KIPEPWA (pl. Kipepwi) - Similar to their Nondwi brethren, the Kipepwa are enormous creatures with large, delicate wings attached to slender bodies. They are slightly more apt to battle, with clawed limbs that they'll use to scratch.

Vollerei was headed back to Tale, this time to cross it and see more of the strange flat lands! Snack, lazy insect that he was, was napping in her backpack while Zweil was flying above her. Ever since he’d learned to fly it was hard to keep him from it! Not that she minded at all, it meant he was also learning to hint and she didn’t have to carry him as often.
Swinging from branch to branch, Vollerei kept an eye out on her young Kinfa as he flapped inelegantly about. Zweil was still very much a baby and hadn’t learned how to fly silently or gracefully yet. Oh well, she thought as she shook her head, he’ll learn. She spotted him suddenly banking his wings and diving: a sure sign of him spotting something he wanted to eat. Muttering under her breath about delays and stuff, Vollerei dropped down quickly through the canopy, following Zweil as fast as she could. She was more worried about him deciding to attack something larger than himself or something poisonous than anything else. Zweil’s eyes were always bigger than his stomach and he hadn’t quite understood that just because it moves, doesn’t mean you can eat it.
She heard him shriek pitifully and shook her head, “I knew it.” Grabbing her spear out from its sling along her back, she swung around the large tree trunk and paused, gauging the situations quickly. A large Nondwi with claws... ah, a Kipepwa! She grinned, the larger more dangerous cousin of the Nondwi also happened to taste better. She whistled for Zweil, who was hunkering on a branch beneath the angered Keipepwa. Knowing the signal, he threw himself off the branch out of the way of the incoming spear. Vollerei fist pumped with glee as she speared it through it’s thin body. I’m getting better at this, she thought with pride as she leaped over to gather up her food and give Zweil comforting and a check over for any wounds.
