Sighing, Ainsley hurried along, a good portion of his cloak wrapped around his head and neck to keep as much of the air and sand out of his face as possible. Quan had ordered him to make a delivery of some kind, knowing full well that the blonde absolutely hated Ayr because of all the wind, so Ainsley was dutifully carrying the questionable pouch inside his own pack as he hurried along the rocks. Honestly, he could only hope to not run into anything unpleasant along the way. In his younger years he'd fared rather well against the various creatures that called the rocks on Ayr their home, but right now he simply wasn't in the mood.
"Even if I could fly, I'd probably just get swept off the continent with all this wind," the teen muttered as he went, huddled up in his clothing and looking very much like a suspicious character. No one was around to notice though, so he didn't really care what he looked like. What mattered was that he had no dirt in his eyes so he could see in case anything decided to look at him as some kind of a meal.
As he cleared a rather high rock formation however, he caught sight of a nest just a way's away. A conversation he'd overheard as he was venturing through a market on Serenia came to mind. It was talk of taming or something along those lines, and, as with all things new, the boy was curious. He ventured a bit closer and saw a few eggs laying quietly in the nest, its parents nowhere in sight. It was actually situated on a ledge that, if one should fall off, would surely lead to his death if he was so unlucky. It wasn't all that far away anymore, and Ainsley was rather confident in his balancing ability, so after making a quick decision the teen headed over and inspected the various eggs that were simply resting quietly inside.
"If I were a dragon this would kind of look like a smorgasbord..." he said with a smirk, then quickly picked a random egg and hurried off. Or tried to, anyway. Within several seconds he could hear the screeching of something from a relatively far off distance, so without even giving it a second thought the teen put the egg back and ran off as fast as he could.
Call him a coward, but Ayr was enough trouble with just the wind. He didn't need any kind of bird or dragon or giant spider or basically anything to make his time on the continent any more unpleasant.
