Hobbies: Animal Care - Ever since she was a little girl, Sage knew that one day she wanted to work with animals. Her first encounter with an injured animal was a young bird who had fallen from its nest. Of course, after she'd run to her mother and told about the situation, she was told that its mother would reject it. After crying and pleading, her mother allowed her to keep the bird until it was healthy and could fend for its own. She has volunteered at a few animal shelters since then, but hasn't been with one consistently due to her father's Naval career requiring the family to move every three to four years. Since moving to Destiny City, she's begun volunteering at the local animal shelter and even offers her services as a part-time pet sitter. She's ecstatic about starting her veterinary technology program after graduating.
Learning - Sage has a strong desire to expand her knowledge about any and everything. She's read books about gluten's effects on the body one week, taken classes in playing the piano the next, and watched travel videos to find out more about the world around her. Anything that sparks Sage's attention, she's liable to delve into and explore.
Thrift Shopping - Sage's favorite and most frequented places to shop tend to be ones where people have donated to. You just never know what you'll stumble upon and usually for a near fraction of the cost of it brand new! Some of her most prized purchases have been from thrift shops, including her
crystal unicorn figurine.
Yoga - Physical fitness wasn't a large concern of Sage's until her father's passing. She tried taking up a few different sports, but ultimately her lack of coordination frustrated her to the point where she didn't enjoy what she was doing, until her mother introduced her to yoga. Yoga on the Wii Fit, that is. It quickly became a great bonding activity for the two grieving women after the loss of Sage's father as well as a great way to tone and strengthen their bodies. Sage uses yoga to also release her stress and anger.
Virtues:Devoted - When Sage makes something or someone a part of her life, she will do everything she can to protect it/them. As long as a person doesn't try to cause physical harm to herself, Sage will always put this person before her own well-being.
Honest - "Nobody likes a liar." That bit of advice was a reminder to keep Sage's younger self on the straight and narrow - that and the bitter taste of hand soap she'd
still have to deal with if she was caught in one. As Sage grew older, she no longer had to remind herself to tell the truth; it had become second nature. She isn't afraid to say what she thinks and give her own opinions, while not always what the recipient would like to hear.
Obedient - As the daughter of a Naval officer, strict rules and regulations played a large role in Sage's upbringing. Disobedience was simply not tolerated. It didn't take but a handful of times being practically banished to her room, only stocked with the bare necessities, for Sage to learn to follow her parents' will. As a young adult, she is compliant with most if not all rules. For instance, if the posted speed limit is forty-five, Sage opts to drive no faster than that.
Romantic - Sage is an absolutely hopeless romantic. She loves love, however corny that may sound. Her knight in shining armor can't seem to find her soon enough, but Sage knows one day the two will be together. Until then, she'll fantasize and cry over romantic novels and films.
Flaws:Boundary Issues - When Sage becomes close to someone, she really wants to be close to them. Many times, too close. If a friend's personal space ranges out to a foot and a half, Sage likes to stand/hover/crowd about closer to half of that. Her boundary issues don't stop there, though. She doesn't seem to understand that it isn't okay for her to read someone's diary or go through their trash. This has definitely caused a few broken friendships.
Clumsy - With a thousand things on her mind, Sage's mind drifts and she might as well literally have two left feet because she sure as hell doesn't know how to work the ones she has! Unless she's focused on one thing, she's bumping into people, furniture, walls... You name it, Sage has stubbed a toe on it. Yet when she is focused on ONE thing, she is able to combat this clumsiness and focus her whole mind on body on the act, allowing her to be something like a veterinarian.
Jealous - It's hard for Sage to share someone that she becomes close to. When she latches on to someone, she hates to be away from them and not involved in certain aspects of their lives. Once noticing someone intruding on her friend and her's relationship, she starts hogging them away from others. She'd feel strongly compelled to tell that special someone she didn't want them hanging out with another person because she missed them and was jealous.
Overly Formal - With manners being strictly enforced in her childhood home, Sage quickly caught on a little too well. She now calls most everyone "sir" or "ma'am" from the moment she meets them, including those around her age or possibly even younger. She never seems to grow out of formality with close friends and family.
