Sometimes, I make "rattles" for my cats. I take a paper towel/toilet paper tube, the empty cardboard cylinder that the paper wraps around?
And I Glue the ends shut with some paper, after inserting something cat-safe, such as a few pieces of kibble they don't like, or even a few bouncy balls. I use very little glue, since my kitties are bad and sometimes try to eat paper! gonk
But these toys are inexpensive and work well for any cat that likes rolling things with their paws.
