The first Hastar on Aisko had been a terrible loss. Erionda was getting closer to understanding the difference between the frozen breed and the dark toned ones on Soudul. These were a sturdier breed of Hastar. A stronger and more durable type. She liked that spice in these creatures. It showed they could easily survive in the cold climate. Possibly even stand up to a fight when it came to trouble. Unlike their Soudul cousins perhaps that meant these wouldn't spook at the first sight of trouble. These would be a more battle friendly mount. One she could count on. That's what she wanted in a mount. Something she could rely on.

Her feet crunched in the snow. While her first sight of the creatures had been completely disastrous perhaps this was a better attempt. Maybe it was just a random female that was trying to protect it's young. Maybe protect a kill? Assuming they ate the same things as her trained Hastar. Shaking her head Erionda wondered if it was better to follow a wild one for a while and observe what it ate. How it moved, and how it communicated with it's fellow Hastar. The hastar she had found this time was separate from the one she had first found. Yet again it was pawing at the ground. Did it eat vegetation like the other Hastar? She watched it for a while.

Once the Hastar had left Erionda approached the area with interest. What was it that the creature had found interest in. What she didn't expect where to find bones on the ground. She had expected the Hastar to be digging to eat. Not rolling around to get every scrap of meat off the bones. Sighing Erionda nudged the bones with her boot. The hybrid really couldn't claim much surprise. She knew the Hastar favored meat, and with a cold climate it was no wonder the creatures preferred meat. She could use that information for her next attempt and try to set up a trap in order to capture a Hastar from Aisko.
