Technically it is a condo but oh well... It is a two bedroom apartment with two bathrooms, a kitchen, dining room, and family room. It was formerly Shira and Atticus' home but due to recent events and Shira's mansion being rebuilt, Ellise and Naomi now reside here.
Shira walked through the building while looking for the room number. The building was located on a far edge of Death City and was surprisingly left in one piece for the most part. The only damage was the roof according to the owner. She looked at her key while searching for the room number before finding it. She opened the door revealing a huge condo that was well decorated and had furniture already in it though it was covered in plastic revealing that no one had lived there for a while. She sighed "Hope you don't mind..." she muttered to Atticus before walking in and turning on the lights. "It is supposed to be two bedroom... one main room and a guest bed... two bathrooms one with a shower and bath. The kitchen appliances should be working but there won't be any food until tomorrow when I can try and find a shop that is open and still in one piece." she explained as she walked in and began taking off the plastic sheets.
As he followed Shira to their temporary home, Atticus would notice that it was located rather far from the Mansion and even some of the other resident's homes. Once they reached the place, Atticus noticed that the roof had taken a little damage, of course it wasn't too much. Stopping in front of the door, he would wait for Shira to open it, revealing a beautifully decorated place with exquisite furniture as well. However, it appears that no one really has been there for years. Following her in, Atticus could see that this was indeed a place where a spoiled little kid would live. "Two bedrooms huh?" he asked. "Well, I guess that is more appropriate." he uttered as he went to one of the sofas and removed the plastic, sitting down afterwards, "So, should we discuss our plans on dealing with the Blackwings and Herald? Or would you rather just keep putting it off?" he asked, showing that he was not going to relax just yet, there were many things that needed to be taken care of and he was going to see to it that they did.
"I said guest room. You live here, you aren't a guest." Shira sat down and quickly laid her head on Atticus' lap. She stared up at him then "That is on my list of things to do. I will discuss the issue with the Blackwings after we settle moving everyone in. As for Herald... Charlotte offered to monitor that little nightmare." she said. She knew Atticus wasn't too thrilled about that.
As Shira placed her head on his lap, Atticus would stare down at her, "I suppose you are right about that." he said, referring to her words about him living there. However, Atticus would narrow his eyes when she mentioned Charlotte monitoring Herald. "Sorry, but monitoring is not what I meant. He wishes to kill Mirai and I will not let that happen. If he plans on that, then the only thing to do is to strike first." Atticus learned many things while serving under Divine, this being one of them. "Emma and Herald need to be dealt with, now."
Shira sighed "I would deal with them right away... but we don't know where they are, Atticus." she said. "Charlotte is trying to look into that but as of now we are sitting ducks. We can't find them unless they show up here." she told him.
Atticus would clench his fist, clearly he was angry about it all, "Shira, when the time comes and Herald and Emma show themselves here, I want to know that you'll let me do, what I must." he stated, knowing how Shira wasn't the type to allow him to kill anyone that they considered comrades or allies, such as what she did with James, "Do you consider them your allies, still?" he asked her.
Shira continued to stare up towards Atticus "I understand your intentions... but you can't get overly enveloped with it..." she told him. "As leader of our team, our constant bickering has to come to an end. With that we won't be seeing Herald or Emma any time soon... but if that time comes I understand your decision." she told him.
Atticus placed his hand on Shira's head and gently stroked her hair, "Our team has never been functional." he told her. "I'm beginning to think that this so-called team should be disbanded." Atticus stated, as he seemed serious. "Lets start over from the beginning, with just me and you, like before."
Shira shook her head "I can't do that. It wouldn't be fair." she said "I am determined to keep this team in one piece... next mission we have I will be quite an army sergeant concerning teamwork." she said.
"That may work for others, but as you already know, I do not take orders well." he told her, somewhat teasingly. "I don't like relying on others, especially in the midst of battle. I will not try and become something I am not."
Shira nodded "I understand... but we are a team... we have to do things that work for everyone, not just us." she told him. "If that doesn't happen then this team will fall apart and I really don't want that to happen. I am tired of watching us all argue. It makes me feel like I am a bad leader and shinigami..."
Atticus sighed and lowered his head, nodding in the process. "Alright, but I don't try and force me to be friendly." he told her as he had agreed to do this little team work thing, so long as it will help them all.
As Shira placed her hand on his face, Atticus took this chance to recall their past and remembered that the two decided to start their relationship over from scratch and try just being a couple, but it seemed like the two have grown closer. So Atticus would lean down and kiss Shira gently on her lips.
