Angeline had decided it was a good day for a walk. She probably shouldn't have decided it was a good day for a walk, but she couldn't help herself for wanting to go out when she didn't know that it was literally raining invisible minipets. Well, they could have been visible for all she'd known, but when the first large meaty shape hit her she let out a shriek of surprise and took a step back - onto another one.

She'd shuffled to one side and stepped in something else for her effort.

For all of her awkward stepping, she now didn't know which direction the school was in, what was going on, what the ground looked like, and had frozen out in the middle of a slowly growing pile of minipets.

Ahhhhhhh

When Serafina had heard on the news today that there it was going to be raining cats and dogs, she just figured that it was going to be raining rather hard. While it was relatively easy for her to dry herself off, considering she could just go intangible ... she didn't exactly like being poured on and decided that, perhaps, it would be a better idea to just stay inside today.

And watch, of course. So she'd get herself to a place where she could watch, first.

What she didn't realize until she saw people walking in it was that this didn't seem to just be a lot of rain. Honestly, this was Halloween. She probably should have known better. But when one ghoul ran in shrieking about invisible minipet poop, Serafina knew that something odd was going on here. Something rather ... amusing too, admittedly. Considering the minipets were all invisible, it looked like everyone was flailing around incomprehensibly or whining about things that didn't even exist.

Most everyone got out of it okay, so it wasn't such a big deal.

Eventually, though, she noticed from her safe location not being poured on that someone out in the distance a bit didn't seem to be quite as capable of immediately getting themselves out of the area as most of the people she had seen. In fact, they seemed to be getting rather mixed up...

Serafina frowned slightly. Were they okay?

... She didn't really want to go out there, though ...

Hesitantly, Serafina moved to the doorway, consequently blocking it while she tried to figure out if it was worth it to go outside and attempt to retrieve the woman who looked rather flustered... or just continue to snicker.

Her hands went over her ears as she was surrounded by conflicting noises that didn't help her navigation skills at all. She'd taken one step back just to feel something piling up at her knees and let out a small shriek of terror as she went falling backwards, half laying, half suspended in the air by a pile of invisible minipets (some of them were squirming, she noticed).

"i-I don't know where I am!" she suddenly yelled, as if hoping that would at least get her some kind of help in getting out of the awful invisible minipet rain.

Even if only laughter to go by.

Serafina couldn't help the snort of laughter that came from her lips as the poor ghoul shrieked and fell backwards... onto what was apparently a pile of the damn invisible things. Serafina was surprised to see the ghoul suspended in the air like that, but she had to guess it was probably because some of the minipets were quite possibly piling up.

Maybe she would just let the poor ghoul squirm for a while ... maybe take a picture and post it to Critter. A small grin formed on her face as she fished for her eyephone, only stopping because of the yell that came after the ghoul's continued flailing.

She... didn't know where she was?

Serafina frowned.

Okay, maybe this wasn't as funny anymore...

... Even if it still was a bit.

Serafina tucked her eyephone back in her pocket, deciding that maybe she should try to offer some assistance. Maybe. Hesitantly, Serafina inched a foot outside, only to have it tromped over by some invisible boafox. Unhappily, she drew the foot back in and shook it out a bit, before trying to venture out again.

She darted until she got under a tree, and then stayed there.

"Are you okay?!"

The obvious answer was no, but Serafina was desperately looking for an excuse not to go out any further in this... minipet crap no matter how much she kept mentally reinforcing she should stop making these stupid excuses.

When she heard the other ghoul's voice, Angeline pushed herself up to her feet (which were on top of something way too squishy for it's own good and she had a feeling she was going to want to really clean her shoes off later, ew), looking towards where Serafina (hopefully) was. "i-I can be if you keep talking!" she called back. "I can't see anything." Then there was a vague gesture to her face.

Still, she was quite a sight to see as she half shuffled along, trying to make sure her feet had somewhere to go before she moved along too willingly in all this mess.

She couldn't see anything? Were there invisible minipets on her face?

... No, that didn't make sense.

"Are you blind?!" That was probably the most brilliant observation that Serafina had made all day. Good job Serafina. Of course she was blind, she just gestured to her face and it didn't look like her vision was obstructed by anything...

Serafina shook her head. Focus.

"I'm going to come closer!" offered Serafina, politeness winning out over the deep urge to run away and hide from whatever the gross thing she just stepped in was ew these were her cute rain boots too! "Just keep coming towards the sound of my voice!" Once again, Serafina, good job stating the obvious...

After another few steps, Serafina made a rather embarrassing squeal when she felt her feet squish deep into something. These rain boots would need to be burned.

"Yes?" she replied, "I mean, unless that's not a word for 'my eyes have never worked ever'." Well, that was a lie, actually. They'd worked once upon a time and then had decided not to. But that was a technicality that she'd explain if she was called out on it.

But even without Serafina's prompting, Angeline moved towards her voice, frowning at the raining minipets (still unaware they were invisible and thus her quest was as difficult as Angeline's was). Her hands were glued to her chest as she took cautious steps towards the ghost ghoul, kicking at invisible bodies with her toes carefully.

Serafina hadn't really met a ghoul who couldn't see at all before. Even the headless undead were able to see, weren't they? So long as they had their head around, anyway...

Pondering made her lose the fact that she was supposed to remain talking and the fact that she needed to step carefully because the minipet rain was invisible. Consequently, she stumbled a bit, tripping over what must have been a minipet just milling about the ground. With a very ungraceful, "Eek!" Serafina threw her arms out and attempted to balance herself, only to whack some other invisible thing out of the way.

"Damn minipet rain!"

This had to be the most ridiculous weather ever forecasted she swore--

When Serafina got close enough, she held out her hand and hoped that the other ghoul would be able to find it. She wanted out of here before--ew what was that she just stepped in oh Jack--anything worse started falling down from the sky.

"I'm pretty close to you now," offered Serafina, voice softer to signal that.

Well there was a first time for everything!

Hearing the other ghoul cursing, Angeline was starting to get a rather strange picture of how everything outside was looking. Mostly filled with the only 2 minipets she could remember the look of filled in the only colors she could remember seeing like they'd been colored with the paintbucket tool in paint. Not very useful at all.

Angeline fell again at one point while Sera tried to not fall over and the red head pushed herself back up to her feet and with as much anger as could be twisting in her face when she mostly didn't know the expression, she picked up the offender and tossed them in the opposite direction of Sera.

While there were other bodies generating heat for Angie to feel, the distinct FEAR heat (which was different than living heat) nearby prompted her to reach out and grab the arm nearby, especially when Serafina let her know she was nearby. "Thank you.." she said quietly, face flushing. "If I'd known it was going to rain minipets today I wouldn't have come out."

She normally didn't go out by herself anyways...

Thank Jack the other ghoul had found her. Maybe now they could both get out of this horrific mess before she stepped into something else. She already had to fumigate the rain boots before she would go anywhere near them again even though she couldn't see what was on them why--

Fortunately, despite the panic and frustration in Serafina's face, she was keeping a fairly even tone--perhaps in hopes of not making the poor ghoul next to her even more nervous than she seemed already. "If it makes you feel any better," offered Serafina, "no one can see what's out here today. It's not only raining minipets, it's raining the invisible ones."

Serafina made a displeased grunt as she attempted to kick one out of the way. She missed.

Jackdammit.

"Let's get inside, at least. We can huddle away until this crap passes." Serafina pushed her arm out a bit more, attempting to offer something better for the other ghoul to cling to.

Did something just fall on her head? With her other hand, she attempted to brush whatever it was off before it ruined her beautiful hair.

There was a small gasp of surprise from Angeline. "Invisible? That's just mean." Not that the weather really cared how it treated all of them little people down there or anything. It was one thing for Angie to be out of her element all the time, but she never would have wished that upon anybody else ever. Invisible minipets meant nobody else knew they were there or where they were ever.

Just totally not fair.

She nodded at Serafina's suggestion they get inside, carefully wrapping one arm around the other ghoul's as they began to wade through all of the minipets with probably the same amount of success as Angeline would have had on her own. Maybe more because she seemed to wilt just a little bit whenever something hit her.

This was the worst day ever.

The weather was mean? That got a small giggle from Serafina, as annoyed as she was with how invisible and disgusting this whole situation was. Of course, that giggling went away quickly, replaced with more curses under her breath as she attempted to make their way through things she couldn't even see.

Honestly, the only advantage she had over the ghoul next to her was that she knew where their goal line was--the nearest building that they could hide out in a while.

This was so gross.

After hearing another squish under her foot, she squealed, before an unhappy whine made its way out of her lips. "What am I even stepping in?!"

This was Jackdamned nasty.

It might be a little more adorable if she could see the minipets so she didn't keep stepping in them or what they left behind or maybe she would stop nearly tripping over them or feeling them fall on her this was even worse than rain or anything like that this was just awful and--

"Hopefully this passes soon," offered Serafina, attempting to make a beeline for the door... albeit slowly.

Hey, it was highly likely the weather was sentient in Angeline's opinion, based on the fact it always rained after Dad had washed his motorbike. There was no way that was a coincidence, okay?

"There are a lot of answers to that question and I don't think any of them are good." Angeline replied to the 'what', grimacing. She would have rather been getting wet than getting.....well, minipet pelted, it was easier to dry oneself off then it was to clean up invisible messes. Well, Angeline was OK with cleaning up invisible things, considering, but still she couldn't even double check her work with someone else if they couldn't see it either!!

Stepping through the entryway into the building was sweet relief as a sudden onslaught of THUD THUD THUD THUD like someone had just thrown a box of something out of a window and everything had hit the ground sounded outside. That would have sucked to have been in.

There were likely a lot of answers to that question, that was true...

Invisible minipets...

Invisible minipet poop...

Invisible minipet gu--

Serafina was, needless to say, very thankful to get them both inside and slam the door shut behind them. She had well enough of that minipet rain, especially since it was invisible. She would just ... stay in here until it passed. Hopefully it passed soon enough, though this wasn't exactly a small place either, thankfully...

Her relief was obvious in her posture and in the way she, even though she hadn't necessarily seemed tense, just annoyed, slumped and relaxed.

"Thank Jack we're out of that," murmured Serafina, relieved.

Angeline hadn't even tried to think about it and for good reason - her poor mind only handled so much stress (a bad thing, really) before it would shut down completely. Or shut down a part of itself and turn her into a half-potato. Whichever.

In any other instance, she probably would have sat at a window just to listen to the noise outside, but instead Angeline was smoothing a hand over herself before she pulled her jacket off with a massive frown, turning it inside out and bundling it up.

"Thaaaaaaat needs to be washed forever..." she said quietly before looking in (what she hoped was) Serafina's direction. "I appreciate you wading out into....that to give me a hand."
