A little light shone on the screen in Ida's hand and she smiled as she looked up, studying the city around her to locate the signature her compact was showing her. There was a new senshi nearby, and after everything that had been happening lately, she was rather looking forward to something a little more simple and enjoyable... meeting new people was always something she enjoyed.

Jumping down to the sidewalk from her high perch on a wall, Ida trotted down the street and around the corner, her compact ever in her hand to check her location and the location of the light she was searching for.

Around the corner, she caught sight of what, or rather who, she was looking for. This senshi was a girl, and the bubbling green on her skirt made Ida wonder what her sphere was.

"Hey there!" She called as she waved an arm, a warm smile on her face.

Machholz was... honestly not sure what she was doing, not for the first time since she'd awakened as a Senshi. ********* just kind of chunked her out into the world without saying much about how to fight. So far, she'd been lucky enough to avoid serious injury when it came to fighting. A youma, some... dark version of what she was, and some woman in a uniform. She didn't even know.

Her stomach was still bruised from the elbow it received and her mesh gloved hands were rubbing the spot tenderly. It was one of those times of year where you could see your breath. As she breathed, her dark painted lips quirked into a serene smile. Winter was coming fast and she wanted it here already.

However, those thoughts were interrupted by a voice. Her body moved on it's own, taking, what she thought, was a defensive stance. Fists raised in front of her, one leg pushed out, putting her weight on the other. Then she blinked hard at the woman before her and her head tilted. "Another Senshi..?" Her voice was cautious, and her pose slowly dropped. She could run if need be, instead of fight.

Seeing the other senshi take a defensive stance, Ida slowed to a stop and offered a wave, keeping a friendly smile on her face. She was proud to see she was ready for anything, it would keep her alive, but in this case it was entirely un-needed.

"Hey, its okay. I'm a senshi, like you. We're on the same side." She clasped her hands behind her back as she shrugged. "My name is Ida, its nice to meet you. I'm sorry if I startled you or anything, I just saw you were nearby and wanted to come and introduce myself. I sort of make it a habit to get to know as many senshi as I can, it comes in handy."

Hopefully that would be the case here too. The senshi needed more of a network than they had... there was very little organization in their faction, and sometimes they suffered for it. How you would ever get them organized, she had no idea, as there were no clear leaders... but hopefully this mission to get to know the new people, to train them, would pay off in the future.

Another Senshi? One that wasn't going to fight her? The shorter, paler Senshi's stance relaxed slowly and she tilted her head before crossing her arms in front of her in a sort of scared way. "...Sorry, I just.. Ah, I'm always jumpy when I'm out like this." She waved her hand a little before offering a smile. She wanted to let her guard down, relax, talk like normal, but at the same time, the last time she did that, she got attacked by a youma with a knight.

"Ida? I'm Machholz. You're the first... not evil Senshi I'm meeting." There was a laugh in her voice, but it faded quickly and she scrubbed a hand over her face. Okay, if there was another Senshi here, she should be able to relax because two Senshi were more powerful than her by herself. They could take down a youma if it spawned. "I take it you're not new then? Not like.. me? Your outfit's different than mine."

Ida's uniform was stunning, and Machholz had an eye for fashion. She moved closer, inspecting her from head to toe before looking up with just a happy smile. She was really starting to relax now.

It made Ida sad to think this poor girl had only ever met senshi on the chaos side... those senshi were a twisted version of what they were supposed to be. A sad shadow of themselves...

"I'm sorry it took me so long to find you... I spend a lot of time finding new senshi and giving them a hand getting a hang on all this stuff they're suddenly a part of now." Dark eyes watched as she was scrutinized, hoping her appearance was up to snuff. She'd hate to let someone down because she didn't look... impressive enough, or whatever. She wanted to be a shining example of all a senshi could be, an ideal to strive for... even if she could never reach that ideal herself. Hopefully, one day she would inspire someone to surpass her, and then all the struggle would be worth it.

"Oh! No, I'm not new." Ida laughed as she smoothed her skirt down, feeling again the subtle weight of the wings at her lower back. "I'm what you would call an Eternal level senshi. There are three stages; the basic level, which is what you are, Super, which is the next one up, and then Eternal, the highest a senshi can reach normally. There is a higher level, a Prince or Princess, but that's very rare... I've only heard of two of them."

She smiled brightly as she shrugged, grinding her heel into the ground. "I know you can make it as far as I am if you work hard at it. It makes it easier to deal with the negaverse when they pop up, since there isn't all that much that can stand up to an Eternal. I'd... also like to help you, if you'll let me. Its sort of my job, to help new people get a foot in the door, so to speak."

Ida was more than impressive. Machholz tried to hide the fact she was still more than a little nervous. An... An eternal senshi? There were levels to this thing? Her pale eyes widened and then blinked a little more before she bit down on her lip. Right. Of course there were. Magic grew, didn't it? At least in the movies..

Then again, movies weren't very good teachers.

She listened to the explination and nodded a bit more. So she was the basic level. That meant she could get comfortable and grow and eventually start helping out other senshi like Ida was doing. "There's no need to apologize for ...ah, taking so long, considering, I'm guessing you can't find each and every new senshi." Machholz let a little giggle pass her lips before she bit down on it again. Okay this wasn't so bad. "I met a knight once. He.. helped me learn a few things. Very nice guy.. if a bit impatient with me." It wasn't her fault she was thrust into that youma battle!

Okay, so it was. She had been there, drawn to that energy without realizing what it had been, just like when she felt pull to that evil senshi. "I would love the help." It was said with a sigh of relief and the Poison senshi put a hand to her chest as she visibly relaxed further. "Oh my, God, from that battle with the other senshi I've been really afraid to run into anyone else at night while I'm walking around. I'm not a fighter! I'm an ice skater! Is there like a senshi fighting class or something? Because I have a feeling I'm going to need to take extra of those."

Ida laughed softly as she shook her head. Pulling the chain of her compact over her head, she offered the open device to the other girl. Its screen was still lit up with dots of light, some of them moving and some winking out while others appeared.

"This device lets me see all of the new senshi in the city that I haven't met yet. There are quite a lot of them, I'm afraid. I use it to help me find them, so I can do what I'm doing with you now... letting you know that you're not alone in this fight, and that there are people here with more experience who want to help." It was hard to forgive herself for how many lights shone in her compact... but she was the only person with such a device, and only one of four that had made training new senshi their duty. They couldn't be everywhere at once, even though she could wish for that.

"The Negaverse is very powerful... they have a lot of people in their ranks and its dangerous particularly for those of us who are still new... your power is at its weakest right now and unlike them, we don't have a system to train our new members how to fight or even how to protect themselves... most of us are thrown into this and we have to figure it all out on our own. But!"

Here the orchid senshi lifted her forefinger, a smile breaking out on her face. "You have met me now, which means if you put me in your phone, you will always have back up if you need it, AND someone to teach you if you want it. I know a lot of senshi and a few knights... I'm a resource for you and support."

Pulling out her senshi phone, Ida demonstrated adding Machholz to her contacts.

"The knights can be really nice and helpful people, but... they just aren't a substitute for a senshi when you are one. Their magic works differently from ours and their wonders are different than our planets and stars."

Machholz just held the compact and watched the likes flick in and out, grinning wide. So many Senshi. So she probably met another senshi and didn't know it. Magic and all that concealing real identities. She bit down on her bottom lip and looked up at Ida as she spoke again, nodding. It gave her an almost weightless feeling knowing she wasn't the only new senshi around. It was just in her head that she was, and what put it there? She didn't know. But it was a deep seeded fear.

"I'm honestly relieved I'm not alone. It's.. Mn, overwhelming? I feel these different energies and hear things and I just freeze up and.." She let out a hard sigh after the rush of words and put a hand to her eyes. She ran her hands through her bangs after and just nodded at the talk of Negaverse. She had encountered... youma so far, and felt darker energies when she was heading home in the wee hours of the mornings. Then the phone was said and she nodded a bit, seeming to magically produce her phone.

Following Ida's example, she added her there and grinned. He first senshi contact. Great! "He was.." She paused d frowned a little. "Like I said, helpful but seemed to snap if I did something wrong. I mean.. I could tell he was just trying to help but he's obviously used to someone more skilled than I am? I think I'm picking up on things pretty quick."

At least she hoped she was.

Ida shrugged as she smiled, unable to help a small giggle from escaping.

"They're just a little bit different, you know? But then, everyone is different, really. Even other senshi have different views, different drives... not everyone is as willing to help out each other, as sad as that is. Senshi strength is at its best when we're in groups, I've found." In her experience, that was more than true. She had never been injured as badly or been in as much danger when she was with her group... and the emotional support she got from them was immeasurable. Maybe she was just lucky to find the group that she had, but... it was a blessing, really.

"If you find people to team up with, I highly recommend it. You'd be hard pressed to take on a Negaverse officer of your own level, but if there were two of you? Sometimes they'll even run when you have them out numbered. Of course, its still good to train yourself... knowing the limits and strengths of your magic, knowing how best to use it, can be a life saver. But its also nice to just have people around sometimes to help you with the tough stuff."

Amen to that.

Machholz let her brows knit as the elder senshi talk.

So knights were good guys, but not like senshi. Okay she could work with that. She put her hands behind her back as she listened, looking thoughtful and then blinked at the talk about teams. Teams? That meant she could meet other senshi like Ida. Other senshi.. Maybe she could make a friend and finally not feel so helpless by herself.

"Teaming up sounds like something I can do," she said with a little giggle and then hummed to herself. "I don't like doing things solo.. I know I'll have to, but I'm more of a social creature. Maybe we'll be on a team one day, if I can get a hang of this whole... fighting thing. I'm normally not a fighter. At least I'm not dead yet." Those pale eyes turned to look at the other again as she'd been wandering off as they talked. Machholz didn't like staying too still. It made her anxious this late at night with this uniform on. "Th-that is if you want to! I'm not trying to push myself onto a team with you or anything!"

Ida smiled warmly as the young senshi seized on the idea of teams, clasping her hands behind her back as she giggled softly.

"Teams are important, I think, so I'm glad you think so too. And as an added bonus, if you team up with people who have more experience than you, you can learn from them both faster and safer than by yourself." The happy expression eased a little, a hint of sadness entering her eyes. "I wonder sometimes if the senshi we loose to the other side, the ones who get corrupted, didn't have the proper mentor to show them the right way, or didn't have a team to support them... I don't know how anyone could have a solid team and still choose to become corrupted."

Shaking off the thought, Ida laughed as Machholz asked to join her team. "The team I'm part of is the PSSG and the other members are Athene, Tsui and Chaonis. They're good people, and my very good friends... I think I would be happy to have you as part of our team someday. I think you could learn to be a strong senshi and do a lot of good here in the city." The eternal reached out to tough the pale girl's shoulder, her smile warm and welcoming.

"Will you call me sometime, when you're ready to go patroling again? I can show you some more things, help you out. I'd love to talk some more."

Her thumbnail went between her lips and she gnawed on it a bit more before sighing. She was nervous about everything, still. Alas, she was a senshi. She would get used to these things! The worried look floated away and she giggled a bit as she listened and then nodded.

So now she had something to look forward to! Joining a team with Ida. Ida was strong and pretty and just really what she wanted to be. She didn't make it on her own, either. She found a team of, what she said, were good people. A hum left the girl's lips as she put her hands behind her back and then nodded at the question.

"I w-will call you!" Dang nerves. They were still getting the better of her. Her cheeks colored a bit more and she just laughed to herself. One of these days she would be a sure, confident senshi that others would look up to. Just like Ida. As it sounded like Ida was giving her a goodbye, Machholz backed up a bit and chuckled. "I suppose we both need to get back to patrolling.."

Ida was glad she had made this small connection with a new senshi, even if the meeting had been short.

"Have a safe patrol and get home safe, ok? Keep your eyes open and on the alert." She said before she impulsively reached out to hug the other senshi and then step back. "I'll talk to you soon!"

The eternal waved before she turned to go, taking a few backwards steps and then doing a smart about face. She looked forward to hearing from Machholz again and getting a chance to share some of the knowledge she had gained over her time as a senshi. Mentoring felt rewarding, like she might being doing a small part to make her side stronger. Hopefully, this would be a good step towards something even greater.
