✘Story✘
It has been 50 years since the zombie apocalypse began and took over the world. Not many of us remain, just a few colonies that were built long ago by the people that had survived the odds. The first colony started off small until word got out of it's existence, as the colony began to grow a new government formed by the elders to restore and keep order, but also as the amount of people grew so did the threat outside the colony walls. The first colony almost fell victim to the zombies until they revised a plan to form two other colonies each about a day or so away from each other on foot.
Now it being many years later we live day by day just doing what we can to survive, most of us being born into this world, this is all we know. Having made our homes in small huts we have a trading system to get food, water, or anything else we may need. We also have a few farms with crops and livestock for vegetables and meat for trading in the market, known as The Black Market. The higher up people of each colony live in luxury from what I've heard with warm beds, hot running water, and warm meals everyday. It's almost as if their promises to keep us safe and help us survive are a lie and all they do is use us and help themselves, and the worst part no one even notices or cares they just want to survive. We were taught how to survive from an early age and we only have history books that tell us how life was before the Apocalypse. The people living in the walls don't know any other way of life or what the world looks like outside of the walls. So here comes the question, why stay? There is one way in and out to travel between colonies, but that's only if you can manage to get a pass. You see once in the colonies nobody is allowed to leave unless they have passes or are apart of the military personnel. The higher up people (the government) keep us behind these wall for our safety as they say, so it's harder than you may think to get passes or become their loyal guard dogs (military personnel). People have tried to leave without passes or anything to search for a better life, but they were never heard from again. No one is sure what happened or if they actually managed to leave, but most people are to scared to even try.
There are three ways of getting a pass out of the colony, if you are higher up personnel, market traders between colonies, and being apart of the military. The high up people include the governor, his family, and loyal body guards. The process of becoming military is long and not easy. First you must master skills in fighting with hand-to-hand, weapons, and firearms. Then you have to manage to get in touch with the governor, which is almost impossible, and then you have to prove to them you can be loyal and follow all orders given. There is also a section in the military of Scouters who leave the colonies in search for supplies and bring them back to be shared among the colonies, but it's as if the higher ups are keeping most of it for themselves. Even if you manage to get a pass or get into the military no one is allowed to travel at night. Not only do we have the threat of survival inside the colonies we have the threat of the huge population of zombies. At night the zombies become more aggressive and faster, they don't get stronger or smarter luckily for us or they would have made their way into the colonies by now. At night there is also a rule of putting out fires or hiding them well to not attract the attention of unwanted visitors.
Soon people will learn the truth and the way of living as we know it will change. Maybe there is a better place out there, maybe a place where we can live free and not just survive, and maybe...just maybe the colonies will fall...

✘Additional Information✘
➔ Fire is the only light source, there is no electricity, but there may be a few flashlights and batteries left over. Flashlights and batteries are very rare.
➔ Everything is limited especially guns, ammo, and batteries.
➔ The government are living in secret luxury and are keeping most supplies for themselves.
➔ People who try to leave are shot on sight or if they escape the Scouters are sent to retrieve or kill them. No questions asked. The governor gives these orders in secret to keep order. They rather people to be naive to is really going on behind the scenes.
➔ All trading goes on in The Black Market and between colonies.
➔ Any working vehicles are used by the Scouters.
➔ During the day the zombies are slow, but still very dangerous. There are your typical zombie, no mutants or special powers. Though they smell horrible and corrupt your nose with the foul stench of rotten flesh. They attack and try to eat anything that moves, though animals don't turn. And of course the simple damage to the brain still does the trick.
➔ We may have been taught how to survive from an early age, but we aren't allowed to train in combat for the government assures us there is no need and we are safe (more like they fear being overthrown). Though some people have hidden melee weapons and train in secret in-case things turn for the worst.
➔ There is no money, money is useless. Only items such as food, water, wood for burning, clothes, blankets, melee weapons, ammo, batteries, found treasures, etc. can be used for trading.
➔ The way of living is as if we've gone back in time staying in small huts, using a fireplace for warmth, fetching water from a stream then boiling it, hunting (if there is a place to hunt), fishing (if there is a place to fish), farming, etc. Though the Scouters have salvaged clothes so there is no need for making our own. And bathing can be done whenever if you decide.
