Target: Soudulian Hastar Bonuses: +5 to capture
79+5 = 84 Success!
It has been at the back of his mind for a while, but seeing that he has the free time at his hand he thought it was about time to venture out into the Forests of Endeldarth. He wanted to try his hand at capturing a Hastar for the purpose of mobile and carrying things for him whenever he travels. Vilzun is good though, but he gets tired immediately whenever he has a lot to carry on his back and simply wants to roll over and sleep. That's not really helpful at all. This is why that Vilzun is back at home instead of being with him in the forest when hunting for the Hastar herding together. The drakein will try anything to get his teeth sink into them for they probably look tasty to him. Even a rock looks delicious to that crazy butterball of a Keindred.
It was more like his dragon hunts in a way really as he held the rope in his hand tightly to lasso one. The moment when he saw the herd, he crouched down in hiding so he won't spook them as he prepared the rope to try and capture one of them. One Hastar seemed to be much closer than the others which is his prime target. A grin stretched across his lips as he spin the rope in the air and tossed it right toward to the Hastar. It looped around the head and he pulled it rightly as it ringed around his neck which was a successful capture! The creature cried out in shock and the others have skittered away leaving the one thrashing about. "Shhh! Calm yaself down . . ." Eku said as he appeared out of his hiding spot and slowly moved up to the wild creature in hopes to calm it down to tame it without getting kicked in the face.

Target: Soudulian Hastar Bonuses: +15 to tame
27 + 15 = 42 (fail)
This beast was too much for him! It was highly spooked from being captured so suddenly like this that it was pulling at the rope in hopes to be free from whatever it was. It was starting to thrash around in his grasp that the rope was starting to burn in his hands. Eku didn't want to give up on his chance on capturing it now that he has it right in his hands! The Hastar though was starting whine and cry out in sheer agony and pain that it was making the mage feel a sharp pain in his chest of what he was doing to this creature. He was really hurting a gentle creature which it didn't feel right at all. Without getting the chance to actually tame it, he grabbed a knife from his bag and he slowly moved closer to it as quietly as he can without scaring it even more that what it's feeling now.
From time to time he stopped moving forward until he saw the thrashing lessened. It was getting tired from wasting its energy like this. Once the Hastar has stopped, he quickly took the chance and cut the rope around it's neck free and the creature moved away from him. It shook his head to get the painful feeling free from around his neck and it galloped away to catch up with it's friends and family leaving the poor Oblivionite to himself to sigh. "Dis be somethin' harder than I thought . . ." He said to himself as he coiled up the cut rope and tries to think of another way to make it more successful of taming these Hastar. It'll be some time but he's willing to try one way or another. It'll be a big help for him of what he has plans later on.
