.

There was a boil, here, napping, and he was not of this world. He was of hers, where the fantastical reigned supreme. He had ears, and a tail, and was a ball of chocolate fluff and violet clothes. It was rude to intrude, they knew that, but they wanted to know why this scareling was here, too. Closing the door behind them, Aleria approached them slowly.

"Hello?" they said, voice low, crouching down to stare directly over the boil's form. "Are you awake?"
