This was a new approach to patrolling. It was noon. In broad day-light, sitting in a little wrought-iron chair with a charming matching table and white linen, sipping tea, a little tray of tiny sandwiches brought to her by a charming waitress who eyes her frilly dress with a look that said she appreciated the style.
And considering were she worked, it made sense. Considering the establishment, the young Lieutenant didn't even look to terribly out of place, as she watched the people strolling the streets, getting their early Christmas shopping done, or preparing for the swiftly approaching Thanksgiving day weekend,
Sitting outside the teashop, a small plush teddybear sitting beside her one of the two other chairs that circled the little table, she almost looked like one of those living advertisements establishments often hired. Only hers was much more elegant then being dressed up like a hotdog or a chicken, she was like a children's doll, set up for a tea party.
All the while she cast her senses out for anything unusual, Aura's, any residual, lingering, shades, that she wasn't entirely convinced were gone forever, even though the sun was back. Anything of interest.

Delilah was not initially in uniform, but when she passed the cafe window, she paused and stared at the girl sitting there - and she got curious. She knew people wore lolita in public, but something about that particular outfit seemed off to her. Maybe it was the blatant black and white contrast, or the teddy bear, but she was curious.
So she ducked into an alley and powered up, and sure enough, there it was, another Lieutenant's signature. Well well well, that was interesting. Erythrite dismissed her paper fans - no need for those - and walked to the teashop, taking a seat at the table and smiling charmingly. "Afternoon, Lieutenant," she greeted cheerily. "You're out early."

Teallite was setting down her teacup, reaching for one of the delicate little triangular sandwiches, when she suddenly was aware of another Chaos signature flaring to life in close vicinity, making her hand paused above the table. She wondered if maybe that was someone powering up, or if that was what it felt like when someone reported into the area close by.
She set sandwich on her little plate, wiping her fingers delicately on a white napkin. The little bell above the door rang, a happy little chime as someone else entered. Teallite tilted her head look over her shoulder, watching the other young woman, clad in a delicious shade of plum, make her way over.
The Blonde couldn't help but smile back. " And Afternoon to you. Glad to see someone else decided to wear a tie today " She said with a smile, picking up and sipping her tea as a waitress unobtrusively put a plate, teacup, and saucer in front of the purple haired girl, which as the waitress walked away with a smile, Teallite filled.
" It was such a nice day, I didn't feel the need to wait until later to start enjoying it. " She grinned at the other girl " I am Teallite. "

Erythrite flashed a smile at the waitress, giving her a little wave. It was her mission in life to charm everyone she met at least a little, one way or another. "Do you mind?" She asked the other Lieutenant, gesturing to the sandwiches. She took a moment to remove her spiked bracelet and her gloves, so her fingers would be bare for eating and drinking.
"The ties really pull these all together, don't they?" She laughed, and she glanced over. "Erythrite," she said, and then she reached out to pat the teddy. "I assume that's your little present from Chaos?" She asked, summoning one of her fans back and setting it down on the table. "I like it a bit better than mine."

" Not at all " She said as Erythrite motioned to the sandwiches, setting the pot of tea back down and settling back into her chair, crossing her legs demurely, picking up her own cup and sipping thoughtfully, studying the other Lieutenant. this meeting as considerably more pleasant then the last time she met up with one of her comrades. Though she did have to admit they were in a much more pleasant location.
" Ah yes, but at least we can pull them off. " Teallite also found it highly amusing that she had only ever met female agents who wore ties..
Her lip quirked into a rueful smile as the teddy bear was patted " Indeed, that would be the one. Though I will admit he is mighty useless when it comes to what his supposed purpose is. I would trade you but I have a suspicion that that is not how it works. " She said, shaking her head with a small laugh. " Might I ask what yours is? " She couldnt pick out anything off of her person that particularly stood out, but she had to guess that it was probably more useful then a velvety teddy bear that squeaked whenever you hit something with it.

Erythrite took a sandwich and took a bite, and made a quiet noise of delight when she found they were delicious. She'd have to come back in civvies with Serenity - this place would make for a lovely romantic date. "I think my girlfriend will like this place," she commented, as she set down the sandwich to take a sip of her tea.
"Ah, at least you can hit someone with that," she said, and she held up her fan, opening it. "I have these. I'm praying it gets sharper," she said, laughing. "If it's not too personal, can I ask who it was that introduced you to our organization?"

Teallite smiled at the other girl's pleasure. It wasn't often she found others anywhere near her age who would enjoy this place. Mostly it was tourists of middle age of local little old ladies who probably knitted half the lace doilies in the cafe, and it put the normally more reserved girl at ease.
" If you bring her I definitely recommend the Tiramisu, its one of the best I have ever had " she said conversationally, picking up and taking a bite of her own sandwich.
" Ah yes... technically I can. But it squeaks. Quite Mortifying " She said, setting her sandwich down and wiping her fingertips again before picking up her bear. Holding it at arms height over the third chair she dropped it, plopping it into the chair with a squeak that was in no way at all covered by the background noise of the cafe.
A couple of the waitresses giggled and smiled indulgently, going about their business. Thinking that this was only what it appeared to be on the surface, two friends with peculiar fashion sense visiting a very peculiar establishment. Teallite eyed the other girls fans " They are rather lovely though. " And she could only imagine what sort of damage a sharpened fan could do, but it sounded very effective. Unless her bear became sentient and started eating people, Teallite could not even fathom what use her teddy would be.
" Oh not at all. That would be Ilmenite. " She said the name with obvious affection. She may not have felt that way promptly after being awoken, but he had saved her a** a couple of times, and he did seem to keep an eye out for her, and it was something she was very grateful for. " you? "

Erythrite knew it was probably unusual, especially given her normal personality, that she would like a cute little teashop, but she loved cute quiet places and she was pretty sure Serenity would like it too.
"I'll definitely keep that in mind," she said, and then she took another sip of tea. "I wouldn't mind meeting you here in civvies sometime, if that's your style." She laughed lightly.
She had to stifle a much louder giggle at the bear's squeak. "Oh god, that is mortifying, I'd hate to have that happen in a fight." She could only imagine hitting a Senshi and having one's weapon go squeak.
"The same, actually." She said, her eyebrows flying up for a moment. She wondered if it was a coincidence that the General had brought in two ladies with similar uniforms and similarly delicate, ladylike weapons. "He picked me up in a bar, if you'll believe. Won me over by buying me a drink called a Jezebel." Perhaps some girls would've taken it as an insult, but to Erythrite it was just hilarious. "He's a good man."

Teallite thought about it for a moment " I would like that, actually. " She didnt have many friends in her every day life. Most of her aquantances were much older then her, either patrons of the bed & breakfast, the side antique business of the establishment, or the joggers/runners she knew. She didnt bond well with most people her own age, and didnt seem to have to much in common so things got awkward and chilly quickly.
But the two girls already had something rather impressive in common, so the notion was not unappealing.
" Sugar, you have noooo idea ' an exasperated but amused sigh escaped the girl. " My very first encounter ever with the other side, was with a senshi. She could make you float, of all things. Somehow we both ended up floating, and I hit her, and it squeaked. Apparently a lovely side effect for that particular foe is you are still subject to outside forces while floating. So me hitting her caused me to spin uncontrollably, with a squeaking teddy bear. Sparkling. Like some sort of living sparkler firework. "
She spoke in an almost dry tone, a grin on her face, as if she were speaking of the weather, not a deeply embarrassing and failed battle.
Teallite quirked an eyebrow " A bar, really? He picked me up in a second hand shop. Right between the T-shirts and Blankest " She held out her hands, fingers ridged ( Like karate chop hands ) to signify isles. " And he didn't win me over so much as appear out of nowhere and start jabbing his hands into places. " She picked up her tea and sipped. Needless to say she wasn't very fond of him then. Much more so now.
" He is though. Without him I would be dead by now. " Her voice was somber, a mental image of a shades hands wrapping around her neck was still very vivid in her mind.

"We'll have to make plans then," Erythrite said. She had no reservations about sharing her civilian identity. If she couldn't trust a fellow officer, especially someone recruited by the same General as her, who could she be expected to trust? No one, obviously.
She finished her sandwich, wrinkling her nose at Teallite's description of her first battle. "That sounds awful. You were unlucky enough to meet the Senshi of faith, trust, and pixie dust, hm?" Her voice was dry as dead leaves. Senshi were ridiculous and annoying, and their magic even more so. "My first fight was against a girl with poison magic. She was cute, I kind of regret having to fight her." She sighed a little. Fighting was always regrettable.
She frowned a little at Teallite's description of her recruitment, as well. "That's a little heavy-handed. Was something else going on?" She asked. Certainly once she'd met him in the back alley behind the bar, Ilmenite hadn't exactly given her much choice, but he'd talked her around first. "I'm glad you're happy and safe with us, though."

" If you have a particular time and place, just let me know. I can make it work. " One of the great things about working for a family business if she needed time off for a personal errand, even a fun one, she could make it happen.
" It would seem so. She literally just poped out of the bushes like a possum and started spewing a self righteous monolog at me and attacked. " She frowned a little bit in distaste. She take well to be treated like a criminal, let alone when she was literally going for a leisurely stroll simply getting used to the feeling of being powered up, maybe try and test out some of this new found strength Ilmenite had assured her she had. And the senshi had called her a deviant.
" Fighting is unfortunate, but sometimes it cant be avoided. " She said, her voice not sounding particularly sad, but understanding.
" You know, I asked him about that and he wouldn't give me a straight answer. " She was grateful for Ilmenite giving her the ability to protect herself and those she loves from the Senshi menace, but he was always very circumvent when she asked him why he had chosen her. It had just seemed really random. Like; Today, Ill go pick up some eggs at the store, drop off the dry cleaning, pickup a new shirt, recruit a random girl into my secret military organization, go to the post office...
" As far as I know nothing else was going on. I was just minding my own business. But maybe it was something that as a civilian I had no idea about... who knows. The whole event was a little traumatic and happened rather quickly. " She gave a small shrug " I figure if its something I need to know, he wouldn't keep it a secret."
She smiled at Erythrite, a true smile, something she didn't do to terribly often, and it made her look younger then she really was. " Thank you, I am to " And she really was. She never wanted to be ignorant about the truth of the world around her ever again.

Erythrite shrugged her shoulders and beckoned over one of the waitstaff, requesting a pen and something to write with. The implements were handed over, she thanked the young lady, and then she wrote down her civilian name and phone number, passing it to Teallite.
"My name is Delilah Masters, when I'm not Erythrite," she said, "and that is my contact information. I think it would be very worthwhile for us to meet again - even if it's only to have a cup of tea as civilians." She laughed softly. "Or to discuss strategies in dealing with irritating little Senshi menaces."
She took a short sip of her tea, finishing the cup, and then set it back on the table. "It really has been lovely meeting you - and finding this place, I might never have known otherwise."

Teallite only hesitated for a moment, If she couldn't trust a fellow Lieutenant of the Negaverse, one of her comrades, then who could she trust? " That sounds like a Wonder full Idea. " Teallite drained the last of her tea from the delicate tea cup and set it back on its saucer, using the pen that Erythrite has borrowed to write her own information on the lower half of the piece of paper, then carefully ripping the two sections apart.
" When I am not Teallite, my name is Leora Healy. That's my cell phone number. If I don't answer feel free to leave a message, it probably just means I am in class or at work. But I check it all the time. " As if on cue her cell phone buzzed, alerting her of a new text message. She tried to keep it with her even when she was powered... She glanced at it for a moment, trying her hardest not to grin at the text from James, her sweetheart, who also happened to be her regular patrolling partner.
" It would be nice to have another allie that I can depend on " She paused, and smile again " Even if it is just to hang out and enjoy a good beverage. " She pulled out a bill and put it on the table to pay for the girls tea, sandwiches, cover the tip. " It really was a pleasure to meet you " She scooped up Ery's contact information and slipped it into the pocket of her jacket. " I'll give you a call sometime soon, and we will meet up again. Please enjoy the rest of the tea, and sandwiches, they are on me. I must be going now, but I look forward to meeting you again " She picked up one of the little wedges of sandwiches, leaving the last one for Ery.
She walked out of the tea shop, feeling a little more light of heart then she had in a long time. She felt rather at ease around Delilah, more so then she usually did around people her own age, let alone females. She didn't want to get her hopes up but she had a feeling she might have found a legitimate friend in the other young lieutenant. That thought was as intruigeing as it was befuddeling, but someone she could just sit and enjoy a cup of tea with and converse while feeling completely at ease was something she didnt come across often.
And it was... well it was nice.
