which do you prefer?
Personally I enjoy both but its important to discuss the similarities as Bryan Fuller is very careful to pay attention to the little details.

I think, because the books are what got me started on Hannibal in the first place, they will always hold something special for me. That being said, I think Bryan Fuller is doing an amazing job interpreting the books. So I think the show is turning out better and could do so much more for the characters than the Movies did (even though I love Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal) I just think that the show because of all that it can cover will do more justice to the books.

to be honest I LOVE reading, so I prefer the books, but I am a fan of the series too. It's very well written.

XxAlex in WonderlandXx to be honest I LOVE reading, so I prefer the books, but I am a fan of the series too. It's very well written. I think that's the best part of the show. Bryan Fuller is such a fan of the books. He's doing justice to what came before him. He's a fan of the books just like the rest of us.

I like both, but even though in both the movies and the novels Dr. Lecter wins, it is way more epic/scary/shocking in the novels. Enough said. smile Another scene from the movies (don't remember which one) that I thought came out really well from the novels was the scene with the herd of pigs coming toward Dr. Lecter as he was rescuing Clarice, I think. It was quite harrowing in the books, I thought they represented that well in the film.

It's because Hannibal shows no fear and the pigs do nothing to him.
