If she didn't tell Kadriye soon she would give up, she would never tell the mystic to be. Also the longer she took the longer she ran the risk of Kadriye finding someone else, or deciding that she didn't want to date anyone. No Briella had to tell her how she felt and she had to do it soon.
So leaving Ilyra in Dyakidas care, even though Briella knew her daughter could take care of herself by now, Birella made her way to the islands to where she knew Kadriye lived. She wasn't sure that Kadriye would be home, after all she was very important and for all Briella knew out on some sort of mission. Even so, she had to go to her, and if Kadriye wasn't home than Briella would just wait till she was.
Once she was back home Briella went and said hello to her mothers before she started to ask around to where Kadriye lived, and where she was normally. After getting a ton of different answers from different people Briella decided to just roam around until she found her. The island wasn't that big, she was bound to run into Kadriye sooner or later. Hopefully she would still have the guts to confess her feelings when she did.

"Qi I'm grateful that you helped me with my chores today but I am too tired to play." Kadriye murmured and she swatted lazily at the blue and white sprite buzzing about her head. There had been many lotus blossoms to tend to today and several blossomings she had been in charge of. As a mystic she helped birth new Alkidike from the lotus flowers of Aisha, then she was required to be checking each child's health, as well as cleaning and swadling them before they were give to their mother or mothers. it was a wonderful thing to be part of but also very tiring. Even with Qi helping in the ways in which it was permitted for him to do so. As she walked towards the home she shared with her parents on Ekene Kadriye paused. Was that Briella in the distance? She hadn't seen as much of the older girl lately as she would have liked to but the Prentice was still startled to see her here today with no notice. Perhaps she was on official business then. While Kadriye debated if it was correct to approach the other girl Qi took matters into his own, rather bored hands ,nd zipped over immediately to make his presence known.

Briella was looking the wrong way as Qi approached her, and at seeing the little bugger Briella started to smile from ear to ear. If Qi was around than there was a really good chance that Kadriye was around also. "Hey Qi, sorry I didn't bring Amadi with me this time. I have something to do today. Where is Kadriye?" she asked the sprite with a smile. With any luck he would lead her right towards Kadriye before she chickened out.
Although the more that she thought about it maybe she should just leave. Maybe this whole idea was a bad one. She was fine being at home alone right? But than her younger sister's words came back to her. She didn't want to be alone forever, and she was getting older, hell she was almost at the next rank, and she was getting to the age that most of the sisters she grew up with were having children of their own. Sure she had Ilyra, but that was different.
Torn between staying and going Briella started to fidget with her hands.

Qi frowned at the admittance that Amadi would not be joining them shortly, he found the other sprite pleasant. Reluctantly he pointed towards where Kadriye was approaching from. They were going to ignore him now, he was sure of it.

Briella smiled at Qi. "Come on Qi, you can join the two of us if you want." she said to the sprite. She knew that Amadi hated being left out and was pretty sure that Qi would feel the same way.
She motioned for Qi to follow her as she walked towards Kadriye, aware that the other had seen her already so there was no chance of running away now. That was a good thing. When she was close enough for Kadriye to hear her she gave a little awkward wave. "Hey Kadriye, how are you?" she asked happily.

Qi gave a small noise of happiness and happily fluttered beside the Alkidike woman. He liked Briella, she was a good influence of Kadriye and was kind to him. Kadriye smiled as her friend approached and she reached out to hug the other girl as she became close. Though Briella could back away from the affectionate gesture if she wished. "I am tired and have missed you but I am well Briella, and you?"

Although she didn't understand them, Briella loved sprites and Qi was no exception. She kept hoping that one would find Ilyra like Amadi had found her.
When Kadriye embraced her warmth spread through her body. It had been too long since she had felt an embrace by Kadriye. "Tired as well, though luckily Ilyra has grown so I don't have to spend as much time watching her so I can do things like come and visit you." this wasn't really a visit, well it was but it was one with purpose. She just wasn't ready to say all that yet.

Kadriye laughed softly "I appreciate the visit, although I wish Ilyra would have stayed small forever." Watching others grow and learn was important and yet there was something inside of Kadriye that felt like younglings never seemed to stay small and innocent as long as they should. Everyone had to pull their own weight though which meant growing up and finding your place in the tribe. "Did you come just to see me?" Kadriye secretly hoped for an affirmative answer. While she wouldn't begrudge her friend any work she needed to get done or people she needed to see it would be nice to just have time for themselves, well and Qi of course.

She laughed. "As much as I am happy that she is older, I do miss her being tiny." she admitted. Ilyra was growing into a beautiful young woman, but at the same time she was so cute when Briella found her. Little and sweet, well maybe not exactly sweet but she was pretty little. "She has finally decided to use the bow. She's been using practice ones since she was little, but she finally made it final." she said trying to make small chat. It was awkward, she didn't make small chat with Kadriye. Hopefully she Kadriye wouldn't be able to tell that Briella was nervous.
"Yeah, I thought that we could hang out if you had time? Or if you don't have much of it just take a walk maybe? Or we could talk right here." she said scratching the back of her head. "I just miss ya." she said with a small laugh.

The bow was a good weapon and one Kadriye imagined that the small special girl would wield well. As it was, she was far more competent with weapons than the mystic in training would ever be. She had been chosen by Aisha for a different path, one that embraced magic and required too much study and dedication to allow more than fleeting attempts at learning unnecessary things. Still Briella and her adopted daughter had tried to help Kadriye have a little more defense outside of her magic. "My responsibilities are tended to for the day, we can go wherever you like" Kadriye replied with a gentle smile as she reached up to loosen the binding on the headbands that kept her braids held back and out of the way while working. "I have missed you as well, it seems as though our responsibilities keep our meetings short and infrequent." Kadriye saw Briella more than most mainlanders, especially as she was able to visit to teach Ilyra, but still not as often as she would have been able to had she been a more common sister. Qi hummed softly to himself and trailed behind the pair, he might yet need to leave if all they were going to do was talk about boring things.
