Behaving was booooring.

At least within the list of rules and limitations that Thackery had been given. He didn't mind following the rules, and was still strictly clinging to them, but the longer he stayed, the more repetitive it got. It was nice to meet the humans, and interesting to see how all of them worked. Unfortunately, the one building that he was allowed in was the labs, and he was not at all clever enough to understand that work past a very basic level.

And they never really wanted him to bother them, which he understood, as disappointing as it was. It was probably super serious stuff, since they had to focus so hard on saving the world and everything. He was just one Cerberus who wanted attention, among what was definitely a bajillion humans and creatures just like him.

It would have been humbling, if the concept stuck at all. But it hadn't, and the thought was gone as soon as he left the labs, his mind focusing on the problem of boredom again. After walking in circles and grumbling 'uuuughh' over and over didn't do anything, he'd begun to collect an armful of sticks, with no real reason in mind. Once there were no more sticks in sight, he'd flopped down to inspect them.

They were bendy enough to make nice little crowns, he discovered, and was now busying himself by making small circlets of sticks.

Usually around this time of day, Finn would have retired to some kind of indoor duty to get out of the heat of the sun. But the weather had cooled off, or at the very least, felt cooler then it had been before, and the moon trainee wanted to take advantage of that fact by doing a little extra in the physical training department. For right now, that meant going for a jog, his jacket doffed and hanging on one of the practice dummies as he made his round.

It was when he came back, however, sweating and breathing heavily from the jaunt, that he noticed something peculiar. At first he thought maybe he was just seeing things, as he slowed to a stop and made his way over to where he had left his jacket, eyes locked on the figure sitting on the ground. A trick of the light, or the dizziness provided by the rush of blood in his veins and lack of oxygen going to his head. But no, even as all of that began to cease, what he was seeing was unmistakable.

Whoever was sitting down over there had ears on top of his or her head, dark ones. Maybe it was just a head band, but there was something else that he couldn't help but notice, and that was the tail.

That person, who he was no longer certain was an actual person, had ears and a tail.

Okay, so his curiosity was peaked. Finn gathered up his jacket, folding it over his arms carefully before making his way over, cold eyes squinting as he approached. Headband? Naw, those looked far too real. And dog like. Damnit Finn really missed his dog, Jake. Wait, no, focus.

He stopped beside what he was now referring to as a creature in his mind, eyeing what he was doing.

And then because Finn was never really in the mood to be particularly tactful in his introductions, "What the ******** are you?"

The self-assigned busywork had become just interesting enough for Thackery to get lost in it, weaving the pliable sticks in and out and in and out until the wreathy crowns they vaguely resembled became more and more intricate. He was almost done with the best yet, and only needed to tuck the twig into a little loop, when something startled him into yanking the twig out instead. The circle of sticks collapsed into a pile of sticks in his hands, and his ears drooped as he looked towards the sound.

"Huh?" Frowning, he tried not to look like he was truly hurt by the loss of the pointless thing he'd just invested time in. Because he definitely wasn't. "Oh, um."

He picked at the edge of one of the sticks, shoulders slumping as he began to worry that he'd done something wrong. This was somewhere he was allowed to be, right? Maybe they just hadn't told everyone that he was coming to visit.

"I'm a Cerberus! Like a dog, kinda, but better." His mood seemed to be improving. Talking about himself did tend to help. "Oh, maybe you meant 'who', though! If you did, my name's Thackery. Am I in the way of your uh..."

Ever-observant, he glanced at him and tried to make a guess.

"Run...ning? I can move! Ooh, ooooh, or can I come with you? What are you doing? Is it more fun than this?" Suddenly excited again, he sat up and eyed the human eagerly, tail wagging rapidly.
