Backstory
74O - 75O:
xx74O: Serum Developed
xxxx ► Humans create an artificial Serum to be used in War. It's used for regenerative purposes to make Super-Soldiers.
xx743: Human Testing Begins
xxxx ► The King approves Human Testing for the Serum. Three villages are chosen, and 3O people -- ten from each town -- are injected with the Serum and brought to the Capitol in Wall Sina for observation.
xx744: Testing Goes Wrong
xxxx ► The Serum has unintended side-effects, making the test subjects into monsters dubbed 'Titans' for their unbelievable size and strength. Only four out of the original thirty remained human. Guns and blades had no affect, so the Titans were shot and killed using cannons. 451 civilians lost their lives because of the rampage, and human testing of the Serum was stopped -- publicly, at least
xx746: Testing Initiated on Survivors
xxxx ► Researchers begin testing the four men who didn't transform into Titans. They're subjected to numerous variables, and even though the tests took eighteen months, not much was found about why they weren't affected by the Serum.
xx747: Test Subjects Transform
xxxx ► The four men transform into massive Titans, but are sentient. They completely destroy the laboratory, killing all but one of the Researchers. The four Titans cut a path of destruction through Sina, and escape over to the Wall to the lands outside. They're never seen again.
xx748: Researcher Takes Findings to King
xxxx ► After a year of investigation into the catastrophe, the Researcher takes his findings to the King. He explains that even though the Serum turned the four men into Titans, these ones seemed conscious while they were transformed. The King tells the Researcher to create another Serum discreetly, but not to test it.
xx749: Titans Attack
xxxx ► Two Sentient Titans attack Wall Maria's Shiganshina District, along with five normal Titans, killing 3O civilians. Canons are used to beat them back, and nets are used to capture a 3-Meter Class.
xx75O: Military Branches are Formed
xxxx ► The Military is completely reworked to specialize in defending against Titans. The Scouting Legion, Wall Garrison, and Military Police are formed.
► Researchers find that Titans can be killed by cutting a slice from the nape of the neck using the captured 3m Class. Research and Development begin into weapons that have are effective against Titans, and the first generation of Maneuver Gear is created.
84O - 85O:
xx84O: Colossal Titan Breaches Shiganshina
xxxx ► In May of 84O, the Colossal Titan breaches the Shiganshina District outside of Wall Maria, killing thousands of people. The Military Police evacuate the District to the confines of Maria.
xxxx ► Provisions are rationed to the public, but riots and stealing causes a massive food shortage.
