Danny, as usual, was an eruption to the room she entered.
Which happened to be Rikki's room.
Which meant 1 reaper being perfectly aligned to be tackled straight into the bed. Not like a cute romantic comedy tackle, where the couple falls over the bed laughing and cuddling. This was a full on six foot tall fire demon bruteball tackle of happiness.

"Oumph!"
Rikki was pretty sure he'd just been permanently embedded in his mattress and he hadn't even had time to prepare himself for impact. He groaned quietly and tilted his head to figure out which train had hit him.
"Danny? Is something wrong?" he wrapped his arm around her waist, not sure whether it was more important to relearn to breath or make sure she was okay.

"Look look look look," she screeched, shoving the papers in his face so closely that the letters wouldn't be legible anyways. She was too excited to remember that the diploma was actuualy quite fragile and needed to be handled with more care.
Danny rolled off of Rikki, giving him space to breathe while she held thediploma over her head and looked at it with reverence. "I'm done with high school! Done! No more classes and dumb stuff!!"
Her tail wagged happily off the side of the bed. Even though she couldn't remember anything of Rikki, her body was still oddly attuned to the mannerisms of being around him. "I'll get to go to the human world."

Rikki's eyes crossed as he tried to read the papers from so close up, but he was able to see them once she'd rolled away and held them up. Sure enough, it proclaimed itself a diploma with Danny's name on it. He grinned widely.
"That's amazing, Screech! Congratulations." He rolled towards her to give her a kiss, too elated to even remember she couldn't remember and it might freak her out. "We should celebrate or something. We could call Amphi and all go out to dinner or have a party or whatever you wanna do."

Oh. Okay. So they were kissing now. That was happening. Oddly, Danny didn't mind. In fact, she'd kind of been anxious about it. They'd been dating nearly 3 Octobers now, it was about time.
Unlike Rikki, who could just casually move from kiss to subject, Danny laid there sort of dazed for a moment. After a second or two, she said, "N-No its okay. Uh we- we uh ..."
More staring into nothing. "Oh! Uh! We don't need a part or nothing. Amphi did the test with me- I think she wants to call her family or something. I dunno." She waved her hand. "I'm kind of tired a lot of stuff happened. Can we just stay in? I mean I don't have a lot of time here anyways and stuff ..."

That last part hit hi the hardest. He froze, looking shell shocked. "You're leaving?"
Of course she'd be leaving. She'd graduated. There was no reason for her to stay on campus, no real reason for her to stay nearby at all. That was cause for just the slightest bit of panic. "Where, uh," he started, voice tight, "where will you go?"

Danny didn't sense Rikki's dissatisfaction at all. She moved into something more comfortable with him, grabbing some pillows for a better nest. "Hmmm. I dunno. I didn't really think that far. Where do you wanna go?"
Of course Rikki would probably stay with her right? They already had "sleepovers" here at Amity from time to time. It'd be fun to have a roomate! "I guess the firelands is out huh ... I think you'd burn up and die."

So many memories lost, and she was still willing to stick around for him. It made Rikki feel lighter, like a worry he'd never known he'd carried was gone. He laughed softly. "Yeah, I don't think I'm much suited for the firelands."
He rested his cheek on the top of her head and played with the pocket of her shorts, thinking. "We could stay close to the school, getting an apartment in the town or something? Then you could still be involved with FMC and see everyone here that hasn't graduated yet."

Danny cringed her nose at the idea. "I don't wanna be close to the school. I mean I like everyone here, but I wanna ... I dunno, leave here!" Besides, once she and Roch graduated FMC would be passed to someone else. Some things you had to let go of.
"What about the city? The big one ..." Having Rikki so casually cuddling was still a bit weird feeling but she didn't ... dislike the feeling, so she didn't say anything about it. "I like apartments. But like a big one. With lots of windows."

Rikki hummed in agreement. He could understand wanting to leave. This was more like home to him than anywhere else, though, so it was hard to let go.
"I don't mind the city. There's probably a lot of jobs there." He scrunched up his face at her desire for windows, though. He had his qualms. "We can have lots of windows if we have black out curtains in the bedroom. I'm not waking up with the sun."

Danny let out a long sigh at the idea of black curtains, and at the idea of planning decor at all. Owning a house was a lot harder than she thought it was going to be. "We can decide later I guess? I dunno, I don't really wanna worry about it now. Too much work." Danny would work like an ant when the time came, but right now she wanted to do not much of anything.
Especially since she'd just been transformed into a titan, then a child, then fought a giant insanity knight, then-
It was a long day.
"The test is really hard man. But I guess- at least its not on paper. I would've been stuck here forever." She wondered if it was okay to talk about the test outside the test. Oh well. "There's lots of like ... weird s**t."

Rikki groaned. "Great. Because getting to the point of graduation hasn't been hard enough." They'd been through so much crap, he was pretty sure they should just get a free pass to their diplomas. Then again, that wouldn't be very much in the spirit of the school at all. "I'm getting pretty close to graduating, too. I should probably mentally prepare for it or some s**t. I'm sure it'll be traumatizing.
"But hey, once I get through it we're done for good. No more tests ever. We'll be adults, Danny. Like, responsible for crap adults."

Danny shook her head. "Nah, nothing that bad. Just weird stuff." There was also the added factor that because of loss of memories, they didn't have much to use against her, but meh.
"Igh don't say that, that just makes me feel weird," she said earnestly. "I just wanna go to the human world and burn some stuff. And you can take the souls from everyone I burned!!" It was sad how excited she sounded about that. Yes, technically they were supposed to kill any humans, but when it came to fire demons the law gave a looot of leeway. Mostly because fire demons were bribing the cops, but also because you just couldn't help it when the humans were stupid enough to run into the fire.
She nodded, finding that plan entirely succinct. "But for now ... Can we get a movie or something and maybekissagain and just hang out? We can do all the dinners and stuff my mom wants tomorrow." She shuddered when she realized there were probably a thousand parties to come, none of which were centered on her, but all of which she had to attend. Oh noooo.

Weird he could handle. Probably. Maybe. Either way it was probably going to be a long process, and he had no doubts it would suck in it's own way.
"We'll take a trip to the human world as soon as we can." He wasn't sure about reaping souls or anything, since he had no experience. He knew it was the entire purpose of his species, but it was just intimidating to think about. With Danny there, though, it couldn't be too bad. They'd figure it out as a team.
It occurred to him that that was how his parents made their success, and he quickly shunned the thought.
"I'd be down for a movie. We can order in too." He tried the squash the panic that arose with any mentions of her mom. If her mom was having dinners it would be a stressful day. Or days. Weeks. He almost preferred his parent's dinners. Almost. "What kind of movie do you wanna watch?"

A trip to the human world. Wow. Soon she'd be a working class member of Hallowentown.
But for now she was still just a ghoul in high school celebrating with her boilfriend.

Some time later, Danny stared up at a 30 jillion apartment complex that was very high end. Her mother had suggested it, of course.
"Wow uh. Wow."
