The shiny red Demon coin, wherever it may have been put, starts to grow warm, and the demon insignia slowly starts to glow. This goes on for a few days, the glow gradually burning brighter.

When you pick the coin up, it has become too hot to touch, and it burns the palm of your hand. It has left behind a burn in the shape of an undecipherable rune; not the demon insignia.

On the fifth day, the demon insignia is gone, burned away and there is now dark smoke emitting from the glowing hole in the center of the coin. It almost seems as if the coin is burning from the inside out.

In an unexpected flash, the coin burns up in white-hot flames, leaving a thick, opaque, and dark smoke lingering. The smoke swirls and slowly forms a Pae-like shape. Three glowing eyes stare back at you.

Quick and so fast that it can't be seen, something lashes out from the smoke, striking your abdomen. It sears with pain, but only for as long as it takes to notice there is no mark. Instead, within the smoke, red glowing claw marks appear.

What have you summoned?

Prisma had almost forgotten the strange coin she found on the island with Mister Lisandru Sir, until she noticed in a mirror that it started glowing from its little nestled in her hair with her hairware. At first, she would take it out and simply watched it, marveling over how much brighter it seemed to glow day by day. But as days went by, it seemed to grow warmer. Now more curious, not to mention a rather achey hot spot on the left side of her head, she reached up to pluck it from her blue tangles, noticing that it felt warm against her hand as it did against her head. "Silly silly coiny coin, you are not supposed to be hot!" she mused, turning it over and over to look at it until it near about scorched a hole in her hand, causing her to drop it and let out a small shriek.

"OWey owey ow, that was not nice extremely!!" she whined, shaking her hand, a strange symbol now burned into the palm of her hand. Pouting, she ran her fingers over it, not recognizing the shape. "I could have doodly dood'd that on my hand myself.. meany coiny coin." she slumped into bed, leaving the thing on the small end table as she tried to forget about it for a few days, five to be exact.

All the while she had forgot about the coin, fussing over the burn on her hand when she noticed that it finally seemed to be gone. Gleeful and doing a little dance, she skipped back into her room only to see smoke filtering out of a glowing hole in the coin. Confused, her first reaction was that of laughter, smoke being a fun thing for her. "YAAY Smokey smokey, babby puppets!" she shouted, skipping closer with her hand outstretched to make tiny mice and little birdies.

Suddenly the coin flashed into hot flames before her extremely, causing her to jump back and utter some kind of strange coo scream. The smoke that followed only choked her up, not created nifty little puppet pals to play with.... or did it? Having to strain her eyes, she blinked repeatedly as the smoke formed into the figure of a pae-like shape, but with three glowing eyes. "Oh, hello extremely!! Do you want to play?!" she smiled, trying to be friendly, only to see something strike out from the smoke and a searing pain across her abdomen. But as she glanced down, she saw no mark. Instead she noticed what looked like claw marks in the smoke, red and glowing just like its three eyes....

Dear heavens Prisma... What have you summoned?!

Enki was sitting down, staring down at his smoking coin. Was this...A bomb? What in the world was this demonic piece of copper! First it was burning in his skin...Some weird rune, now it was going to explode. Maybe he and Zercora should have left them on that table in that Fae hut. This thing was bad, why in the spirits had he kept it for so long? And now it was going to explode.

And it did...Sorta!

Enki shot up as the coined flashed and bruned up, leaving such a dark smoke...He squinted as he tried to make out what was going on...Was that a Pae? Was there a pae in there? What was-

OH SPIRITS HE WAS HIT! THE PAIN! HE WAS GOING TO DIE WITHOUT EVEN GETTING LAID! OW OW OW OH GOOD BYE CRUEL- Oh wait he was fine. Enki blinked in surprised to see NOT his guts hanging out, but..Nothing? What in the Spirits...He looked back up to see glowing claw marks within the smoke. Oh..He was still going to die...

What just happened....

Zecora hadn't noticed it at first, the coin had been mingling among the organized chaos that was her things, so it had been a few days before she started to notice that it was glowing. When she did, she made her way over to it and picked it up, she made a noise at the searing pain and dropped the coin back onto her table immediately, half-expecting the table to catch on fire, but it did not. The zebra glanced at her hand, to see what damage had been done, and discovered the strange mark, she looked back down at the coin, the branding on her skin did not match the coin. "Dis is most ood..." she said, rubbing the mark gently before going to get one of her concoctions that provided pain relief. She wasn't going to touch the coin again for now.

Several days later, Zecora was laboring over a brew in her marvelous new copper pot when she saw smoke growing on the other side of the room. Zecora looked down at her pot, confused that the smoke was over there instead of over here, "I did not do dis...?" she sighed and went over to investigate the smoke before she might burn down the whole tree. "Dat coin... dis is mo' trouble den it is worth!" she exclaimed. Zecora had been about to reach for some water when she noticed the smoke was doing odd 'tings'.

Zecora narrowed her eyes... this was some strange sort of craft... Zecora saw the eyes. "Well hello dere little..." Zecora was cut off by the blow to her gut. She instinctively crossed her hands over her gut to hold herself. Looking at the smoke she saw the glowing claw marks, Zecora lifted her arms just enough to peak at what must be a gaping wound, only to find... nothing? What strange witchcraft was this?

The growing warmth from the little coin had been welcome at first. Tanyth had delighted in the discovery of this portable heater, keeping it tucked away out of sight within the bosom of her bodice.

There was a difference between 'warm' and 'hot', however.

When the little disc had started crossing from one to the other, she had removed it in a hurry, setting it aside to study. The next time she tried to pick it up, she did so with a curse, flinging it across the room. "Blasted coin!" she hissed, shaking her burnt hand in the air to cool it, while glaring death at the red coin on the floor. It had hit the wall and fallen. It could just lay there for all she cared.

The days passed and Tanyth mostly kept her distance from the coin. Once or twice she tried to use another object (a fork, a couple of spoons, even a fireplace poker) to move the coin. All she ended up doing was shoving it in the corner out of the way so she wouldn't step on it and burn herself again. One of these days, she told herself, she'd have to get rid of the damn thing.

Apparently, she waited too long for that. She had just been noting that her hand had healed, the strange symbol that had burned there was fading away. Perhaps she should have been more concerned about that, but she hadn't compared the symbol on her hand to the one on the coin previously. She just assumed that it had burned her and that was that. But, when the stupid coin started filling the room with smoke...now, she had a problem.

"Now the accursed thing is on fire?!?" she snapped in disbelief. The shiny red surface had, at first, made her think it was some type of jewel, but study had shown it to be a metal coin instead. But could metal burn? It certainly was now...

She was just on her way to get a pail of water to douse the thing when the room was lit by a sudden, blinding flash. Instinct had her arm shielding her eyes from the light, but it was soon swallowed by the dark smoke. When she turned back to the fiery coin, she instead met the gaze of three glowing eyes staring back from within the smoke.

Searing pain ripped through her stomach and she doubled over, half in shock. She'd perceived no threat before the attack; now it was as if instinct kicked into high gear. She had wrapped her arms around her injured middle section, now slowly moving them to see the damage. Her bodice had been torn to shreds...but despite the earlier pain, there wasn't a mark on her skin.

Pain and confusion fueled aggression, and she turned a hate-filled glare on the glowing eyes and claw marks in the smoke, the only thing she could see to focus on. She hissed in warning, fangs bared and arms raising before her, while her tail lashed sharply from side to side.

"Oh, now you've done it..."

Dear heavens Prisma... What have you summoned?!

The claw marks in the smoke glowed brighter as the smoke faded away to reveal a tall, furry Pae'il with wild hair and a very long tail. The source of the scratch was obvious when you catch a glimpse of the claws on this guy.

He quickly grabs your burned hand, and puts it flat against the bleeding claw marks. (This completes the bonding.)

((Congratulations, Prisma has summoned a demon Pae'il known as a Rakshasha to Telrunya. It is currently unknown where exactly they come from, and they won't tell either. They are creatures of shadows, traveling swiftly among them. They do not have wings, as they do not need them. They have a third eye that allows them to see the spirit world. They can only be summoned to somepae they have bonded with, which is the mark they left on your pae's hand. It is also a protective bond for the summoner because the Rakshasha cannot harm their bonded without taking the damage upon themselves.

After her ordeal in the forest, Miela had taken a few days just to rest and recuperate. But she did want to plant those cuttings she'd taken before they wilted completely. So, prepared to go out to the garden she'd secured for herself, she opens her basket for the first time since she'd been home. Lying on top of everything is the crimson coin she'd chased down. Huh. She'd completely forgotten about it.

She doesn't remember it being....kinda glowy, though...you'd think she'd have noticed that in the darkened rooms she'd been in. Curious, she picks it up, tossing it and catching it in her hand.

And she immediately drops it with a yelp. She hadn't remembered it being hot, either! Frowning at it, she sucks on the burned part of her palm. This change is strange and unsettling...Miela's not sure she likes it. She looks at her palm, throbbing and red and....marked with a rune? She peers at the surface of the coin. Odd, the coin had a face on it, but this was definitely some kind of rune. Definitely freaked out now, Miela puts an overturned bowl on top of the coin. She wraps her hand in some linen bandages, and heads out to the garden anyway.

When she comes in for the evening, her cheeks and shoulders pinkened from the sun, she eyes the bowl with some trepidation. Should she try to pick it up again? She crouches down and peeks under the bowl. The coin's still glowing. "Nope," she says, shaking her head and letting the bowl drop back over it. She dresses for bed and unwraps her hand. Let it get some air, then wrap it again in the morning. It's still sore, probably made worse by her use of gardening tools all day.

The next morning, Miela wakes up and rolls toward the outside of her bed. Her eyes pop open as she sees dark smoke emitting from underneath the bowl. "Oh dear," she says worriedly, climbing out of bed and kneeling on the floor next to the bowl. With no small amount of trepidation, she peeks under the bowl again. The face on the coin is gone, and instead there's a hole in the middle. Just as she's about to find some water to drop the obviously-smouldering coin into, it explodes in a flash of white light. She shrieks and jumps back, the bowl toppling over beside the coin. Her small apartment fills with dark smoke, but she's able to make out a vague shape. A...another Pae?

She can see eyes glowing through the smoke. Three of them? That is definitely not normal. "H-hello?" she asks.

Then there'd been a strike. Quick as a flash of light, the other lashes out and strikes her abdomen with searing claws. Miela hisses with pain and clutches her stomach. What had she unleashed?

Lisandru was glad to be alone.

Sure, Prisma was ... nice ... but getting to be by himself in his house in the City seemed like a Guardians-be-damned paradise after the nonsense of attempting to survive by himself with a hyperactive woman in, well, a so-called paradise. They had figured things out, sure, but Lisandru could barely wait to be away from it all.

The coin, and everything else he brought back, had been all but completely forgotten when he entered his home and buried his face into the pillows of his bed. It was so nice to be home. It wasn't until a while later when he noticed that there was a warmth on the table where he had set the coin and the other debris he had brought back with him. Did he leave a fire bundle there or something?

... Wait, was that--

Lisandru yelped and dropped down the coin, but it wasn't before there was a strange insignia left on his palm.

He went to the water but he couldn't get the damn thing off no matter how hard he scrubbed ... so he just ignored it. There was little he could do about it, and it wasn't like he didn't just wear gloves most of the time anyway. Maybe he should have never picked up that weird coin. It had looked fairly innocuous...

After a few more days where he left the thought alone, he noticed that there was a weird ... smoke where he had ungracefully dropped the coin. What in the--

"OW!"

That was horrible! Frustrated, Lisandru curled away from the strike, an instinctive flight response, and called for his Wild Soul to join him from where they had been basking in front of the fire. There was an embittered groan at being summoned, but they slithered across the ground, making their way to Lisandru faster than he was able to get away from whatever there was staring at him.

"What in the Guardians' names is this?!"

The snake hissed softly, before pausing, squinting his eyes.

"Not sure," he offered, honestly sounding a bit ... confused.

"Well, get it to stop goring me!"

"You're fine." Without missing a beat, he added, "Baby."

Lisandru grumbled something about disinfectants and needing to stop the bleeding--though he saw none--and maybe kick this three-eyed monstrosity somewhere else.

User ImageOnce Ruze had gotten home from the most adventurous vacation of her life, she'd gone to bed and slept for days. At least it felt like days. She'd finally woken up because some kind of light had become impossible to ignore, even in her sleep. She popped her head up and squinted at it, trying to remember what it was. Oh yeah. That coin thing. What in the world was it doing? She grabbed for it and yelped at the burning sensation on her palm, immediately pulling her hand back. "The hell!?" she exclaimed and sat up, looking at the burn.

Tizzy sat up then and slithered over Ruze's lap. The Pae scooped her Wild Soul up over her shoulders and went to clean the burn, then went about her business for the rest of the day. Which was mostly just cleaning her home. She didn't even notice the smoke at first, not until Tizzy mentioned something seeping out of the bedroom door.

"What in the world..." Ruze opened the door on the smoke, eyes widening when it started to move on its own, forming something vaguely Pae-shaped. And then suddenly it had three eyes. Wait. Three eyes?? She moved closer, then suddenly there was a searing pain on her stomach. She gasped and looked down to see what the damage was....and there was nothing there? What the hell was going on?

The claw marks in the smoke glowed brighter as the smoke faded away to reveal a tall, furry Pae'il with a little wild hair and a very long tail. The source of the scratch was obvious when you catch a glimpse of the claws on this guy.

He quickly grabs your burned hand, and puts it flat against the bleeding claw marks. (This completes the bonding.)

"You summoned me?"

((Congratulations, Lisandru has summoned a demon Pae'il known as a Rakshasha to Telrunya.

More information will be added to the Demon Info thread at the completion of this NOTICE, when everyone has successfully summoned.

Please send a name for your new Rakshasha to Guardian_Iris.

p.s. You don't have to reply this post. ))
