It had finally happened.
The shadowy witch had been defeated.
Many of the individuals who had been drawn to the battle were beginning to dissipate from the area, fleeing before they could attract any attention from the local law enforcers.
Nysa would have fled by now if it wasn't for the presence of a young lady whom he had shielded with his gossamer cape from the final rain of weaponry.
The two of them had taken on quite a bit of damage, and it would have been completely improper of him to leave her to fend for herself.
Flipping his cape back behind him, he stood up before offering his hand to the girl to help her stand up.
"...Are you okay, Miss Psyche?"

Sailor Psyche had taken a physical and a bit of a mental beatdown from the battle with the shadow witch. Her worst injury by far was a blow from one of her Captain's attacks and knowing that the Shade Iris clone had already been defeated left her with the lingering doubt that her best friend Rainbowface attacked her. Eventually she learned that the shadow witch was copying attacks and while the mental damage lifted what remained was a painful burn that gave her trouble standing.
She watched as comrades and foes alike left, and soon found herself startled by Nysa's hand. She had expected him to have left as well but there he was, still watching out for her. She stared at him with her big grey eyes, and tilted her head a bit.
"Nysa, Knight of Neptune..." she whispered, accepting his hand.

With her hand within his palm, he assisted the girl to her feet. It would seem as if the girl was not doing well, given how tedious a task it seemed for her to stand. It would have been absolutely impolite of him to just leave her there to fend for herself.
He also had seen better times. His arm had received the worst of the injuries from that odd burning gray light. However, the more pressing matter at hand was how absolutely disgusting his uniform was. The cape had been torn in places, and the jacket had been burned along one of the sleeves. There were other nicks and tears in other places.
The Knight seemed to wait until their area had cleared out of soldiers from the war before he attempted to guide the young lady to a tree. Guiding the hand he held to touching the bark, he mentioned "If you could give me one moment, Miss Psyche..."
He apologetically retreated for a moment, distancing himself before he turned around. It might have seemed bold, but once he was no longer facing the senshi, his uniform faded for a brief moment, revealing the back of a rather well dressed figure in a casual suit. It was only mere seconds before his uniform seemed to reappear, his cape billowing out in its full glory. Once he turned back towards the senshi, his uniform was completely pristine, as if he hadn't lifted a finger during the battle.
Having attended to that important business, he returned to the silvery haired senshi's side. "...would you like assistance to your home, Miss Psyche?"

Sailor Psyche was happy to be back on her feet and she appreciated this man's efforts to assist her. He asked her for a moment but not understanding she originally went to approach him but quickly found herself clinging to the tree as pain burned into her further. She would have to wait and hope he came back, or later crawl home and hunt him down like game when he didn't.
She would never forget the sight she seen when he powered down. She could only see the back of him but the form burned itself into her mind and even after he powered back up she could still see the truth behind the mask. She wondered who this person was, ever thankful when Nysa, Knight of Neptune came back. Not everyone would, she had discovered this watching the city in passing. Very few were truly kind.
Holding her hand out to him, grey eyes stared at him with interest, "Nysa, Knight of Neptune. Help Psyche."

Nysa had decided this girl must have been the polite sort as well. The way she addressed him with full title must have been a show of respect.
It clearly had nothing to do with that accent lingering upon the girl's breath.
He extended a hand to the girl, insisting "I will make sure you make it to your residence safely, Miss Psyche. If you will... I will escort you."
What sort of man would he be if he didn't dutifully help out a maiden in distress?

She was totally the polite type but if you asked her what polite meant she would have answered something else. She could use some help, and happy to have someone to make use of brought a smile to her face. She took his hand gingerly if only because her body was weakened, and stepped toward him. She staggered, a tinge of pain running through her back.
"Ahnn," she whined lightly, biting her lip with discontent. "Thanks!"

With just the one hand within his, he was able to maneuver the girl in such an effortless manner that she soon enough had her arm linked within the crook of his. He was at her side, there to guide her where she needed to go, and to offer physical support if she needed to lean against him.
Before starting up the leisurely walking pace, he leaned towards the girl. "...Might I ask which way we shall be heading, Miss Psyche?" He was no mind reader, and if left to his own devices there was a good chance she wouldn't even come close to the proper location. There were just too many homes and neighborhoods to go to.

Sailor Psyche was definitely happy to have someone there to help her given the damage she had taken from the battle, and she leaned onto her escort to help ease the weight on her own body. She walked slowly, and obviously appreciated his leisurely pace as a small smile fell on her lips between winces.
"Oh," she said with surprise. She didn't want him to be led to Ellie's place so she began to try and explain directions to him for the park nearby. It was a good place with several different neighbourhood sections on either sides of it. It seemed like a better idea than just having him walk her to some random house and then for her having to stagger back from God knows where.

Once directions had somewhat been given, the young man began to guide the pair to the proper location.
It was increasingly obvious to him that this girl's native language was not English, but a gentleman also wouldn't let this sort of walk go in silence.
"Pray tell, Miss Psyche, are you a student? Or are you a working young lady?" He was not trying to be particularly nosy, but he wanted to figure out what sort of topic he could touch on without getting overly personal. He smiled as he looked to the senshi, attentive to her potential answer.

Sailor Psyche definitely wasn't enjoying the stroll the two of them were taking, easily gauged by the exasperated expression on her face. She might have appreciated the silent walk because in addition to walking like this she also had to use her brain more than she might have enjoyed. It shouldn't have been as hard as it was, these were all pretty simple questions. In fact, those were basic things she had known as Theodora. However, she was just so engaged by her condition it just seemed 20% harder than it should be.
It was a hard question to answer when she did sort everything out though. She wasn't exactly a student, and she wasn't really working either. In a way, she was both though.
"Yes," she said confidently without a smile. She might have had a smile for Nysa, Knight of Neptune if her body wasn't screaming out at her. However, that was not the case. She did seem to make it clear that, by golly, English might possibly not be her native language. Although, maybe she was just sort of rude? Hmmm, tough call.

Though he had been quite accommodating during the walk, the longer the pair continued, the more obvious the young lady's distress became. Though she had awkwardly answered his question, he nodded his head slightly. He was not foreign to accents by any means, and though it was European, he couldn't tell which country this senshi's accent originated from.
Gradually, he guided his companion to a halt.
"I apologize if I am being too forward, but would you like me to carry you the rest of the way?" To help make his point a bit clearer, he used his free arm (and not assisting in holding Psyche up) to gesture a lifting motion. She clearly had seen far more damage than himself and apparently he was now stressing her out physically.

"Nysa, Knight of Neptune. Yah." She said this with a half pained smile on her face.
Being the dependent and supercilious character that Psyche was, she accepted Nysa, Knight of Neptune's offer immediately. By her standards, if he didn't want to do it then he wouldn't have offered to! She was more than grateful not to have to walk on her own in this condition.

With the permission obtained, the young man scooped up the young lady's legs, toting her with much care towards the direction she had given him prior.
He kept himself quiet for the most part, but at some point as he began passing some trees in this region of the park, he had to ask "...you will tell me when you would like me to set you down, yes?"

Psyche was like a Queen. She didn't even have to walk. Boy, was this the life. It eased the pain but it didn't erase it. She cringed upon being picked up, wincing a bit in his arms. She tried her best not to move, and to avoid moving her neck she simply spent most of the time staring at Nysa, Knight of Neptune's face. Why? Well, it was right there. It was a lot easier to look there than it was to twist her neck and look around.
She could see in the area past his shoulders though, and eventually she signaled him that this was it. He came to a stop slowly as to not jerk her around and then gingerly set her down on the ground. Before he drifted too far from him, she leaned in on him and pressed her lips to his cheek. Where had she seen that from? That was the proper way to thank someone, wasn't it?
"Nysa, Knight of Neptune! Bye-bye!" She said before she staggered away from him. She couldn't wait to get back home.
