"Captains only, please."

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

________________Located in the Forbidden District is the Captain's Grand Meeting Hall. The topmost structure is an ordinary Japanese-fashioned temple surrounded by a large lake and various trees. The pathway to the temple is a long wooded trail with various small stone pillars reading "justice" upon them. The temple's door boasts the Gotei general symbol showing all that this the place where the Captains meet. Although highly secretive, the location is strangely kept clean and tamed from the elements. It's customary for the Captains to leave their Zanpakuto in a storage room just outside the actual meeting room. This shows the commonality between them all and eliminating the possible brawls that sometimes seem to rise between the fourteen Captains.
xxxxThe meeting room itself it quite interesting. It's an empty room, very low it aside from the dominate center light that illuminates the large circular table the Captain sit at. There are thirteen chairs positioned around the table and one single one level above it. The circular chair is reserved for the Captain-Commander. Her chair is also more lit than the table. This is because the attention is predominately on her the entire meeting as she gives her orders to the Thirteen. Behind the Commander is a wide window that takes up an entire wall of the room. This window shows the underwater scene of the lake around the temple. It's common that animals may swim past the window while the meetings commence. If a Vice-Captain is brought to the meeting, they are expected to stand some distance from the table out of respect. Also, just before the Commander's platform, there is another lower-elevated platform that holds a globe in place. The globe represents the Human World and is able to pull up a live feed of any section the Gotei wish to examine.

Mana was surprised to say the least, being called back urgently from his long term hiatus in the human world was one thing, to learn that an attempt was made on the Soul King's life was another completely. He was disgusted, the Soul King was such a divine being he knew that the only way he could protect the one he believed so strongly in was to get closer, and so his return to the eighth division seemed to be established once more. It had been a long time since he was last seated as the captain of his division and he was hoping that he would not have to take up the torch again but with the three highest seats of his division being corrupted there was little he could do but return. It disgraced him to learn the one who succeeded him was such a terrible man, he never expected the eighth division, one of the most pure to be so lost. Restoration was now the task left at his feet, he would do all in his power to salvage what was left of the eighth and build it back towards its former glory, however it would be a lot of work and require many friends, which was something he lacked, sadly to say.

A tug at his brand new haori caught his full attention, he was in the shadows of the meeting hall waiting appropriately to be introduced-- however his accomplice seemed to be growing impatient the pale skinned female at his side was about chest height to him, her hair was white as flower and her eyes were black and sharp. She was tiny but her appearance and way of presenting herself spoke of true elegance. Something that took Mana many years to perfect in the young woman who was in reality his zanpakuto manifested. A unique power he held, able to bring his zanpakuto into the physical world by severing his power almost completely and leaving it to her to help stabilize her presence here. Jishinmusume looked quite alluring, strange for a zanpakuto noted for being so violent, however spending countless years with her dear friend she had been taught much of how to present herself to others. She was in all technicality not a zanpakuto at the time but a human being and for that reason he allowed her to stay at his side during the meeting, knowing he would cause no danger and she would dare not move a step unless he advised her to do so.

She latched onto the arm of the taller male her face blank however she spoke with him quietly, like a mouse, her voice soft and silky as she explained to her friend that he was not alone here and he needn't worry about anything. The brown haired male smiled kindly down to his other half his eyes blooming and his whole demeanor easing itself. "You should not worry Mana, all of soul society are our friends, yes?" the zanpakuto's way of speaking was very direct as if it was pulled right off of paper, which it was, all of her speech was selected carefully by her, this way of talking in public being taught to her by Mana many years prior, she was still very stiff and mechanical when it came to its use. Mana just raised his arm placing it atop the younger girls head and rustling her hair into something a little more messy, which caused her to blink and smirk strangely before letting her blank expression resume. Once his hand fell back to his side and the young companion wrapped herself around it once more did he speak
"I hope that's the case, little one" he responded vaguely, however the young girl showed no signs of confusion, she knew fully well of the elder brother of the Imai family and his place within the gotei fourteen. She knew that her friend feared what his brothers judgement might bring, he had been running from his family for hundreds of years now, but he still wasn't ready to face them and own up to what he had caused.

(( Hope this first post is fine. ^^ ))

Tsudo Kanitachi

Squadron Two Captain

Shh. Don't Cry. Don't Cry. Let me sing you one last lullaby.
───────────────────────────────────

A shadowed figure seemed to slip from the darker places around the meeting hall, as Kanitachi approached the Meeting Hall, however he paused for a moment when he noticed a pair of people. He recognized one of them instantly, as the former head of one of the Corps, specifically the inner court troop he was more than familiar with the man before him. Still to see that uniform again upon those shoulders...it was truly a moment that he would remember. It meant that for the first time, two captains were replaced at once. As far as he could remember captains didn't get replaced, they were to be immovable fixtures of the Seireitei.

"My, My. Is that Mana-senpai? The world grows smaller with each passing year indeed." Kanitachi said with his characteristic smile in place, even as he leaned forwards to look at the shorter girl at a more equal level. Still there was something off about his smile, as if it possessed some innate malevolence.

"I would be surprised if you know of me, especially as my position is but a scant few moments old. I am Tsudo Kanitachi, new instated Squadron Two Captain. It is nice to meet you Senpai, I remember you well however." Kanitachi stood tall again, but the very air of his presence was off. Many would say he was a person who carried a shadow with him everywhere he went, and he wouldn't disagree. He was a nice person, but was poor at showing it other than with his...less than convincing smiles.

"Might I inquire what has brought you back in...full form while I am at it, Senpai?" The shadow questioned without even worrying of reprisal, his questions, and looks of inquiry were deceptively well trained.

Mana soon realized he was not alone, of course his presence was also quickly picked out as a tall figure made a straight line for him, inspecting him for a moment before speak in a fond manner, sadly Mana could not recall who this man was despite the fact the stranger clearly knew him from his past years as a captain. Even the males introduction gave the spiritual division captain little idea of where he could have known him from, deciding that he must have never spoken to the man before and the other knew him only through previous titles. He exchanged a kind smile with him nonetheless and put his arm around the young girl at his side while the male introduced himself as Tsudo Kanitachi of the second division, he would remember the name now. "I'm afraid to say I have little memory of you, however it is a pleasure all the same, as you know I am Mana Imai-- this is my companion and greatest of friends Jishinmusume" the young man explained, introducing his company who looked blankly ahead for the time being saying nothing. She was a puzzlement to most, only Mana held the secret of her identity, the fact that she was not only his ally but his very weapon was something he didn't tell many people, due to always appreciating her company despite the dangers it could hold to do so as she was known for being explosive.

As Tsudo rose Jishinmusume visibly tensed, the eerie aura emitting from the other captain seemed to have her spooked which alarmed Mana and caused him to pull the young looking woman closer to himself, despite the strangeness of it all her eyes seemed to switch and have a hard look about them now speaking of danger if this man were to act suspiciously. It seemed Mana's zanpakuto did not trust in Tsudo, something about him caused her to become defensive and alarmed, which if not kept in check could mean Jishinmusume taking things into her own hands and harming the man in order to preserve the life of her friend. His hold on her tightened, embracing her and calming the wild nature she seemed to take on, as if warning her against any rash decisions, as Mana knew she was quite unpredictable. Despite her appearance at the moment nobody but Mana knew what she was really like, and what she was capable of, although everyone in the area would be able to tell that she held all the spiritual pressure between the two of them and not the captain himself, something which may seem odd.

When asked of his return he seemed to take on a grim expression for a moment, surely his fellow captain knew of the ill fortune which seemed to be befalling soul society of late. However Mana was not sure how many knew of his traitorous children, those who he had taught all those years ago to strive for purity and peace turning out to be so lost in themselves that they became a blackness which swallowed his division whole. Now he was all that was left to clean up the ashes and restore what was lost, it made him ashamed but he was willing to carry the burden, not wishing to let down the captain commander and all the others he held dear in his heart.
"Her greatness the Captain Commander sent for me personally to hold up the mantle of the eighth division once more, this time I believe my stay will be a lengthy one, if not permanent" the young girl at his side seemed to flinch at this statement, Mana knew the idea of him staying here was unsettling to her, all the dangers that now surrounded this place made her uneasy as her sole wish was to protect the man she cared so deeply for, and he was making it incredibly difficult to do so by remaining where the danger was most prominent.

However the danger was not exclusive to soul society, he had his own difficult run-in within the human world, one that might be even more pressing than all the ill natured attacks that happened within the walls of seireitei. He had planned to return and bring news of his own perils to the captain commander much earlier but he was in no condition to travel, he narrowly escaped with his life when he had a run-in with what he knew to be a vasto lorde class hollow in the human world during his hiatus. He had been recovering from that single battle for the last seventy years now, just recently finding the strength to travel, he had fought such a monster, known to be rare and have the power to kill multiple captains at once, he escaped with his life on a thread, and nothing to show for it but the mask he was able to severe from the beast.
"There has been much unrest of late within the walls, and without-- I return only to lend whatever aid I can with the problems at hand, Jishinmusume and myself will be doing all we can during our time here that much is certain" he explained, nodding down to the young girl who seemed to be calm once more, her captain's words bringing ease to her worries and bringing forth her confidence and mysterious lady-like elegance once more. She hadn't spoken a word since the intrusion, partly because of not being asked to speak, and partly due to her shyness when in front of others in such a fragile state. The eighth division captain hoped his idle prattle gave enough information to the other male, he seemed to have a very curious nature and Mana wished to help his quench his thirst as much he could, although he knew very little of the happenings of late, he had spent the past couple hundred years isolated on a remote island in the earth realms after all, little news traveled his way.

With the uproar from the festival not too far behind them, it seems that the Commander had called for an emergency Captain's meeting, no doubt to brief all of them on the current situation as well as get the details from the few Division whose Captains or members actually fought with the cloaked figure. Atlas, the Captain of Division Eleven, slowly made his way up the long trail, leading up to the temple. He and his Division, along with a few others, were tasked with guarding the Seireitei, making sure that no one else enters or leaves, sadly this would not stop the cloaked man from leaving without a trace. Observing the serene scene of the vast and beautiful lake, surrounded by well-groomed trees and shrubbery, coupled with the sound of birds chirping, Atlas found the overall mood, rather calming, despite what had just happened prior to coming there.

After what seemed like hours to Atlas, but in reality, only a few minutes, he would finally reach the gates of the temple. Looking upon the massive doors, Atlas would smile and as expected of every captain, he would remove his zanpakuto from around his waist and take it to the storage room, which is to hold the zanpakuto from all of the other Captains as well. Placing it gently on a stand located next to an open window, Atlas left it there, without so much as a second thought. As he left the storage room, Atlas could make out the sounds of two distinct voices coming from within the Meeting Room. "Oh! It seems like there are others here before me." he stated just before opening the doors. Looking into the room, Atlas saw that there were actually three beings in the room. Judging by the haoris, it was clear that the two men were Captains, though Atlas did not recognize the new Division Two Captain, while the Division Eight, he knew little about. Atlas was one of the older Captains, he had been one of the first to be chosen by the King, so he would know most of those that came after him. The third being was different, she was quite strange, yet beautiful, there was definitely something weird about the young girl, but Atlas really didn't mind.

Walking into the room, Atlas looked towards the Division Two Captain first and bowed, then to the Division Eight Captain and bowed, "Pardon the interruption." he stated before sitting himself upright and making his way over to his seat. Which would be in between that of the Twelfth Division and Third. Sitting down while releasing a little sigh, Atlas mad himself comfortable, he knew that it was going to be a long meeting. Sadly, he did not get the chance to stop by the Compound and bring some sake to drink, or even freshen up a bit.

Tsudo Kanitachi

Squadron Two Captain

Shh. Don't Cry. Don't Cry. Let me sing you one last lullaby.
───────────────────────────────────

Kanitachi was careful to note the reactions of both people that were before him. There was a lot to learn from subtle gestures, and as usual he had put off at least one person in his vicinity. He internally sighed at his misfortune, but he also supposed that it was what he deserved from being who he was. His hands meeting behind his back as he looked at the former Captain, he nodded quietly.

"No, no. I would be surprised if anyone recognized me. I never expected such a role for myself. I merely wished to serve the best I could. If at this time, means that I serve as Captain...then so be it." Kanitachi glanced away as a presence came about them, another Captain no less. It was to be expected with the summons. He smiled in warm greeting to the new Captain, but to anyone but Kanitachi it would seem like a literal reaper was hanging over his aura waiting to claim all who are close to him. The Smiling Shadow indeed.

"Ah! Next is Atlas-senpai. Truly I am going to be blessed by all of the experience that my fellow Captains will be able to shower me with." Kanitachi looked back to the girl again, and withdrew his hands revealing he held some candy but held it out to the Captain instead.

"Ah. I feel like I may have gotten off on the wrong foot again. Allow me to offer your companion some candy to make up for bothering her?" The shadow tried to say in a friendly manner, but it came off as a bit creepy (read: creepy), before realizing his other senpai had addressed him formally, and smiled waving it off.

"Ma, Ma. I don't think I could ever see my Senpai's polite introduction could be anything close to an interruption. After all, while I may not be well known to my Senpai's, I know my Senpai's...rather well." Kanitachi's words grew more distorted and creepy at the end, as his smile seemed to take on a positively insane quality, but his predecessor had just been removed for mental instability...what did that say about Kanitachi then?

"One of these days I'll catch fire again."

Voices. Or rather, a voice, just one speaking to itself rather rapidly. Falling behind Squadrons Eight, Eleven, and Two, the foremost and last most being new and unknown to him, Yeon was the next to enter the room. Unfortunately, it wasn't his favorite number. He had entered fourthly, and found those who sat on either side of them already there, although he only saw three Captains and a girl. He ignored the one who obviously wasn't a Captain, but no doubt related, and paid little heed to the two whose names he did not know. He was just putting on a new shirt, the very last button being done up as he entered. Yeon's haori was already over his shoulders, the odd red "eyes" looking out at anyone that looked towards the tail end of the coat. He had taken the liberty of getting a few things delivered to him along the way. One of those things was his shirt. The other was a stack of papers kept under his arm.

As he strode to his spot, he heard some basic conversation, the speech unimportant and not at the forefront of his mind. He was much more focused on the papers, which he moved into his hands, flipping through them. His eyes scanned the page from top to bottom, and then he flicked it with his thumb, moving onward to the next page. Most of what he was looking at was small bits of text and numbers. A closer look and one could see those were mostly prices, or other described units of money. There were a few more pages at the bottom, though they were bound differently, not like the booklet of forms he was going through. Those contained different information, and were thusly kept separate. Besides, neither of these had to be in here, but the first set was supplementary reading for the Captain politician, the latter was something the others might want to see. Who knew?

"And when I do, I'll burn brighter than all the lies."

Yeon's Thoughts: Irresponsible, reckless people! It will take far too long to soothe anyone thanks to that. They destroyed a huge bit of the castle and the damage... Ugh.

What a drag. Montiago was all set up to be able to hangout, share a few drinks, and enjoy some hookers at Miyu's Pleasurable when they were called to a meeting. It seemed like they had only just been evacuating to, what did they beat the s**t out of the guy so much command thought it was safe now? In actuality though it wouldn't surprise him if the dude was dead somewhere, and if he wasn't he really hoped that he would be in agony. That a*****e caused to much trouble and very few others besides most of his entire squad did anything about it. Oh right, the ******** heads who did virtually nothing would be at this meeting to.

In the typical manner of Montiago he waltzed into the fancy a** captains meeting hall, clad it what looked like patched together clothing that was mixed and match. He had lost his only good loin cloth and had to make use of some of the extra clothing that was just laying around as he evacuated people, making his attire quite comical at best. Like that mattered though, he wouldn't give a s**t if he showed up to the meeting balls out.

The captain didn't give much more then a grunt in a form of greeting to the others as he practically fell into his chair and thrummed his fingers impatiently.

Two of the people he didn't recognize but the black haired white eyed freak that seemed to be thumbing over papers or some other lawyer s**t. He was one of the guys that Montiago saw was just watching the fight, you know one of those '******** if i'll help' kind of guys. "Hope we didn't cause to much paperwork for you flower beating the s**t out of the guy we were supposed to" Montiago said to him, emphasizing the fact that they were suppose to catch the guy.

"Where the hell is that ******** who calls himself our commander" Montiago said under his breath as he put his grimy feet up on the table and relaxed into his chair as best he could. Honestly the things felt like they were made of ******** rocks, or maybe he really did have buns of steel.

"One of these days I'll catch fire again."

Yeon didn't really bother answering the noisy individual who just entered. Not only was there no reason to answer him, there was no point in humoring a man trying to incite some action. His tone as well as his very words were inflammatory, and consequently, he deserved no ire from the Captain Politician thumbing his way through numbers. He did reply, just not verbally, instead reaching into that back booklet, taking out one of the pages, and standing up, carried it to the other, the noisy Captain of the Fifth, dropping it unceremoniously on his lap, and then returning to his own seat. Like the other back brace of papers, this one had the basics of what had happened. The assailant could move easily in and out of crowds, teleport at least short distances, the blast and apparent strength of it, as well as the larger blast used at the beginning. No more, nor less. It was what had been observed.

Once seated again, Yeon began to hum quietly to himself, looking over the rest of the papers. Most of the Captains had restrained themselves a bit, though the same could not be said for absolutely everyone. Some of the sheets of paper had various marks on them already, where he had marked off what could and could not be spared. As it was, this was a light reading compared to the usual paper work, although he didn't enjoy moving around funding directly before a meeting. Not to mention, this wasn't exactly set in stone, everything being a rough estimate at the moment. With a sigh, he set the papers down, breaking from it a bit, pinching the bridge of his nose. Why did all that have to happen today?

The duo stood together firmly, nodding at the next couple captains that seemed to pool in, recognizing a few faces and unable to place a few others, his absence was a long one and his memory was not so sharp so he was afraid he could not remember them all. He was more intrigued with the second division at the moment, the man was so cheery and bright it made Mana certain he was a worthy captain and ally, he was unaffected by the darkness that seemed to surround the male, everyone had their own blackness attempting to swallow them, that didn't change who they were. Tsudo seemed in all rights to be a very kind individual and that is all Mana chose to see him as, only taking the core meaning of his words and brushing off the eeriness that followed suit. "Captain Kanitachi although you never expected such a role I expect you'll be an excellent captain, I congratulate you personally on your advancement and extend my hand in friendship as a fellow fresh captain of the gotei fourteen" Mana explained truthfully, glad to see such a man was seated despite the strangeness of him, even if Jishinmusume couldn't seem to let her guard down around him it didn't mean Mana needed to be on guard, his accomplice was there for his protection and he had enough faith in her not to worry. She was a better warrior than himself, and she would never let harm come to him while she was on watch, this much he knew for certain, he could always rest easy knowing that his young lady was close by.

As the candy was held out before him the eighth division captain let out a small chuckle, accepting the treat graciously and handing it to the young girl who cupped it in both hands staring blankly at the wrapped object in her palm as if she hadn't the slightest clue what to do with it. Mana just gave a small smile before reaching down and removing the wrapper for the young lady, placing the candy to her lips and letting it rest on the inside of her mouth. She blinked a few times unsure of what was going on, however after a few moments her eyes seemed to glaze over and the stiff lady seemed to finally give off a human-like reaction indulging in the sweetness of the candy she had. She looked a lot more childish now than she had before as the candy was visibly moved around her mouth from one cheek to the next attempting to get the full flavor out of the little treat.
"Thank you" the captain exchanged simply to his new friend, it was very rare the odd young woman at his side was treated with such kindness, her pale skin and offputting aura usually drove those around to ignore her presence. Mana spent many days and nights attempting to civilize his zanpakuto, in reality she was rough around the edges and a bit of a wild card however in the company of others she was now able to compose herself appropriately thanks to her friends training.

The snowy haired girl seemed to be finished with the candy after a few moments and was quick to remember her proper etiquette as she bowed in a rather robotic and unflattering manner to the other captain. She was not very graceful, she was basic in all ways of speaking however it was the first signs of her letting her guard down in this room filled with so many great powers. "Th-Thank you very much, honorable captain of the second division..." she spoke meekly and quiet like a mouse, not but a squeak, this caught Mana off guard, his shocked expression lasting only a moment before it was replaced by a warming smile and his hand ran through the flower-white hair of his friends once more, she seemed to enjoy it when her hair brushed to perfection became wild, it brought the smallest of smiles to her lips before vanishing shortly after. This was Jishinmusume's first social interaction with any other human besides Mana himself, he was very proud of his zanpakuto being able to overcome her shyness in order to do what was right, she was most definitely improving herself beyond what he thought possible.

Tsudo Kanitachi

Squadron Two Captain

Shh. Don't Cry. Don't Cry. Let me sing you one last lullaby.
───────────────────────────────────

Kanitachi was quiet for a moment, as he looked to Mana, his eyes shadowed by his hair, as he listened to the man's words. Slowly however, he looked up and the smile that broke across his face wasn't the wide mad grin he used so often, but instead was a smaller smile. It was a sign that the other Captain had made a powerful first step in make a life long friend. Kanitachi was so used to putting fear into others, or being the subordinate, that he didn't even know what exactly it meant to have real friends. Perhaps he would find his answer here with his fellows. Still his gaze was stole by the Fifth Squadron's Captain, and a quiet frown marred his features, his expression taking on a deadly sharpness to it, before his characteristic grin split his face again for a moment.

He had nearly forgotten he had been holding out the candy until it had been accepted. Glancing back to the Captain and the man's companion, he watched the interaction with great curiosity. Still he remained warm to the pair, he himself loved depth to interactions. "Thank you. Mana-san, I hope that our time working together will be most productive for the betterment of our home." His attention was brought back to the girl beside the Captain. He could admit the girl gave off strange feelings, but he had no place to judge on strangeness.

"To the Mad Man, the Strange seem only Normal. While the Normal seem Strange. Isn't that right? Master Kanitacti?" The voice of Mirakagami echoed in his mind, and he responded in the positive. Kanitachi knew he seemed quite off to the world around him, and he was. Unmistakably broken, but he was broken in a way that could be useful to his friends, and a terrible detriment to his enemies.

"Ma, Ma. No need for such formalities between friends. Tsudo or Kanitachi if you'd prefer to use my personal name are both fine." Kanitachi was scratching his cheek with his index finger, a blush alighting his features from the strange feeling of having someone being so respectful. "Thank you though, I think I need to start learning to take such formalities better, ne?"

xxxxxEveryone had seemed to be having some sort of conversation as they waited for the head captain and the other captains to join them. With that said Daitachi was one of the captains they were waiting for. He wasn't known to show up early but he wasn't known to show up late either. Perfect timing was all he needed to keep himself out of trouble. Sometimes, however, people would get a little mad at Daitachi's sense of timing. Coming at the perfect time had its ups but it also had some downs as well. As the other Captains conversed another figure could be seen entering the Meeting hall. It was the Captain that not only held 1 powerful blade, but two. One being different from the other. His power was still unknown to most captains but he preferred this.

xxxxxxAll the captains seemed to be having a good time talking to each other. Well Daitachi wasn't one to talk but he was one to play tricks on others as a form of entertainment. People found it annoying sometimes but Daitachi thought of it as fun. He was naturally the tallest of all the captains in the soul society. Hell, he was even taller than some of the gate keepers as well. His abnormal height made it kind of weird in the meeting hall. The closest person to his height was around 7 foot if not a few inches taller than 7 foot itself. It made going to human events pretty easy considering he didn't really have to get onto his toes to look over the people in front of him. Since he was now inside the meeting hall, he would take his spot and look at the other captains. "You guys beat me here I guess." He stated with a smile on his face. "Did you guys capture the masked man or no?" He asked in a serious tone of voice as he crossed his arms over his chest to wait for an answer.

So surprise surprise he was all around ignored besides being thrown some rubbish paperwork and the captain had yet to show up. A giant of a man did and he seemed a bit more Montiagos type of dude, mostly because he looked so violent. When he asked if they captured the masked man Montiago let out a bark of laughter before saying "As if. My men beat the s**t out of him but I don't think anyone else in the entire hall even bothered to go after him let alone find that a*****e".

He would repeat it again and again until the end of time and the fact still would piss Montiago off but there was little else he could do. Even if he made a scene out of it he knew the typical responses he would get back all of which were stupid, just like the people giving them.

xxxxxxQuite the dilemma Seireitei is in indeed. A spontaneous invader appears before the Soul King himself and draws a blade. The Gotei is scattered about, once again, covering the tracks of yet another random happening. Now, the very souls who stand as the pillars of hope are a muck of disputes and egoisms. Lorde, having received word of the impromptu meeting immediately made her way from the Southern district to the forbidden grounds with haste. A deep uneasiness brews within her belly with every step she takes along the long pathway to the grand hall. A constant lump embedded inside of her just waiting to implode. It can't be helped, though, her fear that is. What exactly does she fear anyways? Is she not a Captain? It's a funny thing, fear is.

Now approaching the large temple-like building, the Captain would enter the massive doors, settling her Zanpakuto inside the designated storage room. Her eyes would catch a considerable amount of blades; the others must've already arrived. She stands here now, looking at her dormant blade. The soft murmur of voices fill the halls, echoing off of one another, highlighting the emptiness of this relic. Inhaling, she'd pull her haori closer to her shoulders and leave the room, entering the meeting chambers. She catches sight of a small group of haori-clad individuals chatting amongst themselves. The Commander has not yet arrived; the tension is hidden and unbearable. She'd nod to the men who stand closest to the entrance. They are unfamiliar to her, Are they replacements? she thinks whilst passing, stealing a glance at the emblems imprinted on the back of their white robes. Squadrons Two and Eight?

Lorde takes her seat, respectfully between twelve and fourteen, towards the rightmost side of the circular table. Neither one of her neighbours are in attendance, but the eleventh, Atlas, sits just a seat down from her. She salutes to him, sending a small smile in his direction. Before she can give a vocal 'hello', the loud boom of Montiago's voice cuts her short. She'd peer at his figure, stretched out with dirty feet atop the white table. "No need to brag Montiago...disobeying direct orders isn't something to be proud of, even if you, what did you say, 'beat the s**t out of him'. We all had a role, so don't discredit everyone else." she'd say, crossing her legs and resting against the curved chair. Lorde isn't one to quietly sit and take a tongue lashing, and she often spoke out against her counterparts whenever she felt the need. Montiago's bragging sparks a fire inside of her. If there's one thing she hates, it's a man who has to tell everyone how powerful he is.

But, needless to say, her impatience quickly kicks in. Being in the company of the other Captains just irks the woman beyond reasonable value. A few meet ups here and there are perfect, but getting fourteen Captains together...that's a whole different story. Their egos always clash: it never fails at these meetings. At a time like this, they need to work as a cohesive unit...

                                              But is it possible?

"One of these days I'll catch fire again."

Of course. Perform a simple action and the maddest of dogs will still find fault with it if he can't break it down to violence. Yeon was half surprised the man, well, Mangler, as it stood, didn't wad the paper up and shove it in his mouth to eat it like some kind of beast. He probably wasn't going to respond until Lorde entered the room, proceeding to tongue lash the other Captain in return. A bit of a surprise really, but oh well. They happened and they would continue to happen. Surprises were simply like that, such was their nature. Since he had more Captains showing up, Yeon decided to go ahead and distribute the rest of the information he had in his booklet to the others. Unclipping it from its bindings, he stood up and walked around, setting down a single copy in front of each of the present Captain, save Squadron Five, who had already received his in rude fashion similar to the way he spoke. Once the simple deed was done, he returned to his own seat, only a small handful of the papers in his hands, aside from the pile of sheets listing the costs of repair, the volume of which he had already looked over several times. He set the whole stack down and remained in silence. Others were being chatty, and dare he say it, even friendly. But, that probably would all fall away as soon as the meeting got under way. They weren't the most collaborating individuals. Those who were meant to fight and those who were not often went at each other's throats in a hate-frenzy. It was evident already between the exchange of himself and Mangler. Then out of those who did fight, it was most likely worse. Combat begot combat and no doubt the combat oriented groups wanted to be the strongest. He sighed, then silently chuckled to himself. Yeon was in no way out of the curve, but he certainly liked to think he was. After all, he waged a war of mentalities with the Rukongai daily, such was his job.

"And when I do, I'll burn brighter than all the lies."

Yeon's Thoughts: He just simply won't learn, will he?
