Amarus stood in front of her seat at the diamond table. It had been set up on the campus lawn, along with a rectangular table as if they were going to have a banquet set up in front of it. She had in front of her a stack of papers and two very heavy, unpleasant books. But it was worth it. Well, in all fairness, she had had someone read her the books and prod her every time she nearly fell asleep.
It was possibly one of her other Aegis founders.
She wore her club jacket over her regular clothes, not that she was trying to keep warm or anything. She felt faintly elated for the first meeting of their new club, and she was even more elated by the near future prospects.
Set in front of each place at the tables was a sheet of paper on which the agenda had been printed, along with a row of the names of the official members so far.
▀▄▄▀▀▄▄ agᴇnda ▄▄▀▀▄▄▀ 01__ Welcome; motto. 02__ Training schedules. 03__ The Cave - For power, glory, wealth! 04__ Closing minutes.
[[OOC: It is not in the agenda, but if everyone is fine with it, we are going to undergo the Curse prompt during the second half of the meeting; "As your character is walking around the school campus areas minding their own business, they suddenly hear a low screech and then everything goes black.
When they wake up, they realize their arm has been branded with a curse resembling a sort of human shaped thing with a heart inside it. Two helpful DETH advocates run over and apprehend your character. You have been cursed! If you do not hug at least seven other citizens before the day is up, you will explode in a shower of sparkles never to return to the Fear plane ever again! :2spooky: "]]

Raleigh had worn his own club jacket as he took a seat next to Amarus. He felt like he belonged in this seat since his name card was placed there. He looked to see a paper with the agenda for what was going to be discussed. "Looking spiffy in the jacket of yours, Amarus." He said as he gave her a light punch in the arm. This seemed to be his greeting to the lotus eater since it showed that they were good friends. "Are we expecting the other members as well?" He asked as he noticed the other name cards.
Rosy floats along the path heading towards the diamond table, a small smile on her face as she saw the other two member. She two wore her jacket over her clothing, having decided to wear jeans instead of a skirt today. With her hands stuffed into her pockets, she gives a nod in greetings to them both before she stood behind a chair "I hope I'm not late, I couldn't convince Yurei she had to stay home this one time." she couldn't believe how upset the vasiel got at her for not bringing her along.
Pulling one hand free, she glance around before she arch a brow "Is it us three, or one more creature joining us?" she was curious as this would be the first time she got to see everyone in the same place.

No worries, sug; glad you could join us! <3
Though Amarus was happy to be punched in the arm as a greeting, she instead reached out and gripped Raleigh's shoulder to welcome him; it was tight enough that it would be closer to the painful side than the comforting side, but wasn't that the nature of her? She smiled, however briefly, and returned the compliment: "I have to say, I think yours is quite becoming of you, as well," she said.
Amarus tilted her head, bells ringing, as he pointed to member cards, and she flicked one of them over with one finger. "We are waiting for-- ah, there is one of our team," she said. "Rosy, you are welcome to bring... Yurei, whoever that is, should you so desire in the future."Malachi was curled up at Amarus' feet, the instant she sat herself down. In a manner of speaking. The Aegis Animus founder was, in fact, basically perched on her chair, one leg folded up and tucked against her chest. Good thing she wore shorts under her robe.
"We have one other, yes. He is a good friend of mine, I am sure together we will strike fear into just about anyone and everything," she joked.

Having things to do one frost demon was fashionably late, though the two ghouls present at the meeting would likely not be surprised. Making his entrance from the side Siku trailed towards the two tables, wondering what the larger rectangle one happened to be for. His hands rest in the pockets of the jacket he was wearing, though it wasn't the most pleasant thing it was at least not a huge eyesore, plus it did accent his semi-muscular arms.
Or so he thought.
With a raise of his brows Siku called out as he closed in on the small group, eyes on Amarus since he was more talking to her than the others present, "lost track of time, forgive me?" A slow smirk spread this lips at the call, single hand moving out of his pocket to give a lazy clawed wave as his attention turned towards the others present. The ghoul he of course recognized, though the boil was a new face he hadn't had the pleasure of seeing about. "Whats this then?" The question was posed to anyone wanting or able to answer as his slender fingers plucked up the paper in front of his seat.

We've only just started! Alice can sit down any time to hear any of the proceedings xD
"I am glad you could make it at all, Siku," Amarus reassured him, content that her club members had arrived. "There may be one more joining us; I am not familiar with her, but she has requested admission into our group."
Amarus sat up straight, before pushing her chair back a little and standing up to address the group. It was easier to think while she was on her feet. "First order of business: Our motto is now, and will forever be Ex Umbra, Ex Dolores. Virtus Immaculata. From darkness, from pain: power immaculate. Under this oath we will rise to transcend all others, though we are a small group at our inception," she began.
She couldn't write to save her life, but apparently she could speak in front of a group just fine. It was a little odd, though, the way that she seemed to change tone as Malachi sat himself in her chair and kept it warm. "I have had printed on the back of the agendas before you a schedule which I train to: sparring, regular campus running which is not, ah, your typical cardio event, and rehearsing of new techniques. Any one of you is, at any time, welcome to join me on my schedule. It lists where I begin the route, but I will not wait past that time and beyond that location, so if you wish to join me you must arrive promptly," she said.
Moving right along, the bored look (which actually looked more like her face usually did, blank and expressionless) transformed into a very excited sort of enthusiasm, unheard of in the ghoul. "Of much more interest to us is the expedition I would like to propose: I've been researching," that was kind of a lie, "and I have found texts that speak of a submerged cave of power, glory, wealth..." half a lie: she hadn't found this alone at all, she'd made someone look for her. Whatever, it was hers now.
"And I would like it if you would join me, though it will be on a volunteer basis," she said.
[[OOC: YOUR MISSION should you choose to accept it! Anyone who agrees will be led on an expedition for artifacts into the Cave, which is the first of the locations o uo I/ Amarus will be GMing and we'd like to close up this meeting after everyone has gotten their say in things, and then I will immediately be starting the trip there with whoever wants to go.]]
Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear, Alice thought as she was briskly walking towards where the meeting should be. Of course, she had tried to leave early because of her very bad use of direction, but apparently it was much worse this time around since the time was coming upon her. To be late on the first meeting is such a terrible first impression.
She kept looking around the halls, looking for signs of the meeting, and when all hope seemed to have been lost, there was something. She peeked inside the door, hopefully not disturbing something important. "Pardon me, but is this the Aegis Animus meeting?"

Raleigh noticed the others that had joined around the table. From Siku to Amarus, to Rosy, and finally to Alice who appeared to be 'late'. "Got lost on the way?" He asked as he slouched in his chair with arms folded over his abdomen. He wasn't trying to be rude or anything, but he usually didn't like tardiness. He sat up, then stood to his feet to greet the late ghoul. "I'm Raleigh. Pleasure to meet you, miss." He said as he held out a hand to shake.
"Ex Umbra, Ex Dolores. Virtus Immaculata..." Raleigh spoke to her with a smile. "If you haven't heard in time, that is our motto. Please, have a seat." He said as he was trying to help Alice be caught up on what was going on.
"A cave of power?" Raleigh said as a cheejy grin appeared over the calm face. "I'm up for this cave you speak of, Amarus."
She nodded sadly. "Yes. Terrible with directions sometimes. Still, very sorry for being late." Indeed, she felt horrible for being even slightly late. Alice was slightly taken by surprised to see the boil putting his hand for her. "Thank you. Pleasure to meet your acquaintance as well Raleigh."
She smiled slightly, maybe even with a small blush on top of that, as she nodded to what Raleigh had said. Ex Umbra, Ex Dolores. Virtues Immaculata. Better remember that. It had a nice ring to it either way, maybe that will help in remembering it. She soon sat down, listing in on the others current conversation. "That sounds quite interesting," she replied as she her fingers, resting her head on top of them.

Perhaps it had been unconventional to make their meeting space outside on the campus grounds, but Amarus hated being indoors, so that kind of made sense. Not to mention she could mostly do as she pleased if she moved their meeting around. "I suspect, ah, my instructions were poor," Amarus reassured Raleigh. In actuality, she wasn't entirely sure she ever told Alice how to find their meeting.
Moving right along.
"The cave is partially submerged," she said, flipping the book open. "But considering many of us are spectral in nature, we should more than make up for any skills necessary," she said. She pointed to a series of half-destroyed depictions of the cave, instructions mentioning how to get there, and a slew of diagrams of things she didn't really understand. Every time she personally tried to read it her mind just glazed over in boredom.
Amarus turned to Malachi, whispered some command to him, and he brought forth an Aegis jacket. She tossed it to Alice. "Good, Alice, I am glad you can be brave. It may not be easy, but... well, if you have attended this academy for any length of time, you must already know the price for being here."
Amarus absent-mindedly reached one hand up to where the lock of Revenge slumbered at the bottom of the body of her sternum.

There was a small shuffling noise, and then Piper was there.
Despite her rather voluminous hair, the mage lacked her usual confidence and air of a rising star. Not only was she late, but she was super late and so not prettied up enough. Biting back a noise, she tried to slide in, utterly confused and only catching something about "being brave" and "it may not be easy" and "the price for being here".
Oh Jack what had she signed up for again.
(( Apologies for being late and putting up a lame post, I'm in the midst of schoolwork still. @@ ))

"No, it's quite alright Miss Amarus. I should have left earlier," she said with a bit of a nervous smile, and her hands crossing over her face as to way for her not to worry. The poor ghoul had always had trouble with finding places. Maybe it'll get better with time.
But after that, she listened into the conversation about the cave. She noticed the book that Miss Amarus was looking into, showing somewhat depictions of what it looked like. Apparently, it discussed how to get there, but she would probably just follow the group so she wouldn't get lost again.
Amarus seemed to have turned her head to the side, speaking to another member. Without paying attention close enough, something was thrown at her. She looked closely at it, her fingers touching the fabric, before returning her gaze towards the leader. Smiling she spoke, "I understand, I shall do my best in Aegis Animus."
But she heard shuffling from behind her and quickly turned around in her seat to see who it was. Who was this?
"Mhm, me too." He responded to Armarus with a light tease before taking up residence in his seat. This was an interesting crowd so far. To see this much 'lively' behavior from the ghostly ghoul was even more so, it tickled him into a mocking smirk as he watched Armarus go on about their motto and the orders of business. Ex Umbra, Ex Dolores. Virtus Immaculata. From darkness, from pain: power immaculate. It sounded catchy enough, and the promise of power was the entire reason he was here.
Listening he slowly turned the agenda over when it was mentioned, running the schedule and comparing it to his daily. There were a few things he could catch her with but he wasn't going to go out of his way to do them all, "interesting," he cooed to no one in particular as they moved along. Sitting the agenda down frosty blues peered up to grin at Rosy, shooting her a wink for a moment then turning back to Amarus.
When talk turned to a partial submerged cave his brow rose, he had heard something about this before somewhere just at the moment he couldn't recall. "You can count me in of course..." Siku clicked his claws against his agenda, then shifted his hands up to adjust his jacket. When two more people arrived late the frost demon rose up from his chair, giving each a nod in greeting before giving Maru a mocking grin for the seemingly disorganized happenings. He couldn't help it with her, her reactions or lack there of always enticed him.
Moving closer he inspected the depictions of the cave offered to them and a few of the diagrams. Some of them of course were hard to make out but the others well, he could understand them and that's all he needed. Smirking up to Amarus his head tilted back and he offered with a click of his long blue claws towards her, "looks like we are all here, shall we get this bonding process started, boss?" The pet name, of course was purred just to tease.

"I am glad you could make it," Amarus said, as the ghoul who had visited the booth arrived. "Do take a seat with Alice, if you would like," Amarus added.
Alice was being very polite to her, which surprised her. Well, surprised wasn't entirely the best word for it. Regardless, she wondered if they would break the girl of her sweetness over time. Amarus was nearly her polar opposite; she'd never been terribly polite in the past, and had never particularly felt a shred of kindness in her first year. Not that she remembered. There were a few memories gone for good.
"You do not have to do your best, dear Alice. We will transform you into your best," she said, with a sharp smile. Like a weapon forged over time, that would be their goal.
Back to Siku, and his offer to join in. "Excellent. I am glad we can count on you," she said to Siku, and winked at him. She looked very content, probably because her plans were taking real form, physical form. Shaping, developing.
It was all thrilling. Next step: conquer the Fear plane. Amarus actually laughed when Siku called her boss. "Of course, I expect you to be beligerent before all the others," she teased him back, "and I am all for the bonding."
[[OOC: We have exactly 6 people here right now! Raleigh noticed all the new members, but he gave off a light chuckle as his arms crossed over his chest. "Don't worry about not being up to par with us. We shall train you in our ways. Besides, if you can do it then anyone else can." He said with confidence as he looked over to Amarus with a cheeky smile. He wanted to test some of them since their little game at the maul seemed to be a good test at balance and speed.
"Now what shall we do since this meeting seems to be at an end? I recommend getting to know your club mates so we can go over training exercises and other tactics if need when we get hired by other students." Raleigh expresses since knowing others weaknesses and strengths can be a benefit in fights. He had always considered others over himself as far as protection.
