Lance twitched, pulling at the collar of his shirt. "You know, people wear normal clothes to these things right? Not everyone dresses up?" He fidgeted, shifting to look at his boyfriend. "One of these days I'm going to get you in regular every day clothes... without a super fancy label associated with it. Well... Any fancier then normal. Where are we going anyway?"

Alistair laughed. "Oh, certainly, but I'm taking you somewhere that rather requires dressing up." He replied. "What you have against me wearing expensive clothes I will never understand. It isn't as if my family can't afford it, and I look good." He glanced over. "One of my favorite restaurants, actually." He really hoped Lance liked Asian. "It was quite the adventure to get reservations for a Saturday night, but I know most of the staff."

"I'm just... comfortable in every day clothes. Hell, you know how twitchy I got with Azure's uniform." The blonde chuckled lightly. "You look good in my button up and I can guarantee that's not an expensive brand. Though I agree, you do look good." Lance said, walking over to kiss the shorter man's cheek. "...I have a feeling I'm about to be surprised by where we're going." Another light chuckle. "Is there a place in this city where you or your family don't have some sort of connection?"

"Yeah, I know," Alistair laughed, and then he coughed a little. "Yes, well, everyone looks good in a boyfriend shirt," he said, leaning up to properly kiss Lance. "I hope you enjoy it, that's all. And of course there are places we don't. I just don't generally go there."

"It's yours, the label doesn't matter - ah!" They'd come to a restaurant with shoving screens against the windows, and the name "Mikado" over the door. "Traditional Japanese," Alistair said, as he walked in the door and up to the hostess stand. "Holmes, party of two, six o'clock," he said, "and it is lovely to see you, Ayako."
"And you, too, Holmes-san." She smiled back at him and then bowed, scooping up two menus. "This way," she beckoned, leading them over to a booth seat and setting the menus down. "Your waiter will be by soon."

Lance just blinked stupidly. "...You don't know the meaning of under the radar do you?" He blinked as he looked around. "Oookay amazing time to admit I probably won't understand half of whats on the list let alone know what it is. ...I can use chopsticks though."

"Not really," Alistair admitted as he took a seat. "Sit by me, I'll help," he said, looking amused. "The food here is excellent, I promise. And chopsticks is a start, at least, right?"

Lance did just that and took a seat next to Ali, sliding an arm around his back. "Do you come here often??" He had to if he was praising the place this highly. "...How do you know the people here? Through your parents??"

"Yeah, it's one of my favorite places," he said, scooting over to Lance. "No, this one is all me. I enjoy sushi quite a bit, and this place has some of the best in town, so naturally it's my favorite place to come."

"How did you even have time to come here during school." Between School, theater, homework and constantly teasing hanging out, Lance found it absolutely amazing Alistair had never come down with some serious cold.

"Weekends, love," Alistair replied, opening up the menu. A young woman in a graceful deep blue kimono appeared at their table, bowing politely.
"Mayumi," Alistair greeted. It really did seem as if he knew everyone here.
"Alistair! Oh, and you brought a friend," she said. "I'm Mayumi, I'll be your server. Can I get you anything to drink?"
"Hot oolong tea for me," Ali replied. "Lance?"

"But even then! You were always so active during the year!" He blinked sheepishly when the server came over. "Uhm... The same?" He didn't know much on tea, or even what oolong tasted like.

"And yet you still had time to spend on me." Lance looked relieved as he passed off the menu. "Yeeeees. I don't get out much remember?" Most of the time it was usually Alistair who was dragging him out to do things as it was. "We can just... get things you like and you can introduce me to that."
