There were times when the hellhound liked to go to the Maul on her own. These times were mostly—hint, almost always—caused by Megaera, who wanted a bit of alone time for herself. Then again, she could never be alone when the other two personalities were constantly knocking against the insides of their shared head. She clicked her tongue, the corners of her lips twisting into scowls, but continued to walk around.
Tail flicking back and forth, she walked into a bookstore and felt immediately at ease in the comforting silence. Occasionally she would hear a page turn, but it was a pleasant sound. Megaera didn’t mind it, so she continued to amble down one aisle. A clawed hand hovered over the titles splayed across the spines. She picked one out at random and flipped to the first page. Standing in place, she read.

"You're in my way..." Sure it wasn't the most formal of greetings but it was the truth and it was what needed to be said at the moment. Vibrant blue eyes stared at the ghoul in front of the shelf he needed to pull a book from, but only for a moment before his hand was reaching past her side and plucking said book free. Hellhound..hm. A bored look crawled across the Mahamba's features before he turned his nose down and flipped his book open for investigation.
This was the one he needed, but now that he had skimmed the first page he was doubting the advice given to him from the ghoul at the counter. "..This...is awful...." He muttered to himself under his breath, a finger flicking another page back thanks to speed reading. The third page was just as horrible, he hated reading things in first person. Sighing softly Zaire turned another page, continuing to read since it was better than going back to the monster dorms.
Syusaki f o v o f Sorry it took so long and was awful ; ;

It wasn’t a very good way to begin introductions, she was sure of that. One ear twitched as her eyes narrowed and the glow flared dangerously, but Megaera remained silent as she obliged and stepped aside to allow the boil to find the book he wanted. Her head turned slightly to eye the book in his hands, and she turned a bit more to get a better look at him. Dark skin. Fins. A giant freaking tail. Definitely a monster.
She sighed loudly to voice her displeasure before flipping through her back again. “If it was awful then maybe you should’ve found a better book,” she murmured with a snerk. “You really picked a horrible book, by the way.”

The sigh of her displeasure didn't go unnoticed however Zaire remained unresponsive to it, favoring reading than apology. After a few flips he couldn't stand it and shut the book. Caressing the hard back cover with his claws as a look of curiosity flickered to life behind bored eyes.
Gaze falling back to the ghoul at his side he gave her yet another once over, this one more thorough. Pretty, though the tone of voice her murmurs held registered as trouble. Zarie pondered for a moment then turned back to re-read the cover of the book in his hands. She was right it was horrible and he should get a different one but he still really didn't want to search himself.
Taking the lazy approach he leaned a little against the shelf and as casually as possible spoke out, "Yeah... Though a better suggestion could be gotten?" He gave the ghoul a look; sharp teeth peeking out, before leaning back off the shelf to replace the book, "don't suppose you could offer any literature advice, you do appear to be tasteful."

She received only silence, which only served to plunge her deeper into a grumpier mood. Megaera sneered silently, but said no more as she listened to him flip the pages in his own book while she minded her own business and continued to read. It was only when she spotted movement out of the corner of her eye—he’d leaned against the shelf now—did her expression suddenly shift. Suddenly, Tisiphone seemed interested.
The body changed to accommodate the shift in personality. Her stature less rigid, the thin line transforming into a smooth grin as she peered at Zaire through half-lidded eyes. “It depends on what kind of books you like, I suppose,” she answered, smiling. She tilted her head just so, her gaze lingering on him for another moment before turning her attention back to the text, mostly upon Megaera’s demand as she screamed inside her mind. She clicked her tongue, but said nothing else and obeyed.

Having been eyeing the ghoul as it was, the shift in her posture was noted. Though nothing beyond he assumed she gained interest in what he was talking about. The stare he gained however, it was interesting all in itself, he was a healthy growing boil after all. "...I don't like a certain kind...but I don't hate a certain kind either." Zaire replied, tone sounding bored already as his fingers slid up to glide another cover. A lazy sway of his tail was given before the boil frowned and looked off towards the entrance of the bookstore.
A restless itch was hitting him, one that said browsing the maul in general would be a lot more fun than finding his own book. "...Do you know of anything fun to do here...?" He asked absently, turning back to the ghoul and once more pressing conversation, if only for the sake of not dying of boredom. Awaiting her answer he picked up yet another book to skim.

“Hmmm. S’that so?” she answered, her voice louder, but not enough to draw the shop clerk’s attention. “That’s rather apathetic, don’t you think? You’ve got to have some kind of favorite. Something you like a bit more than the rest.” Tisiphone reasoned with an amused grin. She felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand on end as she felt a chin run down her spine, undoubtedly Megaera’s work as she hissed for the ghoul to stay in the bookstore.
Lips curled into a smile. “I’ve been around the block a few times,” she answered vaguely, her own tail flicking back and forth. “Why don’t we take a look around together?” Tisiphone suggested while slipping the book back into its proper slot. “I could use a little excitement around here anyways.”

The change of tone caught his attention enough to raise a brow, though beyond that nothing.It wasn't enough for him to really care much for after all. Apathetic? Inwardly he smirked, outward he let off a soft sort of growling laugh, that was pretty funny. “Oh? Maybe it is..I just, ..choice to limits.” His reply might not have made much sense to her, but to himself it sounded exactly right. On a slow sway of tail he cracked a smile to himself, eyes running back over the books, was there a type he could stick to? "Something that keeps me guessing ..." The comment made absently as he turned back to the ghoul, lazily folding his arms over his chest. Things rarely kept him guessing though as it all normally ended up the same or so very predictable, which was even worse than the same.
The vague answer she gave left him in yet another grin and his head inclined towards the door, signaling he was down to follow her lead. Why not, it could prove to be exciting after all. "Sure..." Humming his reply he took a step ahead, walking out of the store at a slow pace so she could keep up. With a glance over he offered, a bit more animated at the moment, "I'm Zaire..what's your name?" Ghoul as pretty as her was likely to have an equally as pretty name, unless she was one of those that had parents whom hated her. Either way, a lot was in a name Zaire knew that for sure, considering it meant being to look her up later if this little run around turned out to be something worth while.
