The eclipse was still here. It was troubling, that a celestial event, something that was dictated by long ago established movements of heavenly bodies, would stick around longer then it was supposed to. How did it even do that? She was sure scientists all over the world were racing to enplane the phenomenon.
And It made Evalia, Now Eden, sense she was patrolling, wonder how closely tied it was to the rabbit creatures she had seen on the first night of the event. Surely they were connected. It was to big of a coincidence for them NOT to be.
For once, The long haired page was actually relaxed, she didn't even sense any neg averse aura's around. And she had been practicing sense auras. In fact, the only thing she sense in the immediate area was something she couldn't quite place... Like nothing she had ever felt before.
And it was close. So close she tilted her head curiously, walking in the direction she felt. She didn't recognize it as a Negaverse agent, or a Dark Mirror senshi, so she wasn't really concerned... there were people on her side she hadn't met yet.
And then from around the corner walked... herself. Complete with her own lantern. True this version looked as if she were being looked at through a dirty camera lens, everything about her muted and gray, even the metal of her lantern a matte metal that glinted dull and lifeless.
" Um... uh... hi? " Eden stammered out, so very confused, wondering what on earth was going on.
The shade smiled at Eden, calm and serene, her expression a duplicate of her own when she was feeling confident and composed.
" Die " The shade said, and suddenly it was lunging for Eden, a streak of muted gray, an arcing swing of a lantern aimed right for the dumfounded page's head.

'Maybe if I stay a civilian, I'll be alright...'
It seemed like a good idea at the time. Richard Moreau, confectionist and all-around sleazeball, had opted not to transform this evening, not just to shirk from any Negaverse duties which was becoming increasingly harder to do on his own, but he felt that it was a safe way to avoid his murderous and completely uncharasmatic double. And thus far it was working.
His trip from the insurance company was done in silence, for the most part, and many who knew him would have been startled to see him so sober, given recent events. Not that he had sobered up and tried to clean his slate or anything- he simply forgot his cash at home and his brother had taken away all of his credit cards to prevent him from going to the closest bar and settling in for the night. Which meant that he was nothing more than a poor, alcohol-less begger until he made it to his condo.
Teleporting there would have been easy if he transformed, and maybe without being drunk, he'd avoid the embarrassing screw up like the last time and actually teleport in his condo and not the neighbor's. That was a pain in the a** to explain, but at least he got some energy orbs out of it, so there was that.
No, here he was, walking in a dark city, with their moon missing behind the eclipse, powerless and sober as hell, and the headache that he felt forming could easily be blamed on withdrawals. Or, the sight of what he accidentally stumbled upon when he turned the corner was also a good reason to have a headache. Two of a familiar page, one he had met in a garden not too long ago, and it didn't take a genius to figure out what was going on here. It was a perfect maneuver, if he had to say so himself, and without once missing a beat, he spun on his foot and marched right back into the alley he had just walked through, stoned-expression on his face and making it unclear if he had seen anything at all. It would have been so damn easy to just walk away from this encounter and let the page deal with her double on her own...
And yet...
"You're lucky you're beautiful..." Richard Moreau said to himself, snapping his fingers and allowing his attire to change into his uniform once again. The power he felt surging through him was familiar and pleasant, and though he knew Krishna would have given him a lecture and a half for venturing out as Captain Buddingtonite on his own, he returned to the streets and sent his boomerang flying, taking quick aim and hoping he'd hit the right one. If he missed and knocked the poor Page of Chronos out, maybe he could pretend it was on purpose and present her starseed to a superior officer, to make up for the fact that he was, once again, lending his aid to the enemy.
