PROMPT  gaia_crown [ PROMPT 5: Moonday Meatloaf ] Your character totally helped themselves to the cafeteria's Moonday Meatloaf and now they are paying the price. Now to their eyes everything looks all blue skies and sunshine and rainbows and everyone else now look like majestic white unicorns, angels, ponies, adorable stuffed animals, and everything you hear them say sounds super cheerful and kind. The horror! They'll never be scary again!

Vanya entered the cafeteria for unknown reasons. She wasn't particularly fond of their food - but they sometimes had a fine selection of fruit. As she eyed the buffet, she was relieved to find that today was a rare occasion in which they didn't disappoint her. She helped herself to some boonanas and slaughtermelon before giving the room a quick look around. Her eyes focused on a familiar sight and she made her way towards a ghoul.
Another harpy and it suddenly occurred to Vanya that they had never properly met. Seen each other in passing, yes, but they had not yet made introductions. Placing her tray of fruit on the table, she offered a hand to the ghoul and a soft smile.
"I don't believe we've properly met," she said sweetly. "I'm Vanya."[A.V.] Super on time tag is gooo

The eccentric harpy was still busy making doki doki faces at everyone she saw when someone came up to greet her, and her eyes widened even more than they did before, if it were even possible.
Another harpy??! She had mistaken Draven for one before and hadn't really met anyone else who looked remotely like one, but to think she'd see another kindred spirit so soon, and one so pretty too!
Clutching their hand, she shook it eagerly, eyes still glued on the ghoul.
"Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii"
Oh right, her name.
"I'm Mayaa!"
A lot more staring later.
"You're really pretty!!"

The ghoul's high pitched voice and overly-excited manner had Vanya taken back a little and she flinched, pulling her hand away. She had no expected that. Were all harpies outside of her flock like this? She made a face that was quickly washed away upon hearing compliments from the other ghoul. She would happily put up with the other ghoul's.. chipper personality if it meant more compliments.
Her feathers ruffled and she took a seat opposite the ghoul, eating a few pieces of fruit before she rested her chin on the palm of her hand. "It's nice to meet you, Mayaa." She cleared her throat. "You're um.. Certainly happy to be here."

Had Mayaa known her exuberant personality was making Vanya uncomfortable, she probably would have tuned it down... maybe. As it was though, she was just too happy to fellow kin and couldn't contain her excitement.
Instead, she was still watching Vanya with bright round eyes, filled with admiration and awe.
"Of course!! I'm always happy every day, and to make new friends, and, for meatloaf moonday!! And it's really nice to meet you too!!!"
Because talking to someone for not even 5 minutes automatically made them friends in her eyes.
She looked at the fruit the other harpy was nibbling on, and gave her a curious look.
"Aren't you going to have some meatloaf?"
