Earning his Super rank was still a mystery to the Senshi of Wasps, but Sailor Vespa would not dare to openly question his superior officers to get an answer. He saw it as a second chance, and he was determined not to blow it this time. As a Super, his energy quota was increased, and the warning he received still rung in his ears.

'Make your quota. Or else.'

Not wanting to see what the 'or else' entailed, Vespa was quick to find a target, struggling with his own conscious as he stalked the elderly couple that strolled together in the park. He didn't want to hurt them, and he knew that between the two of them, he might not really receive a lot of energy. In fact, what he could siphon from them would likely kill them, and that was more than enough for the Corrupted senshi to slow in his approach. How much could he think to take before it was too much? What if they died? He knew he shouldn't have cared- everything he did was justified for the glory of the Negaverse.

Yet...

Maybe he should have worked his way in front of them so that the wouldn't give them such a scare. It just seemed needlessly cruel to scare an old couple like this. He was so caught up in his personal dilemma that he didn't feel the nearby Order aura at all.

Sailor Psyche couldn't bring herself to stay inside, not anymore. There was something tugging at her soul, drawing her out into the darkness of the night as if its embrace was a long lost comfort. In the arms of the darkness, she walked through the streets of Destiny City aimlessly but alert. Sailor Iris had gone through a lot of work to explain how power signatures worked, and all that jazz, and she was going to make good use of it.

Sailor Vespa gave off the same dark power signature like youma did and that's what got Sailor Psyche's attention drawn to him. He was standing there dead in the water, staring off into space like an easy target. She considered things and slowly approached him from behind, before stopping in the distance.

"Breathless Agony," she whispered, eyes on him.

Vespa's mind was certainly elsewhere that night, as he had not once noticed the Order aura that had closed in on him until she was literally upon him, and by the time he had turned around to face the incoming threat, she was already upon him. Her magic struck head on, and Vespa could feel the oxygen being sucked cleanly out of him in that moment.

He tried to expand his lungs and suck in the air around him, but nothing came in. She wasn't touching him so she wasn't strangling him, and he didn't feel anything lodged in his throat. No, there was simply no air, and no amount of grabbing his throat and gasping could bring that life-giving oxygen back in.

And as strange as it was, to be panicking and flailing around like a fish pulled on deck from the sea, his mind retreated to a scene from one of the Nightmare on Elm Street flicks. Freddy had placed his lips on a girl and gave a huge inhale, sucking the breath and life right out of the girl until she resembled nothing more than a deflated balloon. Which was exactly how he felt right now, though he could still feel the bone and meat beneath his skin. Which movie was that one again?

Why the hell was he even thinking about it when he could feel his lungs burning and fear growing in the back of his mind? Now wasn't the time to think about that... he had to breathe if he was going to fight this senshi.

Sailor Psyche didn't give Sailor Vespa the chance to compose himself from his fears, acknowledging his power signature of that of a monster's. If Sailor Iris had caught her anything, it was that this power signature belonged to monsters and monsters had to be disposed of before they could become a menace to society. They would kill her without any second thought and no matter what their human disguise appeared to be she could recognize them as monsters thanks to the power signature they gave off.

She wouldn't be tricked.

She wouldn't be killed here.

She attacked Sailor Vespa with her fists this time, aiming for his face. Oh, how she loved faces.

One of her fists struck its mark, slamming against his visor and forcing the Wasp senshi back, though it managed to work in his favor as his stumbling about actually saved him from the next blow. It was pure dumb luck that he didn't fall onto his rear, and even as he struggled for air, he scrambled to his feet. He could see the murderous intent in her eyes, and if there was ever verification that the White Moon Senshi were the murderous terrorists that his superior officers warned him about, she stood directly in front of him at this very moment.

Avior was right. Avior made the right choice in fleeing to the Dark Mirror Court, and throughout his breathless gasping and gagging, he took comfort in knowing that he had made the right decision as well. Or perhaps not, to earn this one as an enemy.

He lashed out, his moves sporadic and frantic and not at all controlled. If he had air in his lungs, he'd be able to summon his wasps, knowing that they'd harm him as well as her but it would at least spread the pain onto his attacker. Tears formed on the edges of his eyes and he hoped the visor would do a well enough job in hiding it, and he lashed out like a frightened animal. The minute his breath would return, he would destroy her...

I have no idea how long the attack is meant to last in RP terms, so... yeah. Let me know when he can breathe again.

Monsters. Sailor Iris was right, they took so many forms. She couldn't go easy on this one simply because it tried to deceive her a human body and expression. It only looked like it was suffering, it only looked like it was panicking, the tears were deception and the flailing around was just a dance to entice her closer so he could kill her. She wouldn't fall for it.

She went made an attempt to knock him off his legs, hoping to pin him down under her.

The attack runs for 40 seconds, so I would say he can have his breath back somewhere in your next post if you want!

Soon he found himself off of his feet and on his back, and that was the last place that Vespa wanted to be! And what was worse was that the senshi found her way on top of him, and that was a much worse position to have found himself in! Whoever she was and whatever deep rooted hatred she had for his kind would forever remain a mystery to him, and the moment he felt her weight upon him, he could feel his breath returning to him. Sweet, sweet oxygen! His lungs convulsed at first and he almost wanted to cry out in joy at the miraculous ability to breathe, but he'd waste no breath asking her any questions. Her name wasn't important and neither was her motive as he could clearly see what her intentions were.

No, the moment he regained his breath, he wrapped tight fingers around her arms, locking her in place on top of him, and he did something he hadn't done in awhile. He tried out his attacks name, and he did so with malice in his voice. He had never felt so angry, so vindictive when he summoned his own attack, and though he knew the stings would assault him as well, he took comfort in knowing that there was no escape for his enemy as well.

"Vesperian Soldiers Deploy!**" He cried out, feeling the magic flowing through him and the deafening buzzing in his ears began immediately, as the wasp-shaped energy wisps shot from beneath the palm of his hands and engulfed both of them in their stinging fury. Vespa could already feel their bites, but he welcomed it, so long as he could see her writhing in pain along with him! If he was going to suffer, than so would she!

Vespa's Attack
Super Sailor Scout Attack: Vesperian Soldiers Deploy
Sailor Vespa has learned the difference between bees and wasps, though his attack could still use some tuning. Like before, he sends a cloud consisting of 20 wasp-shaped yellow and black energy though now the radius has moved to 5 feet instead of four. Like before, the energy will leave a stinging sensation once it hits flesh, but like a wasp, they will linger on the opponent’s flesh and continue to sting for a duration of 15 seconds. If left unhindered, they will last 15 seconds before dissipating harmlessly in the air. Can use twice during a battle.
+ Will pop and leave a lasting stinging sensation with a duration of 15 seconds; does not penetrate clothing (will dissipate upon contact)
+ If they don’t hit flesh, clothes or other forms of resistance, lasts 15 seconds before dissipating
+ Affects everyone (even teammates and himself) in a 5 foot radius around him; no, poor Vespa STILL has no control over the attack, thus making everyone within a five foot radius susceptible.

It was obvious by the expression on Sailor Psyche's face that she didn't appreciate this monster touching her, let alone locking her in her position on top of him. She squirmed and wiggled, trying to break free of his grip but where her attempts tried, she failed to do so. Unable to get away, she watched as foreign words came out of his mouth and then a cloud began to blur her vision.

"Yow!" She yelped, confused by the sudden sting.

Following it was another, and another, and another.

She felt helpless, and in that state her anger only boiled more.

She didn't need hands. She threw her head forward to his own.

"b*****d!" She yelled, her teeth biting down on her own lip as another one stung her. HE WAS NOT PLAYING FAIR! He was getting help from something else! She didn't like it. What was she to expect though? Monsters rarely ever played by the rules.

It seemed like it was the first time since ever that his energy wasps actually seemed to spread equally between himself and his opponent, and while he felt their ferocious stings n** at his face and shoulders, the pain was worth it, so long as she was suffering too. He watched her struggle beneath him and there was something almost gratifying about holding some kind of advantage over the enemy, even if it was destined to be short lived. And yet, even as he managed to pin her down and watched her squirm from was wasp stings, there was something off about this… something wrong. Something he didn’t like, and it was that, as well as her shout, that distracted him long enough for her to get her blow in.

For all of his anger and desperation with his attack, all it took to dislodge him from his position on top of her was a well-aimed blow to the head, and he fell backwards and off of her. Not only did this free her from the range of his attack, but it caused the rest to swarm after him, leaving him both dazed from her headbutt and now completely at the mercy of his own wasps.

He tried his best to scramble to his feet and flee now- between his wasps and that terrible attack she had, he had no chance of winning this fight, much less surviving this encounter. He had to get out of here! He had to get away from this senshi, whatever madbeast she was! Normally he’d be too weary to turn his back on an enemy, but now, all he wanted to do was escape and live, as miserable and painful an existence that life was it had to be better than death at this senshi’s hands!

It took a few moments for Sailor Psyche to realize that the swarm was no longer attacking her and that Sailor Vespa had dislodged himself from his position over her. She was free but the first thing she did wasn't chase after Vespa as he got to his feet. It might have been a mistake in hindsight but she couldn't help but run her hands around herself unconsciously to make sure no more wasps were there.

He'd gotten a bit of a head start on her when she found herself on her feet but that didn't deter her. Her lips curved into a crooked smile as if she was considering something and then her expression went back to the serious expression she'd had before. She wasn't going to let him get away! She began to chase him, screaming something inaudible at him. If he spoke Greek, he might be rather insulted by what she called him.

Vespa didn’t speak Greek and at the moment, whatever she had called him wasn’t quite high on his list of priorities right now. He knew it was likely something vulgar or bad, but either way, he wasn’t planning on sticking around to ask her to clarify what she had said to him in a language he was too terrified to understand. All he cared about right now was to get as far away from her as possible, by any means necessary!

By this time, the wasps had begun to dissipate and die, though even their lasting sting couldn’t slow Vespa down. He could hear her boots tapping rapidly against the pavement and if he risked turning around, he’d see her getting closer and closer. Now more than ever he was happy to enjoy P.E. in school, channelling as much as his track and field skills as he could if he thought it’d save his life. He couldn’t let her catch him, and he did everything he could, grabbing garbage cans and throwing them down in hopes of blocking her path or slowing her down.

They were right, he thought to himself, grabbing a trashcan lid and flinging it back at her, not once taking a moment to aim or look at her before continuing his mad dash. Some of these Senshi were out to kill! Others had spoken with him, given him a chance to settle things peacefully, but this one? This one was like a giant karma monster, this was the nightmare that Mica and others warned him about. He had to escape! He had to run! He didn’t want to die, not at her hands!

Vespa wanted to get away and Psyche wanted to get him. The debris in her way might have been more conflicting to another senshi but Psyche had been studying parkour for years. She might not have remembered it but her body did, and when the objects obscured her path, she simply made them part of the path. She jumped over them and when she couldn't quite jump that high she used a nearby wall to vault off.

It had been awhile since she had this much parkour in her movements so when she went to land, the heel of her boot snapped and she tumbled to the ground. Her recovery was slow and even when she managed to stand up the weight of her body with one broken heel didn't sit well with the other. She tipped from side to side before eventually getting pissed off and pulling both long boots off.

This was a slow and tedious motion, and it gave Vespa more than enough time to get away. To her disprovable, when she looked up to spot him, she could no longer see him within her view anymore.

Her target had escaped her. She wouldn't give up though. She would keep looking for him but no matter how long she looked, she wouldn't find him again tonight. She would go home unhappy, and frankly a little pissed off. She had been so close to ridding the city of one more monster but she'd failed.

She would just have to make sure she didn't fail next time.

Who knew how long Vespa would have kept running in this panicked state? He was going to run as fast and as far as his feet could carry him, all the way to the ends of the earth if it meant to escape the senshi that sought to kill him. He dared not look behind him or think to feel for her energy signature, never noticing the mess he left in his wake as he continued to throw trash and newspaper stands to the ground. When it came to survival, Vespa had a one track mind.

It wasn't until he tripped over a trashcan he sought to toss than he was forced to look behind him and see... that there was no one there. No White Moon senshi, with her eyes alight with murderous intent. He looked around the streets and saw only the trash he left behind, and now that he had stopped his frantic marathon, he couldn't feel her energy signature nearby.

How long had he been freed from her? How much garbage did he throw in the streets? Was that what caused her to stop her pursuit or was she too disgusted in his cowardice display to feel him worthy of hunting down? He suspected, and hoped for, the latter... never had he come across a White Moon senshi with such a focused mindset, and he hoped, for his own safety, he wouldn't run into her or any like her again.

Now all that was left for Vespa to do was pick himself up and limp home, with his tail between his leg and his head hung in shame like the pathetic excuse of a Negaverse officer he was...
