A text went out to all trainees and intermediate trainees overnight:
When the trainees arrived at the Lighthouse, they would find one (short) Death Hunter, scarf wrapped around his neck, double-checking something on a clipboard that was in one hand and marking things off with the pen in his other hand.
"The base in question is located at Scattery Island in Ireland. They were active before the power outage; we heard reports that they had located an artifact whose properties were unknown and were currently running experiments to determine its value. However - " And here Gale consulted his clipboard again, eyes narrowing slightly. "It seems that with the incident that happened, our communications were lost, and we have yet to regain them with this particular base."
He lowered the clipboard and rubbed his hands together. "So make sure you have everything you need - runic weapons, etc. - and we'll get started." OOC Gale is in charge of this mission, but there will be assistance from Zoo as well! **PLEASE QUOTE ME IF YOU ARE TALKING 2 ME otherwise I might miss it sob ** This mission is open to Beginner and Intermediate Trainees only; sorry full hunters, next time! >: Even if you weren't rolled / didn't post in the original interest thread, you can still post here! This will involve moving to several different locations Runic weapons are allowed, but just one per hunter pls There may be some suffering There will be O shenanigans Sam (the hunter) is a buttface All hail the glow cloud

Hair combed, scarf neatly tied, coat smoothed out, boots tied tight. It's business time.
Stormy was going to approach this with her head held high, regardless of what her insides were doing at the moment (which was to say, they were backflipping nervously and churning from prior drama). This was not going to be another Sahara incident. She was going to go in and be awesome and make her boyfriend proud, because the alternative was shutting herself in again, and she really didn't want to come to that. Besides, she was an intermediate; she ought not to have the same fears she had as a basic trainee.
Nevertheless, Stormy still had some jitters because, as ever at Deus, it was healthy to be wary about each mission.
"Hey~" she greeted Gale as she came in, stealing a kiss to his cheek while no-one was around. "Ready for duty, fearless leader!" Well first she'd grab herself a runic dagger, then she'd be ready.

Ooooh…Molly had some serious nerves making her anxious right now.
She hadn’t gotten a mission text in what felt like forever…and it was from Gale none the less! A duty was a duty though, especially when it was from someone she knew! The Mist trainee took that time before 9 AM to pack her bag well for a mission, and then dressed appropriately. She arrived at the Light House portal with her bag, and bobbed her head in greeting to the two who were there, pausing as she listened to Gale, and her eyes widened.
Ireland? Oh wow…an odd feeling swept over her. She hadn’t been to the country she was born and spent her early child hood in since…well…since she left. Oh, wow…and to think there was a Hunter base somewhere around…
The trainee got lost in thought.

While excited wasn’t the word Shiloh would use to describe his current feelings towards the Lighthouse, he certainly had a lot to prove and when the mission went up asking specifically for trainees, and headed by none other than a Death hunter, well, Shiloh wasn’t about to miss out on such an opportunity over something so silly as his feelings.
Besides, there were still many questions of his that had gone unanswered, in fact, almost all of them had, the only knowledge to be had on the island apparently turning out to be that which was witnessed by one’s own self.
With these things in mind, Shiloh appeared at the Lighthouse at the designated hour, fully dressed and ready to go in his jacket and scarf. He couldn’t, unfortunately, bear to part with his duck printed boots, and so they remained on his feet, looking a little worse for wear since their arrival on the island.

Gale Gentry? That name rang a bell, but not a face. It was probably a name he had heard in passing, somewhere someone spoke of a Gale. He seemed to be a pretty important figure though, if he was able to send out texts like that marked in his own name.
As it was, Quinn too found himself bundled up and approaching the lighthouse. This seemed to be a recent thing since portals were back up, a lot of trips to the lighthouse.
His scarf was curled around his shoulders, the coat also seemingly bright white today. He was wearing his usual layers, approaching the growing groups of fellow hunters curiously. How did they plan to approach the missing HQ?

Nevada buttoned up her coat over her dress, leggings tucked in boots. Bandage appropriately placed.
Yeah she was ready. She went to the lighthouse, stepping into trainee's she knew. Molly, Shy and Stormy.
All people she liked, thank goodness.
Her first visit was to Stormy though, and a gentle touch on her friends arm. "Hi Stormy. Gale." She almost said shyly, then went to stand a little bit away. To give the couple room.

Solia arrived, dressed in what looked like a cosplay of her favorite detective. SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY? SOLIA WAS ON THE CASE (and hoping and thinking it would be in a city). An island in Ireland had her frowning and wondering if maybe, she should change. Maybe. Israfel said that she looked cute though, and she liked her cosplay and- No, the outfit would stay. Besides there was no real time to run back and redo her hair anyway. "I am ready to investigate the things!"

Lucky arrived more or less on time, more or less ready for action. Never mind that he appeared to be falling asleep standing up every other minute, each time dangerously tilting the completely non-portable mug of coffee that he had deemed 'necessary' to bring to the briefing. It looked like his first; honestly, he'd lost count a few hours ago somewhere around the fifth.
He nodded along to Gale's brief speech like a student in a class pretending to pay attention. Something something Ireland something artifacts something something disaster.

Lex had left the rebuilding of the house once he'd received the text, deciding that a break was necessary from the monotony of hammering nails into wood over and over again. His coat was thrown over a sweater over a hoodie over a long sleeved henley, along with a thermal undershirt and gloves. He was completely ready to face the cold morning air.
He stuck around Solia during the debriefing, smiling at her outburst. Oh Solia, never change. He was glad to hear he'd dressed appropriately, ignoring Regal's chidings about being a sissy when it came to the cold. "So, let's get started."

The arrival of Lex looking like he'd gained that plush status of marshmallow was paired with Solia wondering more things like- "Hey" "Hey" "Can I borrow your sweater?" She'd give it back. Staplers might have been another story but a sweater would help given her poor (if cute) choices in attire. Lucky got waved at- even if he looked to be ready for falling over in a non lethal dirt nap.

Feng was on time, but whether he was ready for action or adventure or shenanigans was up for debate. He looked skittish as usual and he tugged on the sleeves of his coat. It was impossible to tell whether he'd dressed appropriately because his coat covered him up, but he at least didn't look like he was going to freeze or overheat, so that was something.
He stuck to the outskirts of the group during the debrief, but slowly inched towards Solia as they waited for further orders. "Hello."

"What?
What?
Yes, geez." Lex rolled his eyes as he removed his coat and scarf - briefly handing them to Solia - and took his sweater off. Did he really want to? No. They were going to Ireland, a place with a climate the exact opposite of what he'd grown used to in Nevada. Was he obliged to? Not really. But... "You're lucky you're cute." He griped with a smile, handing her the sweater as he took the other garments back.
Stormy got a cheery wave from the man before he noticed a newcomer closing in on Solia. He smiled at the man with the terribly oversized coat and held out a hand. "Have we met? I'm Lex."

9AM felt too early. Way, way too early. Still bleary eyed and dazed, Abbi tripped her way toward the lighthouse, dressed warmer than normal with actual tights and a longer skirt paired with a slouchy sweater worn under her Division coat. Receiving a text about a mission was super exciting, but having to get up early enough to get dressed and down to the lighthouse by 9AM was not. In the habit of sleeping late was rarely good for these sorts of places, but somehow the teen had snoozed her way through most mornings, feeling pretty good about her track record until now. Ah well, it was in the pursuit of being a good Trainee so the girl tucked her drowsiness back into her head and hurried on. There was a nice group assimilated already, but only a few that Abbi was actually familiar with. She gave Stormy a sleepy wave, but left her alone for the most part since she was talking to blonde dude who was her boyfriend even if no one had introduced him to Abbi yet as such. Nevada also received a small wave, along with a small headbutt to her shoulder from a cuddly-due-to-sleep-deprivation-Abbi. "Mornin'." She greeted simply, pulling her scarf higher up in hopes of hiding her mouth. She was going to just stand there and doze on her feet when she instead spotted someone standing nearby who was... Like her. This roused the teen into action as the call of the ginger was strong within her and Abbi stumbled over to the curly haired girl, waving languidly. "Mornin'. You look just as out of it as I am." That was meant as a bit of camaraderie, though the teen failed to catch how it could have not sounded like that at all. Instead she offered the girl a small smile in hopes of sparking a genetically based friendship.

Solomon's phone had never gotten an official looking text before. Who was Gale? Was he as serious face as most of the people he'd met that weren't suns? Suns were where the party was at, but hey. He didn't have a problem with going to make friends.
And oh boy, Solomon was off to the meet up nearly immediately when Aren's excitement had suddenly gone full swing in his head.
His first thought was he didn't recognize anybody there, but that didn't stop the masked hunter from greeting. "'Morning!" He also grinned because hey, they were all friends here (he hoped).

Oh look, people, yay~ Stormy was content to stick by Gale, a little removed from the group but not so far away as to look isolated, able to watch others without feeling pressured into talking--she was going to need her energy for the mission, and too many people drained it.
Molly got an excited wave, whereas Nevada got a mild, "Heya," because she wasn't quite sure how else to greet her. Was she okay after the party? Should they talk soon? Did she still need space? Stormy didn't want to push, but the uncertainty lingered like fog around her. "How's it been?"
While not recognizing Solia's character, she did understand it was a cosplay and smiled at the enthusiasm. Lucky received a few wiggles of her fingers, hesitant to approach since the Lifer looked ready to fall asleep. Maybe he was one of those "don't talk to me before I drink my coffee" types . . . They did need to catch up some time, though.
Aww, Abbi came! Stormy was glad she looked better than she had from the Sahara . . . Though she wondered how well the Moon was faring after that ordeal. Another note to pick up later. There was a cheery sun guy slipping in (maybe this mission wouldn't be so bad if the majority were optimists), and then her eyes found one Lex.
Oh, God. Model and boyfriend in the same room sdlfkjalkfjalsdkj nope don't blush nope don't stare look at your feet yes there we go--
He received a meek, blind wave.
