Waasi paced his small den, growling quietly to himself as he did so. This was insane. He had been the leader of the warriors in his pack before being abducted by those horrible females, and now he was alone, with no pack, with no friends, with literally no one but himself and his deceased meals. It was tough, and he hadn't realized it until he'd been on his own for nearly a year. He really needed to find some place to call home. Even in the old pack he'd escaped, he had been around other slaves all the time to combat the lonely feelings. Now...there was no one. He snorted to himself for being so melodramatic and moved out of his den to go hunt. He needed something to eat, as he had gone the past few days on mice and carrion alone. He needed something big, fresh, and preferably still breathing at the moment. Licking his lips, he took a deep breath of air to try to scent any herds nearby.

The night was ripe. She'd usually not ever have to do her own killings but this time she was lacking the companionship she always had around. Either a passerbyer or a simpleton. Anyone she could manipulate, tonight wasn't the case. It'd been almost a month since she had ran with another being. It was getting to her, but at the same time. It was 'freedom'. Waking up to an unfamiliar face to tend to, or having to use her brain power to find ways to manipulate, it took work! But she was oh, so good at it. Her ears went back as she felt the wind blow between them. It was simple now. Not having to remember a name or notice 'how they feel' and fake concern.
She had time to herself, and absorbed with the fact that she could do things her way without faking a god-forsaken thing. Always being pampered, now she could feel the lush nature under her paws, she loved it. Even the wicked needed rest.
The herds not to far from her, had found refuge for the night. So did she, next to them. Walking among them as the shadow stealth assassin of her breed. Most of the herd of zebra were asleep. But between the shadows and just about ready to pounce, she was struck with having to stick close to the ground. A sound echoed throughout and it had made a few zebra wake, but barely. Then Mongra made her move and pounced- turned and pulled at a zabra's next and the herd erupted in to a stampede. The night had them cloaked to visibility of their attacker and they ran wild while Mongra sat there in the shadows not too far off with a chunk of a throat hanging from her maw. Which she ate, and started to lick her paws and clean herself off. Never losing sight of her victim as the rest went wild in opposite directions.
They could definitely cause some damage. If she were under them. Wagging her tail as the dust/sand and dirt started to settle from the histaria. One zebra remained.. It had ran quite a distance, and now it was alone.. Bleeding out as it tried to escape the inevitable. Mongra slowly lifted her body and started to follow it. Watching it suffer. Then finally, it fell to it's knees after what seemed like Mongra had been following it for forever. Then, it fell over. Barely being able to breath and Mongra, like the sadistic being she was sat right in front of it. "You are... a brave one. Strong... You'll be happy to know that your bones will be most prized for your strength and endurance. I grew almost a feeling for your suffering..almost." Sounding almost happy about it as she lifted the hoove of the zebra which had almost lost all of it's lifesource to keep it alive.
Then finally went it died- she started to separate the limbs. This was so she could hide them in different parts so that other predators wouldn't completely steal all the food she had just obtained. Instead, she dragged it along for a few til there was some large rock covering her back. A smirk on her face as she hummed and got to work. The echos of bones snapping out of place, she'd never of course- break a bone. She was fascinated by them so her utter care went in to being gentle yet rough enough to get the job done. Another night on her own til the sound of rustling made her lift a brow and stop her in her tracks.
"Hmmm...?"
Her deep red eyes lifted to the path of the sound.. It was the zebra's blood that could've called someone over. Or, the white of it's body. With the night's blanket over them, she at least had some time to react if there was a threat or maybe it was something more... She was a lot more than what she looked like, and she waited in anticipation for her entertainment to arrive... by the smell. It was a predator.

It didn't take too long for Waasi to find food. Unfortunately, the food was moving very quickly in his direction. He had felt the ground tremble before he saw anything, thanks to the darkness, but he managed to climb up a little embankment by a river as the zebra thundered past. Carried on the wind they created with the smell of fear and blood. Someone had been injured. Curious, once they passed, Waasi followed the trampled grass. He found the scent getting stronger as a light breeze picked up, and with the blood was another scent. Another hynea, alone, and a female. His ears pressed against his head and he narrowed his eyes, growling quietly to himself. Wonderful. He made sure to stay downwind as long as he could, finding the female with her feast just as the wind turned. He held his ground as he watched her lift her head and sniff the air. She knew he was there. The night made his pale coat rather stark in the moonlight, his pale markings standing out better now than in the daytime when the sun blinded any who looked at him. There was an advantage to being so pale. Keeping his steps measured and his hackles raised, he approached the female with teeth bared. "You'd do well to grab a leg and run off," he said, his voice low and dangerous. "I'll be taking the rest off your paws." He had no problems getting into a fight for the food, and although he was smaller than the female, as was typical for their breed, he knew he could fight with the intensity to match his weight disadvantage.

It was no surprise that it was one of her own kind. Unlike other females that showed off brute strength and independance while she, on the other hand was more... Well. Not. She looked at him with a snicker as she showed his all mighty self to her. Others like her gender would laugh at him. It was laughable- which she couldn't help but crack an exhausted like chuckle at his facade. "Ah, I see a mighty one.." Laughed like her kind did quite often, but hers was light as if exhausted with entertaining others and just did it for her own self. Then her eyes patted softly towards his. A mysterious aura surrounding her. "You could have asked~ handsome. I would have given it freely. Afterall- what is my strength compared to yours." Fairly, if not she could definately out strength him, but for being an average size, even slightly like a male in stature, she lowered her body so she looked 'beneath him'. All apart of the game and act she played.
"No need for hostility." Taking a leg for herself and pushing over the rest laid herself down to 'feast'- after she checked the bone out. Tearing and pulling the meat off so she could examine for bone. Zeroing in on it. "On second thought~ for my efforts, if you wish for it all- I can give it to you... But I will need something in return. Or- fear what wrath their is behind my words." Her voice carried in a tune of haunting...Her ears went back, and her red eyes slitted to him.
"I need her bones. Come now~ I know you can spare that much~~" A hint of greed and lush lust.

Waasi held his ground as the female laughed. It was a tired laugh, though, not one of maliciousness or anger. He kept his head and tail high to assert himself, and when she lowered herself he knew he had won. Silly females...all alike. He fell upon the food she pushed towards him, not taking his light blue eyes off her darker red ones. Her words were teasing in a way, but also laced with a bit of danger that made him stay on edge. The food silenced his stomach and he devoured as much as he could, even while the female examined the bones of the leg she had kept for herself. Lifting his head, his white fur now stained red, he let his teeth show. "That's rather presumptuous of you to think I owe you anything." Of course, it was rather presumptuous of him to come in and demand the food she had won for himself. Waasi continued to eat, keeping a wary eye on the female, before he slowly began to push the bones her way. If that was all she wanted...well. She'd be a rather easy pet to keep. "What is your name, female?" he asked as he began to clean himself up, the rest of the carcass left for her or the carrion, whoever wanted it. He assumed she'd probably strip the bones of their meat at least. Why she was so fascinated with it he didn't care nor really want to know.

"Oh... but you do...~" The sentence drew out almost mockingly at him. "I mean- to steal- well try to steal then not steal then look silly.. Do you really want to bring up a hassle for bones.. A small request~" A hiss to the end of it as she laughed and rolled over, stretching out her back and rolling against so her stomach laid to the floor. Not ONCE ever leaving eye contact. Unlike he, she didn't have to fear anything. Anyone whom would come after her would surely meet their demise sooner than the later.
She was giving him a choice at least. A tired laugh once more burrowed out of her. "Aren't you testy... think I will come after you." Taking up the leg she had and stripped it of its meat and started fascinatingly clean it. "You can leave them there~ will you- no name." Waving her paw as if HE was now doing something for her whim.

Waasi narrowed his eyes as he listened to the female. Her hissing voice was unnerving, but he didn't let it show. When she failed to answer her question, he reached out his paw to pull the bones back. "No name, then no bones," he said without much of a care in his voice. He settled down and took the femur bone between his powerful jaws and began to chew, little splinters of bone cracking under the tremendous force. If she wouldn't play nice, then he wouldn't either. He licked his lips as a bit of marrow leaked out of the cracks, a satisfied look on his face. "Surely your name is worth these bones," he added. Her fascination with bones might be her weak point - she seemed obsessed with them as it was. Waasi went back to work after that, tilting his head a bit to let his back teeth dig into the bone, slowly crushing the end until a large chunk snapped off. He tossed it aside and began to lick the hollow inside, eating the marrow like the treat it was.

"I know more than you think I know sally~" She chuckled and licked off the bones she had with her- but it wasn't til her started to crack them that she smirked. Her head lifted up, he thinks he has her right where he wants her? This was rich- real rich. Her ears went up and she looked at him with 'oh really' sort of face.
"You know what of what you do- but sure. Be quinted- Mongra. Your selfish name?" She offered mockingly. "Breaking them only makes you ignorant as to why I collect them.. And I don't want to have to collect that from you, it would be tedious, something I am not up for doing today. How about you leave the work there to me. Since you obviously can't do a damn thing yourself. Why not feel gratitude that I was willing to share, to fight with a female- you should know the consequences but what do I know~ Im not like most." Her eyes slitted towards him. But he knew that danger lurked behind her- ally was strong but enemy was worse, maybe even as far as putting a hex. If that was necessary.
Rolling her eyes after licking her bones and shook them in her paw before throwing them in to the circle she had made as they spoke.. "Hmmm.." She looked intently on how the bones were laid as if to diagnosis something or another. Taking her full attention span with it.

Waasi kept his eyes on the female as she moved slightly. She was bigger than him, which wasn't unheard of, and the look in her red eyes let him know that she wouldn't be an easy one to beat. He wouldn't back down, though. He'd been treated like dirt by females for long enough, and it was time to give as good as he'd been given. "Mongra," he repeated, ears flattening against his head for just a moment. Her name. He'd remember that. Names were important if only because they helped you remember who you needed to get revenge on. He waited, though, holding his tongue, not responding to her baited questions. Instead he watched as Mongra tossed the bones into a pile and went to look at them as if they held the answers to the universe. Curiosity killed the cat, but it also killed a dog or two from time to time. "What...can you see the future in those bones?" he asked before continuing to chew on the leg bone. He did push the others aside, though. He couldn't ruin all the bones, and this one was actually pretty tasty.

He didn't give his name, she'd know soon enough though. Nothing escaped her, she softly let her pads rub against the bones. Rolling them around, she sat up in front of them, drew a circle in to the dirt and put a dot where the sun was. Putting the bones in her nap sack and then she dropped all the contents in the bag in the circle. What was collected was feathers, shiny things. An assortment of things that weren't very common. When they fell in a certain way.. she hummed to herself. His question rose her ears. "I can see many things from bones. These are fresh, and the bearer was softhearted. Poor soul." Nodding softly.
"There will be a herd of gazelle coming this way in about two hours...this herd went to the north and are heading to the valley." Are these all things she could tell from her napsacked contents? It couldn't be- how would she know these things? She was more than a reader of bones, but she was also a tracker. An excellent one. She played it off that it was her bones telling her, but to meet the eye- she was a lot more than she gave off and secrets. Oh so many secrets. "Fatigue though will conquer now- the hadn't had anything to drink and will be very weak.." Then she looked up and softly smiled.
"Anyhow.. would you like to give me those bones.. I thank you for eating most of the sickened meat." Oh to see his reaction, why she wanted to share, the part she had taken off was the only meat that she deemed good enough to eat, as the rest rubbed against poison ivy and an infected cut. Oh the things this other male had to learn.. why she would give it up so easily. Pfft. She started to giggle. "Don't worry- shouldn't kill you that quickly.." A preening smile. More humble and genuine.

Waasi lifted a brow in surprise at how confident Mongra's voice was. She seemed completely sure of what she said. Glancing at the bones and odds and ends, he tilted his head this way and that, but he couldn't see any sort of shape representing gazelle, the time, or the direction. She was probably bluffing... Her next words made his head snap up, his ears flat against his head. Sickened meat? He bared his teeth in a snarl, a low growl in his throat. Her smile did nothing to soothe his ruffled nerves and the hair along his back stood on end. "You little-" He cut himself off, though. Waasi took a slow breath and focused on his stomach. Nothing seemed off so far, so if the meat was poisoned or sick in some way, it wasn't anything deadly. Surely he would have tasted it if it was bad. He may be sick later, but he doubted he'd die from it. Picking up the bone, he threw it into the pile of other bones and knickknacks, sending them sprawling out of the neat circle she had drawn, making a very nice mess. "My name is Waasi," he growled as the bones and trinkets stopped their clattering. "And you will come to despise that name." Chi Sohma I think we can wrap this up in the next post or two~

When he started to stare and try to see what was going to happen.. Of course, the non believers.. Thats why she was a bone reader. Things weren't always what they seemed and her secret was still safe with her. A preening smile as he was given the sickened meat. Oh it was just something minor- the meat was fresh! Which she started to laugh about hilariously. Rolling on her butt as she laughed with the utmost cheerful sense as she watched him throw the bones her way. She gathered her trinkets up in her napsack, and flipped it around to have things stuck on to it. Leafs of many kinds.
She trotted up to him, With a devilish flare of darkness, trickery- everything a hyena represented. "I'm sure I will." As she handed him the pair of leafs. "This will take the future pain away. I have a feeling you may now want to start tracking those gazelle though.. We will need them when you are fatigue and sickly, you'll be mighty more hungry than you are now~" Winking at him with those ruby eyes.., and turned and trotted off in their direction.

Waasi kept his distrusting gaze leveled at Mongra, blue eyes staring into red ones without flinching. His stomach did give an odd gurgle, but there was no pain as of yet. He looked at the leaves dubiously, but did take them. He didn't eat them, though, instead holding them lightly in his mouth between his teeth so his saliva wouldn't let the oils get into his mouth. He wasn't sure the leaves would help him, after all. They might be the thing that made him sick. He followed the female after a bit of internal struggle. Waasi knew this would only lead to trouble, but he wanted to be the one to cause that trouble. Wait and make sure this meat wasn't going to be an issue, then continue his attempt on making her life miserable. Let her think she was in charge, then strike. It was all a waiting game, and if Waasi was one thing, it was patient. Chi Sohma Last post from me! Waasi needs two more RPs but I can bang at least one of them out, if not both. If you wanna do another RP just PM me!
