The water group consists of the players of Anise, Valerie, Sienna, Jan/Del, and Cai. If you have not signed up with a group, please go to the main ORP thread and randomize a group.

Together, the stranded travelers made their way to the site where they were going to build their camp. The gathering party had a little further to trek to the oasis, but first, they needed to drop off their belongings and only bring the necessary equipment required to carry berries.
The area around the oasis consisted of tall grass, palm trees, low shrubs, and berry bushes. The plants appeared to grow out of the sand, but there was probably dirt underneath for the plants to stabilize themselves in the shifting desert terrain.
(( Sample image. The oasis in the RP has a lot more tall palm trees. ))
(( Bring something to carry berries in and make your way to the oasis. All rolls require an RP post with it to count. ))
Part 1. Traveling. Randomize between 1-2 to travel to the oasis! You will need 10 twos as a group to make it to the oasis. Keep a count of successful rolls at the bottom of every post. Just for this part, you will need to wait until one other person posts before you can post again.
Part 2. Gather berries. Randomize 1-5 to see which berry your pokemon does not like. You only need to do this once. 1. Spicy 2. Sour 3. Dry 4. Bitter 5. Sweet
Randomize 1-36 to see which berry you find! You are going to have to look up what each berry does. Successful berries are ones that restore HP. There are berries that restore HP and can make certain pokemon confused. If the berry confuses your pokemon, it counts as unsuccessful because your pokemon has accidentally eaten it and gotten confused! You may keep rolling and do not need to wait for others to post, unless your pokemon becomes confused. If your pokemon is confused, you will have to take a break (see part 3) and have to wait until someone else makes a post before you can collect berries again. Keep a count of successful berries gathered at the bottom of every post. To make it through the night and into the next day, the gathering group will need 23 (one for everyone active in the group) successful rolls. If more active people join in this portion of the event, you will need 1 per person to make it through the night and into the next day.
OPTIONAL Part 3. Confused. Randomize between 1-100. Pokemon sightings only count for you. If you have already seen the pokemon, you do not need to do this part.
1-89. You take a break. 90-100. Spot a pokemon in the wild! This one is a little different. The tail is bare, unlike other rattata, which have furry tails. If you try to capture it, it escapes.
If your group is done collecting water (or if you want to ditch your group), you may choose to help out another group. Make an exit post in this thread to go back to camp (main ORP) and then make another post in the ORP to exit to another group.

Part 1
Anise started heading towards the oasis. It was pretty easy to see, being the only spot of greenery in the desert, so keeping on track wasn't a problem. Unfortunately, keeping on her feet was. The sands mounded in many low ripples made for very uneven footing, and almost as soon as she started out, she slipped and stumbled. The only reason she didn't fall entirely was because Oki dug his feet in and shoved his shoulder into her reach when she started flailing to try and gain her balance. As she steadied herself, she told the rest of the group, "Be careful, the sand can be hard to walk on."
"Whoa!" Valarie caught herself from falling face-first into the sand with the help of Fois panicked flapping. "Okay, slow and steady... One foot out and..!" she dug the tip of her sneakers into the sand and repeated the action with her other foot.

Part 1
Anise stepped more carefully this time, testing her footing before putting her full weight on her foot. This time she managed to stay upright. OK, so far so good. One step down...many more to go.
Valarie made one more careful step. Fois yawned and watched his trainer's feet and the sand that sifted around them.

Part 1
Anise started to take another step, but before she'd put her foot down all the way, the sand shifted alarmingly. She pulled her foot back in time to see them spot where her foot had just been crumble and slide into a trough between the ripples of sand.
Cai had thought his usual stride would close the distance in no time but like the women, he found himself having to tread carefully. Walking in sand was not something he chose to do very often. He managed a scowl at Anise's back as she stated the obvious. Really. Sand was hard to walk on. Such a shocker.

Sienna saw the oasis and immediate wanted to bound towards it. The water looked so nice, and the plant life around it was lush and green. She took one step forward and was one step closer to the oasis. This shouldn't be that hard, though she had noticed that everyone was having some difficulty walking on the sand.
Cai's irritation with the whole ordeal did fade a bit as he started to actually look at his surroundings rather than mentally rip the captain to shreds. It was what he came here to do after all, and though he wouldn't yet admit it to himself, Cai wouldn't have been able to see any of it in such detail from the air.

Although the sand was hard to walk on, after a short time of travel Anise started to get the hang of it. It still wasn't exactly easy, and certainly slower than walking on firmer terrain, but she managed to move along at a more steady pace. Oki seemed to have less trouble than she; perhaps with four feet to steady himself instead of two, he was able to keep himself balanced better.
He'd have to clean his shoes out before the trek back as well. Sand would cause blistering before he realized he was in trouble. It wasn't the walk that would kill you, it's the pebble in your shoe.

As Anise crested the ridge of a small sand dune, her foot slipped and she sat down hard, sliding down the dune's side. Fortunately, she went down the side closer to the oasis, so as least she didn't lose any ground. She did end up with sand in uncomfortable places, though. Oki hurriedly slid down the dune to nose at her. "I'm OK," she assured him. "Just coated in sand." She shook the sand off herself as best she could before continuing.
Sienna took another step forward, Skylar steeled himself against a sudden gust of warm, but sand-filled air. His feathers were filled with sand, but at least they were almost to the oasis now, and would hopefully be at least a little shielded from the desert wind.

Anise tried to climb up the side of another mini dune, but the surface kept sliding and it was hard to get enough purchase. Maybe she'd have to go around this one.
